  • The contents of this train came from one, average, middle-class American household... ;)

  • so thats whats making the earthquakes in indiana lol jk

  • cool video man i didn"t know what whistle that was but it was csx did that sign say 1 track or two tracks thank you for this video

  • @jbhuntcsx

    thanks, it 2 tracks.

  • @jbhuntcsx why was the train going so slow LOL

  • That is CSX Q703 or i believe my friend

  • @CSX2665

It is now, however 3 years ago when this video was made it was K277 and the reverse train was K276. CSX dropped many of the K train designations and started the Q7XX series. This included the Juice train which used to be K650.

  • @bubba2781 i know & the Juice train used to K651.

  • @charlieb640 i agree ive lived around tracks for years n seen way worse than wat this fellow is talkin

  • @charlieb640 I would be willing to bet there is some lack of maintenance on these tracks....CSX track maintenance standards are typically lacking compared to NS. Fouled ballast, rails not perfectly true, etc. I've studied both systems' trackage extensively, and while CSX is improving, their track maintenance is still not what NS's track maintenance is.

  • yeah, I don't see them bouncing...nice pic though

  • I wanted it to bounce and CRASH!!! DISKLIKE VID IS DISLIKED!

  • What's inside the containers?

How long is each platform railcar?

    My guess is 53'.

  • What is in those containers in the garbage from New York on its way to a landfill in VA. The flats are 80' long.

  • @bubba2781 i see that train go by me in new york and one goes by with garbage and come back empty

  • sorry bubba ? but i couldnt detect any variation when the train went by, i used the tops of the rail cars and the crossing gate poles as a reference, there is no change in height at all. please tell us what you are seeing here?

  • Bubba i couldn't tell if they were bouncing up and down on the tracks O.o

  • Now thats cool to watch!!!!

givin at a certin rate of speed, its obvious that its possible for those cars to be "bouncing" along.

  • can someone make a vid of "train vs inflatable whale"

i got fined $5500 for being on the railway property

  • howd you get such a big fine?

  • where?? how close u where to them tracks??

  • thats because u shld never put items on the tracks, EVER. its a serious federal offense.

  • there not bouncing, the road GROUND gets higher not the rails, giving the illusion the train is (pumping) usually a void or poor ballast condition, if it was the actual rails its called a twist, if the CANT raised more than 10mm in a 3000mm (3meter) distance space then it would be taken care of asap

  • Rofl its just the angles on the bottom of the train and the camera moving that makes it look like it's bouncing..

  • lies

  • NO AWAY

  • there aint a bounce in tht

  • I work for CSX in the rack department. and agree with you. I worked on these tracks at one time, and on big mainline freight tracks such as this, they would not be undermaintained.

  • rails are only allowed to move a tiny bit.

  • I wonder how many trains went by that had sparks, machines guns , spikes and other nasty stuff pointed at the side thus scaring the crap out of the car drivers. :)

  • what the hell are you talking about?

  • are you on drugs?

  • ♫ He's going off the rails on the crazy traaain! ♫

  • not realy fast

  • how did this get so many views?

  • poorly maintained tracks

  • Hey my mom works for csx

  • This Green crates are filled with the finest NYC garbage out of The Bronx. Hence the graffiti.

  • There's a reason freight cars have suspension systems. I woudln't worry about something like this.

  • berto, rigo berto, go berto. The train is calling my friends name!

  • Typical lack of preventative maintenance on the part of our government supported "white elephant". Train de-rails keep us busy at NTSB, frankly the days of the iron horse died years ago. Its time we try something new.

  • Like what?

  • I'm confused.

The government doesn't support railroads in the US.

The tonnage hauled by the railroads in the US increases annually? When did it die?

  • I didn't see the bouncing...

  • Now try filling out your work order when you're bouncing around like that. I always photocopy my work order and fill out the good copy once we're off the train.

  • Wow. How interesting. Thank you.

  • 42 cars

  • 41

    there is two engine-trains

  • thats long!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Thats what she said!

  • ive seen longer trains than that

  • the video frame rate blows too hard to really see.

it seems like there is a dip in the center of the crossing, making the front wheel on each car dip on entering the crossing, then both the front and back wheels raise up simultaneously (since they are the same length as the crossing itself) , creating a "hop". i wonder what the amount of added stress that causes to the whole damn system.

    again, crap frame rate man.

  • And it's another horrid K5HL.

  • They don't look like they're bouncing to me...that creaking sound is natural at train crossings. The trains that go through my town always make that noise and the track is fine.

  • imagine if the middle of one of those cars snaps at the bounce point, AT SPEED. it'd make for some great video....

  • NICE the videooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • looks like one of our CN tracks here in Canada :-)

  • those things are so raunchy on hot days. PU, i gotta hold my nose when they pass. Arent train tracks at crossings supposed to flex a little tiny bit so there arent derailments. NO OFFENSE to CSX but they do need some work done. Nice colors though, just like catonsvilles colors.

  • dude thats fucking pointless... and what are u saying my dad works for csx.

  • There is no bouncing going on here - or very little if any. Those trash cars (USWX, AWXX, etc) all are not actually flat - but are curved slightly for increased strength. Fix your line of sign on the top of the gate and you will notice nothing is bouncing.

  • Definetely bouncing. listen to the drawbars bouncing up and down.

  • What you hear is not the drawbars, its the suspension.

  • ...Its called suspenton... the only thing that is bouncing is the cameraman

  • suspension

  • Hahahahaha.

  • RR crosings have longer cross ties and engineered to resist rail 'flexing' when trains cross. (quite expensive, but keeps roadway pavement in good shape for cars to drive across.) The tracks on either side of crossing are built in a normal fashion where a degree of flexing under a moving load is to be expected. When cars roll onto stiffer track at crossing, they will tend to bounce due to the springs in their wheel sets.

  • A lot of crossings around here have those damn sand boils because of it, too.

  • i don't see any bouncing...

  • Shut up wirefire. It is true, but they are doing some work down where i live. Do you live near santa fe or bnsf or norfolk southern.

  • The problem is they have work do to EVERYWHERE ELSE.

  • Did that train come from Toronto? :p

  • Nice bouncer! I like to see videos of trains over bad tracks, thus causing the cars to sway 2 to 3 ft back and forth.

  • Wow, that was intense!

  • How was the smell? Even empties are raunchy!

  • The Emerald Express rolling through town huh.
