  • James Woods as Owlman...sweet

  • I like that quote Batman said to Owlman before he sent him away:

"There is a difference between us. We both looked into the abyss. But when it looked back at us, you blinked."

6:56 to 7:29 - Background music is still awesome.

  • Listen to what Owlman said. "You should have sent your flying man, you MIGHT would have had a chance." I don't think he was unprepared. If he is truly similar to batman then he would have had a fell-safe to prevent him from throwing it. Plus Owl man probably would've just pushed the button upon seeing Superman instead of risking a global beat down, then we would have never got to hear his cool monolog.

  • James Woods is the fucking man!

  • Owlman = Batman/Iron Man rip off

  • Since when the f*ck is Flash too slow for anything?

  • @djgodzilla94 He wasn't really, Batman just wanted to save him from what happened to Johnny.

  • @Sigma9870 If you were a member of the Crime Syndicate wouldn't you be slightly pissed off that a member of the Justice League got your buddy hurt bad? Batman's kinda cold to be a super hero sometimes

  • Superman uses his flight, super speed, heat vision and invulnerability to save the entire world.

Batman uses his martial arts proficiency and quick wit to save the entire fabric of reality.

    Batman wins.

  • @TheWiseGuy784 don't for get the hard choices batman makes "without blinking", and the guilt he consciously and willingly put on his shoulders

  • @TheWiseGuy784 Lol, Supes could have done it faster without having to listen to Owlman's philosophical fail 101 AND without blowing up a whole planet as collateral damage.

    Superman wins.

  • @Gehan01 lol but as you can see that superman never actually realizes to use his awesome superpowers to save the world when it's necessary.Superman=low IQ

  • @ManlaiSadis Supes shouldn't be a fool, but batman's overwhelming popularity with fans has DC writers bending over backwards to give him wins he shouldn't possibly have in situations he shouldn't possibly be in. Punching out Darkseid = best example.

Everyone in that room is an idiot for trusting the fate of the entire multiverse on the weakest man there, especially Batman and Luthor who have brains but chose not to use them here.

  • @ManlaiSadis Superman isn't stupid. He's scared of his full potential.

  • @ManlaiSadis LMFAO.

  • @Gehan01 It's never certain whether the weapon wouldn't detonate if he destroyed it. Batman is smarter. If he knew blowing up the weapon could disarm it then he would have used his exploding boomerang, but he didn't 'cause there's a chance it may have detonated. So using force is out of the question. That's why he had to grab the teleporter & use it on the weapon. I doubt superman is that smart to come up with that.

  • @suchAnoob I know you know some of Superman's powers: Super sight, hearing, reflexes, strength, speed, frosty breath, eye lasers and super marbles playing skills (all canon) among others.

In addition to the array of powers at his disposal they are also unbelievably vast. His strength is planet busting, his speed is speedster level, his heat vision can evaporate oceans. He's a God. There are literally thousands of ways he could have disarmed the bomb, Batman was not the safe choice here.

  • @Gehan01 yeah, but owlman has the tactical advantage over Superman; if batman can outwit superman, so can batman. Though, superman could probably use his superspeed to disarm the bomb and rip apart owlman sentry style lol

  • damn

  • The Flash... Not fast enough? What the fuck? Speedforce anyone?

  • @Nanaman12345 did you watch the end? batman said it on purpose to let the other guy vibrate himself into old age

  • @ahhduy My bad

  • Man, James Woods is chillingly awesome when he plays evil. awesome that you posted this

  • @sherlock8898 wE ArE iN THE AbySS.

  • Even if there are really alternate universes out why worry about them? We should just focus on what where doing in are own. I know obvious bet I just needed to say it or type it in this case.

  • @ManlaiSadis No I mean as movies.

  • You know i was really disgusted with this scene. This was no fight, just a one sided beat down. It totally ruined the whole movie for me. All in all just a big let down.

  • @cmi2010 it makes sense, owlman kills. his suit and tactics are to kill and be damaging. batman's tools aren't made for that reason.

  • batmans so easy to beat in this

  • is it just me or does owlman seem alot like niteowl from the watchmen?

  • Batman saves the Multiverse and...

    "It dosen't matter."

  • I absolutely LOVE the music when Batman gains the upperhand and says "We both looked into the abyss..", and so on.

  • There should be a Batman VS Owlman movie if not just an Owlman movie. Friggin' cool!

  • And batman also has a broken rib from a earlier fight...

  • Its confirmed. Batman is the most dangerous of all Justice League. He can beat Superman, all he needs is Kryptonite, and he will own Superman.

  • @mcam51 Kinda makes Owlman seem even more Dangerous.

  • ...Doesn't that mean theres another universe's owlman and go to Earth Prime to blow it up and succeed?

  • damn how the hell can batman be that epic

  • you blinked

  • yeah as some one pointed out earlier "Batman gives his enemies over confidence" "after all he's just a man" but those fool don't know this guy is "badass BATMAN!" and as per as question why batman went to save instead of anyone else ... its explained by "Owlman" in the conversation itself.. i.e. "he trusts no one to do what is necessary ..... he take's the mantle" probably a great strength (which can be exploited as a weakness)

  • Ok, wait... out of all the superheroes, why was batman the one to go after owlman??? Why wouldnt they get superman in their to blow him up with his eyes or something?

  • @KASAfreakinBLONKA becasue batman is epic

  • @ninjaflash2525 Haha regardless I still think everything would've gone a lot smoother if they just sent in wonderwoman or green lantern... someone who actually has powers:P

  • The abyss that they speak of, isn't that in the bat cave????

  • The abyss that they speak of, isn't that in the bat cave.

  • OwLMANs poinT Of veiws ArE strong & I myself think his mind set is correct . Mankind is a cancer & it should be removed.

  • @z0MqMike You stared into the abyss and blinked didn't you?

  • OLwMAN fTw ------------------->

  • fuck owlman batman is whats up.

  • Anyone notice that Owlman's device looks like a gigantic GLaDOS turret?

  • i wonder if in another universe if anyone has ever tried that.... makes you wonder.. ...IS BATMAN REAL!?

  • "It doesn't matter" epic quote he just doesn't care about anything

  • batman could probably batttle him a bit more easier if he did not have that broken limb

  • 3:01 3:30 owlman sounds like he just made up all that stuff to try and impress somone

  • i really like this movie its awesome with good fighting i loved this final scene

  • Batman and Owlman are both retarded.

Owlman only has part of the picture, and, if Owlman was correct, why didn't he abort the explosion, and go back to earth prime, and do what he meant without Batman's disturbance? Idiots.

  • 0:44

lol, Luthor sounds like he's just making stuff up from the top his head...

  • @CorruptedVehemence lol he does

  • wow, this was a good Batman voice. Kevin Conroy he is not but still he is pretty damn badass.

  • mankind fighting againts mankind. James Woods killed it as owlman

  • batman is agent zero for a reason...knowing every hero(s) weakness while begin only human is pro! ;)

  • "We both looked into the Abyss...but when it looked back at us...you blinked"

    epic quote is epic

  • @DFKZakku, please excuse my ignorance, but can you explain that quote to me? i really want to know what it means..i don't get it..lol

  • @KrimzunFlare if you understand the stories of the characters, it get's easier to understand. Batman - lost parents. Owlman - lost mother and brother (blames father). Batman still kept towards the good path even after experiencing something dark, but Owlman strayed from it, became a villain. That's as well as i could explain it, think wiki could help explain more, dunno.

  • @KrimzunFlare well, you know, the quote is put as somewhat a metaphor. Abyss = their tragedies

blinking = thought it was all, darkness, emo, etc

not blinking = batman is awesome

  • @DFKZakku, thanks, i think i kinda get it now, wiki didn't really help me out though...

  • @KrimzunFlare they both felt pian and tragedy, and Owlman went the path of evil because he felt the world owed him something for it. Batman felt the same thing, but instead of turning evil with the pian and tragedy, he took it and began fighting the good fight.

  • @DFKZakku I came my pants when he said that.

  • one thing I don't get.. if there is an infinite number of earths out there, and we make infinite number of choices, there must be a parallell earth where Batman failed to stop Owlman, where Owlman actually detonated the bomb, which means Batman's world would cease to exist... but it doesn't

  • @DemiathDoomhammer I'm assuming that Owlman or anybody just does not have the power to tamper with reality. I was thinking the same thing. I guess Earth Prime isn't the only Earth Prime.

  • @DemiathDoomhammer but there's only one earth prime.

  • owlman is clearly the more badass out of the two man....

  • what does batman told owlman before he gets teleported?

  • i did like the ending- thought it was one of the most epic things... ever... especially the quote- but it could have been better had batman not been so...... pathetic.

Owlman= my new favorite comic villain

  • this movie makes owlman seem so fuckn badass! im just dissapointed with batman in this movie- the ending where he took him down was pretty cool- but other than that they made him seem really weak- he should have been able to at least hold his ground (both physically, and intellectually) with owlman-but he lost both fights pretty badly, and didnt even put up a decent argument with owlmans philosophy... i mean does he agree with him?and i kno he has a broken rib and owlman has cybernetics but stil

  • @CrappSlayer

thats debatable from a point of view. i mean as for owlman's philosophy, what would be the point of arguing with him. how DO you argue with someone who is convinced that nothing means anything and that existence is pointless? you can't argue with that! you just can't. even batman can't. it's like trying to negotiate with a terrorist. it doesnt work. no matter what you do, you lose.

  • @NinjaxPrime oh come on! you dont honestly believe that do you? thats exactly why they negotiate with terrorists! and this isnt some random- completley psycho thug- its a version of him- a parrallel version. i was just saying it could be more heated like- when batman fought his alternate self in the justice lords episode in Justice League Unlimited. owlman did ALL the talking in this fight and batmans only response was a weak- "u must've been good once". whcih owlman also countered.

  • @CrappSlayer Oh yes he should have been having a heated discussion on philosophy with an evil parallel version of himself, who is wearing a cybernetic suit that can go up against Wonder Woman, and is completely convinced that the only real choice to be made is the destruction of the whole of existence. Batman stated perfectly, "you're insane." At that point he realized there was nothing to do but fight. It's the same reason Joker did most of the talking in DK, there is no arguing with insanity.

  • @tinamoul cmon.. did you see the jlu fight?

  • @NinjaxPrime and plz plz plz for the love of god dont try to tell me what i already know- yes he is technically his older brother i know that- but hes still the parallel batman.

  • @NinjaxPrime srry- but you wouldnt believe how many people try to nitpick my comments like that- "But he ISNT bruce hes thomas wayne jr!!!!!!!!!!! omfg omfg lolz roflzzzzz" i hate that kinda thing...

  • @CrappSlayer

lol and yes. i saw the JLU fight. it was awesome. that can't be denied. but i think justice lords batman is a very different character than owlman in that:

    A- he wasn't a nihilist.

B- he was a fascist who believed in the need to protect society from itself, rather than a criminal out for personal gain.

C- he wasnt insane and hadn't completely crossed the moral event horizon.

D- there was a plausible way to debate him.

  • @CrappSlayer

tell you what. show me how you can debate with owlman's point of view. just show me. how do you argue with someone who believe existence is pointless? i am a reasonable person. if you can convince me, i will yield to your logic.

  • @NinjaxPrime what? wtf? srry dude- im in high school ive got better things to use my intelligence on

  • @CrappSlayer What NinjaxPrime said.

  • @tinamoul and back at u with what i said to him- go watch justice league and the Justice lords episode

  • @CrappSlayer I have that is why I said what NinjaxPrime said. There is a difference between arguing with a Nihlist and a Fascist. As he said if you can provide a logical way to debate with someone who believes existence is pointless, and actually built a device to end it all, then I will agree with you.

  • @tinamoul fuck you- have better things to do than come up with arguments for fictional characters- if u dont believe theres a way to argue with him than you just arent intelligent enough to- dont make the generalization that everyone is- ill save forming arguments for my ap english class rather than waste time here

  • @CrappSlayer Learn some manners kid, you can't go about losing it at the drop of a hat, it'll get you in trouble. If I had known you were a silly little child I wouldn't even have bothered trying to debate philosophy with you. Thinking is never a waste. I won't waste anymore time on you.

  • Comment removed

  • @tinamoul losing it? the one who sounds like hes losing it is you- and philosiphy- theres nothing philisophical about this argument- anything can be argued dumbfuck. And really- age-ism? ignorant motherfuckers like you arent worth arguing with- are you racist too? what if i said im black? what then? am i now a nigger and a kid? Age-ism is just another form of ignorance- the plague sweeping america

  • @CrappSlayer Just how old are you?

  • @tinamoul this is strange replying to 2 people- ok so i told the other guy i was in high school, but i told u about my ap english- which means you could have implied i was in high school- which i implied was the reason you were calling me kid? unless its just a crappy derogatory term for your opponents- in which case i dont see how its an effective insult- epecially IF they are the same age, not saying you are, but most people who use the word "kid" are teenagers too.

  • @tinamoul and wtf is your problem? i have more than enough essays to write without having to write a "batman v.s. owlman" argument.. writing things like that require too much time and effort that i dont feel like spending- maybe if it were still summer.....

  • @tinamoul one last thing- you can think the fight is fine as it is- and tell me it is all day, nothing you could possibly say is going to change the fact that i think it could be better- i dont have to prove anything- i stated i think it could be better- its an opinion- saying "prove it" is a bullshit tactic and you know it- hows this- prove this fight is perfect and un-improvable. Prove its completley flawless- prove he couldnt possibly argue with owlman no matter what. What makes it so perfect?

  • @CrappSlayer You are a very badly behaved child.

  • @tinamoul hhhmmmmm.... theres a sexual innunendo here... are you a girl?

  • @CrappSlayer hahaha, you are such a repressed teenager, and a stupid one too.

  • @tinamoul I don't get it? I love this final fight but whats wrong with thinking it could be improved, I don't understand why having an opinion is wrong. Besides its a cartoon there's no reason to get so upset about it.

    P.S. OWLMAN KICKS ASS

  • @Mxyzptlk411 There's nothing wrong in thinking that it could be improved, as a matter of fact there are several scenes in the movie that I think could be improved, and if I posted on a public forum that I didn't like certain scenes, I wouldn't automatically insult anyone who thought different. At first I was willing to chuck it up to his age but, I was a Freshman in college by 16, and several of my friends were too, I might have been more immature than I am now but he's just ridiculous. And I'm

  • -->really not upset, I just find his silliness amusing. And yeah Owlman does kickass.

  • @tinamoul The reason he did was batman had a cracked rib.

  • @tinamoul hhmmm.... i suppose its a hell of alot better than being a stupid adult huh? al those extra years of expirience wasted- how sad....

  • @CrappSlayer Hahaha, at the rate you are going that's your destiny. How sad.

  • @tinamoul if your going to try to make a comeback at least try not to use my own- be original- and try to provide an ounce of evidence to your claims - might make your insults a little more effective

  • @CrappSlayer Okay, hahaah, you are sad.

  • @NinjaxPrime i dont need any1 to yield to my logic- which sounds wierd as hell btw, u have yur opinion- that the fight is great and couldnt be better- i believe it could use improvement- but i dont need to prove anything to you.

  • I don't know why, but I love it when Owlman says, "It doesn't matter" and smiles when he dies.

  • Batman sounds so retarded in this movie.

  • fuk batman.period.

  • Batman had already deduced how to take down Owlman the moment he realised he was insane I think, the same with the Joker.

  • Fridge Brilliance: The entire fight was just Batman manipulating Owlman to get his dimensional oscillator and then get him close enough to the bomb to send them both away. Notice at 5:31, Owlman's oscillator is already missing. That's why he doesn't seem to put up much of a fight. He's lulling his opponent into a false sense of superiority. Bat-strategy for the win!

  • @NinjaxPrime Please Batman got his ass kicked

  • @tinamoul w/e. are you trying to tell me it would have been a good idea to take the artificially enhanced version of himself head-on? i think not. it was strategy the entire time.

  • @NinjaxPrime No I am saying it has never been said that Batman is the ultimate strategist or tactician, detective yes, but not strategist. Batman doesn't trust other people to get the job done, like Owl man said he could have sent Superman, and he fell victim to that. He's strategy was made clear at the start of the fight he intended to gas him and then take him out, what he did was a last ditch effort, made obvious by the fact that Owl man could have stopped the device if he wanted to.Just --->

  • that Owl man was crazy and wanted to end it all.

  • @tinamoul

i respectfully disagree. going toe-to-toe with league-level threats and fighting beside the likes of superman without powers of any kind while also devising ways to neutralize every member of the justice league in your spare time probably requires more strategy than is immediately obvious. unless you prefer the "charles atlas superpower" interpretation of batman, which is equally valid in its way.

  • @NinjaxPrime It depends on what you mean by league level threats, we have the Lex Luthors with the mind and means, or maybe Deathstroke, with the mind and slightly physically enhanced, these are the people Batman comes up against, Then we have the Bizzaros or doomsdays morons with pure brute strength who are just so powerful that Strategy doesn't matter. Off course he has the means to neutralize JL members, they are not exactly discreet about their weaknesses amongst each other. The whole -->

  • -->of comparing Owl Man to Batman was to show just how dangerous Batman could be if he went completely dark. But it also shows that when you have something to fight for it gives you determination. Batman won because he had somethinghe was fighting for. Owl Man on the other hand was merely going through the motions, evidenced by he's final statement. Other than that he outclassed Batman in every way, because he had no boundaries.

  • @tinamoul

    fair enough.

  • @NinjaxPrime nah your giving him too much credit, thats just an editor foul, at 4:37 he doesnt have it and thats before batman had even touched him

  • @MrTickTickB00Mify >.> Whatever. I choose to believe my version. Just like I choose to believe that the Teen Titans show takes place in the "The Batman" show universe, rather than in Bruce Timm's DCAU or it's own separate universe. so xP lol

  • @MrTickTickB00Mify I also choose to believe that some of the new DC animated movies take place in the same continuity. Which makes me ask...WHY COULDN'T THESE BE LIVE ACTION? The DC animated movies are awesome! If they had been live action they would easily have been competition for the marvel movies. I mean Batman is my favorite superhero ever, but I'd like to see some variety. Green Lantern is in production yes, but it doesnt look like we'll ever get the Justice League movie we want. >.<

  • Well.. got a newfound respect for Owlman... at least this version of him. His nihilism reminds me so much of Dr. Manhattan.

  • @Lestat220289 Whats the story behind Owlman? He seems interesting.

  • "But when it looked back at us"

    *puts on sunglasses*

    "you blinked"

    YEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAHHH

  • you BLINKED

    -epic line

  • A lethal Batman can only be stopped by a good Batman, he's the only one who could have taken him(self).

  • Batman gives his Opponents over-confidence.

    "He's still just a man."

    "No he isn't. He's F???ing BATMAN!"

  • It was probably deliberate that the one "super hero" with no super powers was the one to save the universes...

    Just an observation..

  • owlman owns!

  • I've had enough of you nerds and you sucking Batman's dick!

  • Batman always gets the job done !!!

  • @loggers21

But he was still no match for Owlman

  • @pepelepew2006 yeah but Batman still outsmarted Owlman

  • @loggers21 hell yeah batman gets the job done!!!!!

  • @temari105 yep even with a broken rib

  • None of these comments really matter...

  • Batman allways wins!

  • This the best fight in the movie , because Owlman is so much like Batman .

  • owlman - james woods FTW!

  • Does it really matter? There are alternate versions of me that you might find quite charming!

    LOVE OWLMAN

  • 7:43-7:46

    BADfuckingASS

  • the voice of owlman sounds familiar, from the JLU. and batman sounds like an x men character likle magneto or something.

  • First playing Hades and now Owlman, I think woods got a better career as a voice actor than a live action actor.

  • There is a difference between you and me. We both looked into the abyss...but when it looked back at us...you blinked.

One of the greatest quotes ever!

  • Wait if that is Earth Prime then where the hell is Superboy prime?

  • omg so sad how johnny just accepts his fate...at least hes a good sport :))

  • james woods voiced a terrific owlman

  • last post i swear. it seems in this film owlman is to batman what doomsday was to superman in superman/doomsday.

  • well its funny, the same guy that plays The Flash in the Justice League cartoon also plays Luthor in Smallville.

  • I think the voice of Flash was the same as Deadpool from Hulk Vs Wolverine.

  • tical2399 Wrong, wrong, WRONG. No knocks against Conroy, but Baldwin is awesome as Batman, here. There's more than one way to do Batman's voice right. What I like about Baldwin, is that he makes Batman sound darker and more badass than ever. "...But when it looked back at us, YOU BLINKED." Perfect coup de grace.

  • @subjectsuperject That line is evidence of a good script writing not good voice acting. To each his own. To me Nobody should do animated Batman voices EVER.

  • Batman should have consulted with Peter Griffin; he knows how to take care of James Woods

"ooh piece of candy... ohh piece of candy"

  • @nathanjcole So true

  • This is the prime universe? Oh shit wheres Superboy Prime?

  • for this part why didnt they send superman because superman could kill owlman in one punch easy

  • @mrjesuscomin did you forget that Superwoman couldn't handle batman that easily? Plus Superman doesn't kill so Owlman would just jump again and again to outdo superman until the bomb was close to letting off.

Owlman however sees batman as equal rather than someone he has to trick so he decided to go one round of one on one with him instead of jumping worlds and coming back just as the bomb went.

  • @BrokenFWD well superman can defeat superwoman and if all excistence was on the line i think superman would gut it up and kill owlman.

  • @BrokenFWD amd also if owlman transported to other worlds superman would walk up and shut down the bomb

  • @mrjesuscomin except while not explored here Owlman can still beat superman as if he's that much like Batman and did actually plan this far ahead he'd know how to deal with Ultraman and thus could fight superman with kriptonite or something.

if he didn't have a way to do so Ultraman would've killed him instead of spliting the land with him and would've volunteered to go in after him for double crossing him. he does neigher meaning Owlman can fight any of them off.

  • @BrokenFWD alright you made your point good debate

  • since decisions are made in two "one where we made the decision and one where we didnt" wouldnt a parrarell owl man have succeded in blowing up earth prime

  • @mcsahdev Since its based on decision, this Owl Man decided to blow up earth prime, in which he didn't succeed, but in another world, he would have decided not to make that decision

  • @mcsahdev U jus f*cked my head up wit dat LOL. I thought the same but if it worked then they wuld have got wiped out...I think????

  • @mcsahdev It would most likely be an alternate Earth prime, mainly meaning it would only be destroying an alternate Reality, so it wouldnt matter, lol im just guessing with this but i think its right
