Horde DK: Orc warlock ghosts possessing the bodies of dead human paladins. Teron Gorefiend was the first.

Scourge DK: Fallen hero, not necessarily dead, who serves the Lich King. Arthas was the first.

Dk is op, and anyone playing a dk, thinking he's skilled. Even on 2300 rating. Have major braindamage. The Feral druid was Realy OP, the death kinght could beat a feral making it simply absurd. But then again, its a pve game. Blizz simply can't give a shit about pvp. so inbalanced it is. Thats in terms of 2v2 ofc.

Personally, i would prefer to have Necromancers,

Kel'Thuzad should personally train them.

And they would join the alliance and horde as undercover agents.

They are different to warlocks and mages, they use shadow and frost damage and they use undead minions to aid them, 2 of them or more.

Most of us spent time from 1-80 while dk's are a 55 op right off the bat class. most of us need to use skill with our class, the dk is anti everything and skilless. It's extremely overpowered and the worst players can succeed with it. Thats why many people like it is cause it's such an easy and over powered class.

@TheJonkaa The Draenei came to Azeroth before Wrath, so some of them died, a lot of them powerful warriors and paladins while helping the either the Alliance or the Argent Dawn fight the Scourge. Then they were raised as a Death Knight by Arthas.

Arthas is the first DK of the Scourge, not the first DK like spellcasting DKs. I don't blame the people that get these kind of things mixed up. I blame drugs. Because drugs hurt people. That was the main reason I wasn't ever playing death knights, was the idea of putting up with the "more powerful" issue. Everyone thought DK was intentionally made to be better because it's a hero class. I stuck with vanilla classes and protested lol.

It is easier to see the difference when you compare the WC2 and WC3 incarnations, since the DKs from WotLK works more like a combination of the two.
