The today's music by the Vietnamese from abroad has somewhat has some Chinese flavor in it like flat and no taste, It sucks so bad that the younger generations of Vietnamese tend to walk away from it in disgust and I don't blame them.

this kind of music was either made by "hai ngoai" people - who actually don't live in Vietnam (I'm guessing they live in US since I see something like Thuy Nga there), or the Viets who followed the US side during the war. We were too poor to have any special effects this long time ago, and we were busy rebuilding our country after the war, no time to dance around in this silly music. To sum up, this was not Vietnamese music to begin with.

The last time I checked, it still torn apart and barely going thanks to Viet Kieu's mercy ..Silly music it is! the song was written and became very popular in Viet Nam (not oversea)...you can tell by the "silly" outfit worn by the dancers..The way these galls danced resembles the group dancing that is very popular in communist countries like china and north korea. the singers by the way, are living in the U.S.
