@Snotnarok yes i know checkout baed (bad ass emulator discs) for original xbox (although it needs to be modded to play) it was just to point out that sega could have put so much more on the dvd and blu-ray versions of this instead of the same tiny selection we see each time. I think Sega needs to get back in touch with the gamers who played their games the first time around and give them what they want or get back to making consoles i know i would buy a new sega machine lol

Ahh this brings back the good ol days, 2 things though. First being why aren't there more games on there, they did that on purpose so they can bring out a 2nd one and therefore they make more money out of it. Second thing is i find it frustrating when u try to do the special move on golden axe, sometimes when i press the 2 buttons at the same time they jump and use their weapon instead of doing their special move, wtf! Has anyone else had this problem?

I know, I didn't think of it the time when I typed it out. 1 other way could be for them other companies to release them on the ps3 and xbox online stores. They did that with Earthworm Jim for example which I bought. So we'll have to wait and see if they ever do that with the other games 1 time or another.

I just bought this and was not that impressed. Yes the graphics/sound etc were basically the same but there were subtle differences between the conversions and originals that ultimately affected the gameplay. I suspect lots of people bought this to dabble: to play a few levels here and there...I bought this to mutilate and kill some retro games, but the gameplay was just lacking.

No matter what anyone tells you, this is NOT just like the real thing.

This all has to do with copyrights and licensing issues. if it costs alot to obtain a license for a certain game, chances are sega will just unaccept the deal and instead will not include it. also for some of our favorites, the makers of a certain game actually won't even allow sega to license a game at all. i was hoping for the genesis versions of SF II, SF II CE, SSF II, MK 1, 2, & 3, TMNT Tournament Fighters, Aladdin, Earthworm Jim, etc. all missing thanks to copyrights and licensing issues.

It's a good idea that theres another collection. People can't always get certain games right away, or maybe they just want another version. But even though I like this stuff, the guys at sega don't know when to quit.
