OMG--I have not seen Miss Switch in years!!! They used to air this and Secret World of Og religiously on Weekend Special throughout the '80's. I so wish you would've kept going, commercials and all. Thanks for the blast from the past.
@MrBlazerman1972 Oh yeah, Jonathan CaptainFunpals Herron from 2 N. Skaggs St, Harrisburg, Illinois... And you also broke into an abandoned house on Possum Flat Road in Galatia, IL on March 24, 2011 and stole about $500 of copper. You lied and said you had the government's permission to go in and take the copper. Did you HONESTLY believe you were going to get away with everything you've done, Jonathan Herron?
Wow, memories out the yin-yang here. I remember these. I also remember when the Monster cereals weren't a SEASONAL THING. Who ever heard of SEASONAL CEREAL?
@bretthardin I have it for sale of ioffer.com if you are interested....or you can email me at guitarphil04@aol.com and we can arrange it through paypal if you wanna do it that way. Quality is excellent taken from original 16mm master tape.
As much as I love the cartoons of my youth I have to disagree with all the haters on here. There are incredibly smart and funny cartoons that are on now for kids that adults also love. So while I can understand the nostalgia for the Saturday mornings of yore, I think we also have to give newer cartoons their due as well. Besides, some of the stuff we watched was pure garbage - only we were kids then so we didn't see it that way. Uh, She-Ra anyone?
Awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww The Trouble with Ms. Switch...maaan i've been looking awl over for it. Thanx for posting this it brought back some good memories ( for a brief moment) lol
Awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww The Trouble with Ms. Switch...maaan i've been looking awl over for it. Thanx for posting this it brought back some good memories ( for a brief moment) lol
Great video, but does anyone else LOL when they see the Crest commercial followed by the sugar-filled cereal and cookies ads? That marketing is ingenious. They should run a MADD ad then do a commercial for Budweiser.
...snif snif..im a 39 yr old man, a im teary eyed!! this clip took me back to the happy days in life, in the world. Back then you were excited as soon as you woke up on saturday morning. Some cereal, some cartoons, and then go outside and round up the neighborhood friends. Damn! kids these days will never have that feeling

Ahhhh the simpler days. Why do these companies always have to over saturate everything. It was always a treat to catch cartoon in prime time hour or waiting for the weekend for these shows made it that much special.
WOW!!!! This takes me back to the good old days!! This is when you wait all week for Saturday morning! In front of the tv armed with a bowl of cereal. Not with a gun as so many kids are doing nowadays!!! This was a great time to be a kid! It's sad to see kids now that really miss out on the FUN of being a kid!!!!
Fond memories of a great generation! I feel bad for the kids today. At least when we were kids 3 or 4 channels kept us occupied on Saturday mornings. And our cartoons were way better that the crappy cartoons of today! And at least back in our day at 10 or 11 am the TV went off and we went outside and used our imaginations and were actually active. Kids today, don't even know how to go outside and do something with all the video games and trash they call children's TV that is on today! JMO!
seeing all of these commercials brings me back. waking up early, having breakfast in bed. wow. you just couldn't wait for Saturdays to come! i also feel sorry for today's kids. they'll never know how it felt to have 3 networks pouring out all these cartoons.today, there are other channels and stuff. but it's not the same feeling. the 1980's and the 90's were truly the end for golden age of saturday morning cartoons.
I miss frankenberry and count chocula commercials. I even miss toothopolis and the cavity creeps. If you eat the count chocula in moderation and brush you can beat the cavity creeps.
Not all of today's commercials are bad. A funny one is a KGB cell phone commercial with sumo wrestlers. It was shown during the Super Bowl (Who Dat!).
@gtyme125 yes TV was way better back then, it sucks today, no creativity or imagination today, just all to make money with commercial breaks every 5 min.
damn, this makes me wanna go get a pop tart and make a big ass glass of chocolate quik milk back when the powder used to have the big grains of sugar in it....that shit was almost gritty at the bottom of the glass if you put too much in, and I ALWAYS put too much in!!!
I remember that clock. And I remember that Chips Ahoy commercial. But what I remember most is the Crest gel and the cavity creeps commercial. Wow, that memory was collecting dust somewhere in my head! Thanks for uploading!
Okay, wait. The girl asks if there are two "e's" in "sixteen," yet it's clearly printed as a number in the headline. I hope someone got fired for that one.
"Raider Of The Lost Ark .....Tonights ABC SUNDAY NIGHT MOVIE will continue in moment"...."WILL RETURN AFTER THESE MESSAGES"Ernie does that for ABC WEEKENDS SPECIALS only.
i don't understand the off comments i see everywhere on youtube...
is the past too simplistic for the politically correct, can't you just get in your heads that those days were lighthearted and didn't care what washington thinks???
we who lived during those years were happy not like today where everyone has a smart mouth and is a spoilt brat.
fantomfriend, c'mon. Not everything is about being "politically correct" and "caring about what Washington thinks." It was just an observation of how silly it is to put a sugar cereal commercial right after Crest. What's that got to do with political correctness? People just toss "PC" around all the time without really knowing what it means--they'll just apply it to anything.
I couldn't agree more. Watching this takes me back in time. I remember getting up Saturday mornings, getting a bowl of cereal and watching this...thanks or posting.
You're not kidding. That was back when Saturday mornings used to MEAN something. A big bowl of cereal and a TV with good reception was all you needed back then. And you had to watch because that was all folks talked about on Monday.
Looking at crap the kids are subjected to now, you almost want to shed a tear for them.
I wish they would release a DVD with Saturday morning cartoons from the 80's WITH commercials and original network promos. Unfortunately that will never happen. :(
Could you post the end credits for this? The ABC Kidtime video release only shows the end credits for The Trouble With Miss Switch at the end of the double feature...
This brings back memories. Thanks for posting this. Now I can remember what it was like when a commercial break happened during my Sat morn programs. :)
Loved those weekend specials...especial the Soup ones...Soup & Me, Soup for President. I was really into Mark Twain. Sure wish someone would put those out on DVD so a 40 something can relive those carefree saturday mornings from way back when.
fuck! this & Phantom Toll Both! simply impossible to find on this damn tube! FUCK
