@markey808 Before high tide is best, but you just never know when the strike may happen. I like low tide coming up. Usually nicer water, safer and less chance of getting splashed. I hate to get wet when I'm fishing.
I was using the Cabelas rod. $150 is an excellent price. I love mine. I use it with a shimano 16k Stella with 100lb Varivas. Good for launching 5-3oz.
were u using the Tiralejo or the cabelas rod in this vid? Also whats the specs on your Tiralejo? Just wondering kuz i can get a MH 10ft Tiralejo for $150.
nice color lure mark, i just hooked up a barracuda today and i hook em from the eye so i tried to pull it out of the water and my spoon lure popped right out and it's gone just like that papio. but i got it's piece of eye still hooked on when it swam away.
@parkkula on the rig I use for 1oz. I have 40lb PowerPro and 40# Seaguar fluorocarbon leader. Go to my forum for more info. m

Fast! slow, fast. Be creative. Consider each cast and retrieve like a brush stroke on a watery canvas.
