Montreal was put under a tornado warning because of the storm at the time.

In Brossard, I remember this storm. No power outages. It started when I was driving. There was some light rain. About 10 minutes later, the rain is heavy and lightning

struck a telephone pole next to my grandma's house and the cable went out with

the Weather Network the only channel still on. The storm ended to begin again in

the evening with a lot of lightning.

Thanks for the comment, my friend, and yes, I, too, am VERY happy to finally see a fair deal of storms rolling through our area!

Indeed, the downdrafts were pretty powerful - they were recorded at about 85 km/h at that brief moment - I think that was responsible for the isolated power outages following this storm.
