I have 4 mori seikis VMC, and they run great!! However I just got a new one in last month & they have put so much safety keys & options on it, it makes it very hard to set-up!!! A few examples, you cant run the spindle with the door open.... how the hell do you use an edge finder!!, You cant change tools with door open, Imagine setting up a job with 20 tools. & the list goes on and on!! If you are considering buying on, you better look into it!
@dave12166 Our maintenane staff all have a door interlock key that you can insert while performing setup and maintenance. They are numbered and controlled with our LO/TO procedure and ONLY maintenance are allowed to use them. When you have a door safety interlock "jumped" out, we post signs, erect yellow plastic chain barriers, inform all the operators in the area and the supervisor verifies all is safe. Then you can do all the things you mentioned.
Dave12166, disconnect the door switches, Every cnc in the world has the door switch rigged. dont tell anyone, they will thank you later.....
