@albert275 I'm impressed that you read all the captions. Yes, I'm not sure if this happens at all MUNs, but at the ones in Vancouver, some committees get woken up at obscene hours to deal with "emergency crises." In this case, it was the discovery that China had sold nukes to NK and that USA had shipped nukes to Pusan in SK. Secretly.
I think I got about 2 hours of sleep that entire weekend.
@demonkitti27 Ha, it's VMUN 2011 time! Do you mind helping a fellow youtube user here by talking about the environment there? I've been to CAHSMUN before, but I heard this is the real deal, chalked full of try-hard private school students.
@albert275 To be honest, it wasn't that much more intense than any other MUN I've attended. I was part of the JCC, which is obviously a bit more intense, but that's because most of the members in the JCC were very try-hard. Furthermore, most of us had some acting experience, which was very useful in acting as our characters. I'm not sure which committee you'll be in, but in VMUN 2010, there were actually a few committees that were slightly slacker committees. Two extremes. So don't be worried.
@albert275 dude, usually at VMUN it's the public-school kids who's "try-hard", or keener. most of the private school kids are just there for mad props, just hella weekend.
and yeah, WHO at VMUN is a joke (also WTO). Didn't the guys try to pass a resolution for dragging a giant iceberg to Saudi Arabia to alleviate a water shortage, or something? (so jokes)
sorry but politics are stupid

Wow, the joint crisis committee is pretty intense. Their committee work expands out into their free time? At 4 in the morning? Please, tell me more.
