Great footage from the "Reunion" era. It's great to most of the originals in there. I've always looked at Dennis Edwards as the 6th original IMO. Richard Street always did a great job while he was in the group, and of course he was their lead singer in the early days when they were Otis Williams and the Distance. It must have been great to see at this time and have David AND Dennis be able to authentically sing their songs they had leads on in the same show. And of course sweet Eddie.

We are still singing their music after 40 years. When Smokey and Co-Author of My Girl wrote that song, did they really know how impressive a song it would be...... Amazing talent at Motown.

This was a reunion performance after David and Eddie had left the group, and Paul had died. David sang Paul's part. Eddie wasn't his usual self. He seemed sad, probably because his best friend Paul wasn't there. But David seemed glad to be back in the group for the reunion. I have always and will always love me some Eddie Kendricks!
I was able to be at a concert of the Temps in Okla a few years ago, and enjoyed it, but certainly was sad that the originals had all been called to rest. All my love to the families of the talented entertainers>>>>seems like yesterday
In the early 80's, the Temptations played regularly at a club called "The Hop", in Houston. My blessing was to live very close. We had the golden opportunity of getting to know these men...They never cared if the house was packed, or not...They gave it their ALL! What an honor to have that opportunity! God bless you, Guys!

Those guys preformed great on this show. David was able to step in for any of the Temptations, I mean look how he stepped in to sing Pauls part. "Otis could not do that" These supposely bad boys did the doggone thing. I saw their performance with Hall and Oates, these supposely substance abuser's did a GREAT JOB!! singing and dancing. It sickens me how Otis pretrayed him self to be this born leader, to bad dead people can not talk. Thank God!! for Hall and Oats caring and respecting them.

@411Listen I grew up in Motown during this era too. My parents were too cool about me listening to "black" music being a white kid, but I couldn't get enough of it. Still don't. I come to youtube all the time to get my daily fillup. It may sound dumb, but when I listen to this music, its like quenching a thirst. I can't say that about todays music. How I wish I could have gone to one of those Motor Town Revues. I can only imagine the electricity that was in the air. Take care.

This era in music was absoutely the best! Musicians could really sing and write real music. Our kids are being cheated out of this today. Just listen to the strings ect. Thank God for letting me be born during this period of pure genious!

Remember when they used to sing songs about love and peace and respecting one another? And they also had cool, groovy rythums with great harmony. Todays music is a direct reflection of our souless,clueless society. Me personally I am only 41 but I refuse to listen to todays inferior substandard music. Not only does the message and the lyrics suck but the music is awful. 95% of all music today be it hip hop or whatever is pure crapola.

@411Listen I grew up in Motown during this era too. My parents were too cool about me listening to "black" music being a white kid, but I couldn't get enough of it. Still don't. I come to youtube all the time to get my daily fillup. It may sound dumb, but when I listen to this music, its like quenching a thirst. I can't say that about todays music. How I wish I could have gone to one of those Motor Town Revues. I can only imagine the electricity that was in the air. Take care.
