Now I don't want to be a stick-in-the-mud. I think the ihouse and 2.0 models are gorgeous, but I noticed that when I went to see some of the Clayton home showroom models there was a warning about formaldehyde posted on a piece of paper placed in one of the model's kitchen sink . This particular model was not the original ihouse model but I was concerned that it might be an issue with the ihouses as well.

No bamboo flooring. Stuff is rated horribly for wear and tear, and cleaning.

@g3n3r1cu53r The Shaw solid bamboo flooring is an option to the standard laminate. Both floors carry a 25yr residential wear warranty. Bamboo has sustainable characteristics that surpass most all other floor products. This is the reason it was chosen as an option to the laminate. Thanks!

@claytonhomes Bamboo is great, but not for everyone. I have two medium-sized dogs. Last year I had bamboo floors installed in my kitchen. Within 3 months there were scratch marks everywhere. I ripped it up and put down oak, which has been terrific so far. I like the idea of bamboo, and it is attractive, but I found its wearability to be terrible in our household.

Because of this new design my prayers have been answered!! The bigger kitchen is wonderful and I didn't like the idea of the doors to the outside in the master bedroom. Also, we have a newborn and when he gets older we don't want to share a bathroom with him OR make him sleep in a room separate from the house! THIS IS THE GREATEST NEWS! Can't wait to tell my Husband... maybe we can have our dream home after all!! <3 <3

This is awesome! We love the i-house but also thought it just wasn't big enough for us. I can't wait to see the finished product - hopefully this will be our next home!
