Christ, there are some assholes out there. Oh so you can play a bit better,or I bet none of you can play at all,but like knocking people who can. Get a life!
@cdaboulhotmail Considering he's doing what it says on the tin i.e triplets. Why the hell would you say he sucks dick and be extremely rude?! Silly person.
If the guy was some cocky asswipe I could understand the bashing. He's just demonstrating something that could help out some beginner drummers at least. When I first started I didn't even know what this would've been. I can do it now of course and blah, blah. As far as Bonham's bass drum, he muffled the batter and resonant side with a felt strip...where the hell did velcro come into play here? I've heard he lined his kick with foil early on but some said that was untrue.
Bonham led with the right hand. You are leading with your left. Also, John Bonham (who is one of my favorite drummers) was hardly responsible for popularizing triplets, as the start of your video says.
Please do not use that language. this was over a year ago, and I have improved. The labels are covered for muffling considering how old this drumset was.
@rolandvicfirth101 dude dont worry bout critisism i remember when i found cool shit to do on drums for first time and its feels great. so just enjoy, triplets are lotta fun and boham popularized em but they been round forever. i love doin em .
dude bonham never muffled his bass drum, i think he muffled maybe a few times and when he did he only used a small piece of velcro on the bottom of the bass drum
to re create the true bonham sound, work on playing them faster, and vary out the patterns that you use, and maby spice it up a bit by using ghost notes on the snare drum etc.
i mean you got the triplets down and all, but try different types of triplet combos instead of Floor Tom Snare Bass Drum and Rack Tom Snare Bass Drum and work on the timing too. for the true bonham sound, you gotta have smooth chops that just flow through out the kit. nice video tho...
No shit Sherlock! Everybody knows that! He sponsored Remo Black Dot heads in the 70's! They were durable and lasted longer than any other shitty heads, including yours, Moron!
Hey Kid! Don't listen to people telling you to change the heads. The longer the heads settle in your toms, the better they sound. Believe me, Charlie Watts once had two heads finally replaced after 20 years!!! Bonham didn't change his drum heads during the 1977 Tour and recorded In Through The Outdoor with the same ones from the tour!! Read Modern drummer 8/81 issue about that! Rock!
Thanks! ANd the thing is, these heads still sound great! coul you please watch some of my other videos and comment with tips? especially the one of the lemon song! thanks!
I agree, but you have to admit that Bonzo did use them so much that when you think of led zeppelin drumming, you most likely think of these triplets, especially in the "Moby Dick" solo and at the end of "Rock and Roll"
hes pretty good i think
