  • he descended to hell to close it and save us...

  • this really good

  • He DID descend into hell on our behalf!!! That is another one of the reasons jesus's death was so significant. He took the sins of the world upon Himself... Then He was no longer perfect and couldn't go to heaven until He'd paid the insane cost in full :) thank you Lord :)

  • @Notrucker - thank you

  • @Notrucker Jesus said "Father, into your hands i commit my spirit."

Jesus said to the robber next to him on the cross "I tell you the truth, today you will be with me in paradise."

As Jesus hung on the cross, he cried out "My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?"

As far as i can see from Scripture, Jesus DID go through the suffering on hell but it seems to occur on the cross, when he became sin and he experienced the separation from His Father and the wrath of God - which is what Hell is.

  • Have you seen the lyrics on the video He put descended into hell he's either made a very bad typo or hes Decieving us!

  • I like it!

  • Perfect!

  • Okay. Great combination!!!

  • with you on this... they did an honorable job and brought back a song that should be heard in the church.

  • Very nice tribute to the late great Rich Mullins. This was one of my favorite songs of his -- beautiful lyrics ( mostly taken from the Nicene Creed) and an awesome demonstration of Rich's talent on the hammered dulcimer. The guy playing in this video did well but no one could ever play that dulcimer the way Rich did. That style and grace he had on it came down right from God. But kudos to Mac and Brandon--they did Rich proud.
