  • arma notevolmente brutta

  • I love how all the people who don't know shit about the gun try to reproduce it claiming its the exact same when it has nothing in common.... Maybe I should start contacting manufactures and try to reproduce REAL weapons of history.

  • Absolutely correct. the 1851 Navy Colt was a 36 cal. The 44 Cal didn't appear until the 1860 Army Colt.

  • At the end of every day, Wild Bill would fire, clean and reload his guns to make absolutely sure that they would fire.

  • @kpadmirer that's a myth

  • real men shoot with one hand....... Bill Hickok would have never carried that ugly piece of crap

  • This is why I fucking hate the strict gun owning laws in the UK...I want one! :P

  • @spongebo13 It's black powder I thought you folks could buy these as long as your not related to Guy Fawks

  • @MrSanteeclaus You can buy it, but for some reason you would need a shotgun license...which is a pain in the ass to get here in the UK

  • @spongebo13 You need a firearms Licence , which is a bigger Pain in the ass to get than a Shotgun certificate ,, the crap thing is you can buy Black powder Revolvers in France without any licence ,, yet we are all ment to be Europeans ,, makes me sick at times ,,

  • no recoil :/ just put the original navy in it -_-

  • NO RECOIL!!

  • uhhhhhhhhhhhh deliciaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa

  • Wild Bill used Colt Navy revolvers...a .36 caliber gun, not a .44. How can it be a faithfully detailed reproduction if it's not a faithfully detailed reproduction?

  • @hogleg details man, unimportant tiny details, but cant you feel the historical value of this pice of modern junk? no? me neither but they say it is there and they never tell bullshit in a commercial.....

  • I was hoping him to say ''Buy one, get one free'' :D

  • Excellent video quality, but how bout some hotter loads :D

  • I'd like to get one of these. But I don't see them on the Sportsman's Guide. Any idea where I can get this? I've got the Army .44, but this one looks really nice!

  • The book "Fired in Anger" give a detailed description of Hickok's Colts. This recreation totally wrong w/finish, caliber, grips etc.

  • You guys got it wrong. very wrong

  • fail... these people are completely ignorant.

  • I dont understand why in same cases (like at 0:50 for example) the gun has not recoil. Is it perhaps loaded only with powder to remove oil from barrel and nipples? (i am not english so i dont understand well the comment)

  • I like the fact that you know the history.

Unfortunately history knowlegde and general education is not the strength for most of the american people. And do not underestimate the number of very young people on the internet. Then you have to combine all three: young, simple minds and almost without any general knowlegde, hehe.

  • I like the fact that everybody assumes the Ol' West was very violent, when it really wasn't. Billy the Kid's total recorded kill count was 4, and the Gunfight at the OK Corral had a body count of 3, which was the most violent year in the history of Tombstone, Arizona. So you had a pretty slim chance of being gunned down in the street by bandits, but cholera and smallpox would get you instead :p

  • @Fertro how do you figure it wasn't violent? Of course it was. The Earps were fighting an entire gang of badass oulaws "the cowboys" um - I forget what the gang was called but they were led by th eclantons and . earps brother was killed and then the earps went aroudn murdering loads of other peoplel. "kids kill count was 4" uh - 4 is A LOT plus there werre loads of other people killed in the Lincoln county war

  • @IkilledassholeJFK LOL the Earps were a gang of outlaws and badasses... and up in Wyoming the Rich Cattle barons called in the Natiional Guard/Pinkertons/ and Tom Horn to help kill settlers and homesteaders and prositutes and anyone they didn't like. That they felt were using too much of the free land they were using...

  • @MrSanteeclaus there is little evidence of the earps being corrupt. there is little to no evidence of them being outlaws - just the opposite. For the most part - they represented the good. so what if the cattle barons hired people to kill rustlers. what of of it? you need to educate yourself on the Earp/Cowboy issue. it is generally known and understood that the outlaw faction represented by the clantons and curly bill were corrupt thieves and murderers

  • The 1851 Navy is the best-handling, most graceful pistol I have ever fired. This likely was the pistol Wild Bill used in 1865, during the sole recorded example of the fast-draw duel-in-the-street. Wild Bill shot the other guy through the heart at 50 yards...

  • No recoil?

  • @corveGT1PL wtch closer :-)

  • shoot it one handed!

  • you can shoot ghosts whit this shit!.

  • i thought that youtube was to share videos, not to post comercials. i hate commercials as much as i hate illinois nazis. goodbye.

  • when i heard kipkays voice i thought he was going to make something out of it LOL, thumbs up if you did to :)

  • @DaGluestickofdoom I'm confused here... Do you not know what black powder is, or are confused about only loading it with 2 grains (which really is a very insignificant amount compared to most loads)?

Black powder is 'gunpowder'. Just the type of gunpowder most common in the 1800s. Most black powder revolvers require that you load powder and a lead ball into the chambers, and place a percussion cap that the hammer strikes to spark the powder.

  • @halo9449 Sorry, that as ma brother...

  • No recoil?? Put some lead in it. And NEVER buy a brass framed revolver. It will shoot loose in no time.

  • I know someone who has one of these. Still fire-able, all original. Gun porn for thought. :)

  • Hicock's Colts were were Richard Mason conversions that fired a .38 caliber cartridge. He used many different guns in different calibers, but upgraded to the .38 before going to Deadwood.

  • my cousin is a direct descendant from wild bill

  • @htkendall No way Jose, Wild Bill was gay.

  • @madisonelectronic wild bill was a bad ass

  • @htkendall Fags with a gun shoot you just as dead! hahahaha

  • @madisonelectronic fags with guns shoot you just as dead??

  • mmmmmmm no i think i'll stick with my colt peacemaker

  • i have the cabelas version.. its 36 cal

  • @AILDdrums Stick with Cabelas if you want your stuff to last more then a week :-)

  • @Xxoo0o0o0ooxX

Yeahhh im sure it wont last very long, but oh well

  • @AILDdrums No no Cabelas has some very nice black powder revolvers that are built to todays firearm standards your pistol will last a life time if takin care of. Parts are also cheap to buy not that I would think you will need them. But you can get a replacement parts kit with all internal moving parts & have everything you need just in case.

  • @Xxoo0o0o0ooxX

Ohhh okay, thats good to know then, thanks.

  • it hasnt a minimal recoil :O

  • @parrukkiero Yea I wonder if it can handle a full load of 777 powder?

  • wild bill... that movie blew

  • @xxwesdogxx He's in history, and real y' idiot. why would you even be watching this if you didnt like western action pistols?

  • When Wild Bill was shot I think he was wearing Colt Navy cartridge conversions , does anyone know any different , Thanks GHR

  • @25ghr From No, they were not Converted Revolvers. In fact there is one little interesting fact about "Wild Bill" that proves this. He was well known for going out and firing his Revolvers every morning to make sure each was freashly reloaded for the day in case any moisture or other problem crept into his guns. He wanted to make sure that they worked every time he pulled the trigger. This is only done with Cap&ball revolvers.

  • love to have seen a draw with these in the day.must have been very hard to hold steady..

  • @powertrust71 Navy Revolvers were famous for their balance. In fact, compared to todays short semi-autos, the longer barrel length distributes the weight farther out wich makes it easier to hold the weapon steady due to some resistance. Even in rifles today, a slightly barrel heavy rifle is known to be better balancing and more controllable for offhand shooting than a paper thin barrel with no weight.

  • @TheFoundersWereRight thanks champ for the info...

  • @powertrust71 Quite Welcome.

  • Nothing Navy 1851 was made in Cal:44 and the big 44 Zylinder from the Army 1860...this modern Fantasy Colts...the Original Hickock Pair was Nickelplated engraved and have Ivoryn Grips with the halfplastic Shild&Eagle Motiv ...not with Cards

  • @CCCRanger Half plastic?

  • No one knows what cards Wild Bill had when he was shot.. it was brought in the newspapers several days after his murder, and by sources that werent present at the killing.

  • @TrustyJam I've got three conflicting sources, one being the Gunfighter's Encyclopedia which says Aces and 8's. Then there's the World War 2 channel (ambiguously known as the History Channel) that said the game was Hold'em poker (which might be accurate since 5 card draw wasn't played much until after World War 1) and said he had Ace of Spades and King of Hearts and the Encyclopedia of Firearms suggest Ace of Hearts and a 9 of Clubs. Either way, all sources said that they were all winning hands.

  • @Nurple17 If I remember right from my own research it was 5 card stud he was playing. And the Hand in question was Aces and Eights. That is why it is called a dead man's hand today for that reason. Here is an interesting bit of info though. When Hiccock went in, he always sat facing the door. That day a young man was in his seat and having a winning streak. The players chided him about wanting to have the seats moved, so he sat with his back to the door. Food for thought.

  • Beautiful gun

  • The Springfield Mo. Square/Plaza 200 yards straight thru the heart. Really one of the few real fast draw duels in the ole west.

  • 0:10 "Yea, We'll see who's doing the dishes!!"

  • @MrCurlyBill Best, Comment EVER!

  • No recoil???

  • @Theguns491 7 1/2 inch barrel reduces recoil significantly.

  • My Grandpa had the original XD

  • pistols are for one handed shooting f******k!

  • One reason Wild Bill didn't carry a 44 navy is because COLT NEVER MADE THE NAVY IN 44 !!

  • @ekajeht actually a later more streamline model was made in .44.

  • @soixe1997 The streamlined model was made in 1860 and was known as the 1860 Army with the grip 1/4" longer than the Navy grip frame.

In 1861 they made the same streamlined revolver in 36cal. with the Navy grip and it was called the 61navy.

Most revolvers of the Civil War were classed as Army or Navy by their caliber.

44 being Army and 36 being called Navy models.

BTW-It didn't really matter what cal they were,, both services used both calibers.

  • nice ssssooooooooo cccoooll im a fan of the old westerns

  • You lot screaming bullshit

    welcome to advertisement 101

  • Hickock would laugh ar seeing those guys shoot with two hands. That came in to being in the 1960s.

  • this is bullshit

  • lol a replica that can shoot. to me that seems to be a real gun=P well you at least dont need gun licens any more to buy guns hehe

  • they are shooting only caps.....no powder and ball. what are they thinking besides bullshiit

  • @glynamus Never order from these guys every thing comes broke or will break soon. Everything. I have better luck with stuff from the thrift store.

  • What the hell... random western whistle tune starts playing on the TV in the living room. Freak coincidence.

  • @Zeanu "Freak coincidence"

Nope, the ghosts of cowboys past are calling you

    "get the revolver"

    "get the revolver"

  • @razumfrackle Hahah, probably that! It sure made me want to own one of these, though. :D

  • Must be using light loads, my .36 cal has more recoil than that. I use full loads most of the time.

  • @amberb57 Lol true, on this video, it looks like airsoft. :D

  • i love the word tradition heater

  • Hickok carried two Navy Colts in .36 caliber and not in .44 as this ad suggests. This gun is nothing like the Wild Bill originals.

  • @RickOShaye yeah and it wasnt all shiny

  • @RickOShaye actually the idea he carried a 44 is a mixup with a gun he carried in deadwood, there's some eyewitness accounts that toward the end of his life, he switched his brace of colt 36s for a colt richards type 1 army 44 cartridge conversion. but yeah, the ad is very misleading on that.

  • does anyone know how a revolver works? I need to know how the trigger and hammer and cylinder work. a site maybe?

  • what price is on that gun

  • The .36 Cal 1851 Navy was also carried by Maj. Gen G.A. Custer. Old Wild Bill put many a man down with it. It had about the same power as today's .380 auto. That's enough to get the job done. Hell, try a .22LR to the head or heart. You'll be dead as "fried chicken."

  • If only it was made in .36 caliber...

  • すばらしい!

  • Would look so much better in .36 and totally silver plated...

  • I agree. I too would prefer to have the accurate caliber, but some people really believe that "bigger is better" and prefer the larger load. Never mind that Wild Bill made his famous kills with the "underpowered" .36 cal.

It's all about sales. If it weren't for CAS and History buffs, I don't think we would even see the .36 on the market.

The black rammer is also a little strange looking...

  • There's a good business website I know that can silver plate your 1851 Navy. It's called Run-N-Iron. Another thing, if you don't have an 1851 Navy, I would strongly recommend the London Navy by Uberti.

  • @Remington1875

Yep, the Uberti replicas are wonderful, and my personal favorite replicas.

Pietta is good for the price though.

  • the 1851 colt was in 36. caliber

    only

  • Pretty gun BUT colt navy revolvers are supposed to be .36 caliber, I don't know what the deal is with making them in .44.
