  • i had the home alone 2 version of this

  • Press 7 for the part that made me come to this video

  • Omg I remembered I begged my mom for one of these I even had the little spinoff toys

  • I think it was the way it looked and the way it was held. They took a tape recorder and made it cool. I'd like to see a new version in digital with the same design. It would rule!

  • "HEY KIDS WE GOT A TAPE RECORDER AND PUT A FUCKING HANDLE ON IT, ENJOY"

    Seriously though, this thing ruled.

  • The girl wasn't even talking, while she was playing with the dog o_O!!!

  • OMG I remember this! I used to have the pink one. >:3

  • i still got mine, and my sis still has her pink one... the simple fun this thing provided, slow your voice or record in slow and on normal it made your voice high

  • me and my sister had one oh the good ol days

  • where do you get these from?

  • i had one. i used to do alot of stupid things with it.

  • MY SIS HAD THE PINK ONE LOL

  • The two on the sofa separate so fast when they hear the "Hi kids we're home early" because they're actually brother and sister...

  • That thing was so cool. I could've sworn when I was a third grader, some kid in my class had one of those :)

  • I almost forgot that I had one of these.

  • thumbs up if you first saw this on home alone 2 lost in new york

  • @Luffymon88

    good times

  • i remember baging my parents to buy me this after i saw it on home alone 2

  • lol My little brother had one of those and he used to do the bit in the film where Kevin gets a hotel room "Credit card? You got it!"

  • So rad man, I had one of these from my 9th Birthday. haha. I used it to try and convince my cousins their parents were ready to pick them up. I even mimicked the "Hi Kids, We're Home Early line one time too. Haha."

  • this thing really sucked i was so pissed about how bad it was i was expecting it to work like on home alone lol

  • Mine lasted a week after Christmas when my brother ran away with it and it broke the tape. I never got a replacement and never got it fixed, I was four or five.

  • I remember this, not as useful as the commercial lays it out to be.

  • I still have mine but then they came out with a talk girl which was kind of stupid

  • that was the coolest thing ever :D

  • i used to have one of those when i was little!! I used to record EVERYTHING!!

I don't think i still have it... lol!!

  • I wanted one of these so bad when i was a kid. I know i would of had loads of fun!!!

  • I used to call my friend's house at 3:00 AM and play the slo-mo recordings of me, acting as a psychopath who claimed to have broken into his house, telling him I was hiding in his basement. Can't do it nowadays, with caller ID and possible jail time. Oh, to be 13 again.

  • Yeah this is the only memory I have of seeing a kid in a movie playing with something that I could actually ask my mom to buy me, haha. We all wanted to be badass like Macaulay Culkin.

  • OMG I remember watching this commercial like it was yesterday, i wanted one sooo bad even though i wouldn't have had anybody to blackmail. The simple times =/

  • this is awesome back in the early 90's there was a shit load of toy commercials

  • I had the talkboy pen! That was pretty cool.

  • I seriously forgot this existed. The used to be on all the time! I wanted one back then.

  • I remember this commercial. I had one of these but took it apart, the microphone jacked up on me. Dont ask if I put it back together lol

  • That's what their Dad sounds like? Wow.

  • @Cinemastique Now I know what Pedobear sounnds like!

  • Just Iike Home Alone 2

  • i still have mine still works i think i also have the talkboy watch too wonder if they'll be worth anything

  • Speed Control? It just makes you sound like a child molester.

  • i always wanted one

  • @ESMININA7 me too

  • i have this. Gotta find it in my attic with all the cool stuff lol.

  • Why was her date wearing a tie?

  • I Still have mine:)

  • wish i had this again, luved it as a kid

  • Is that the strange thing from Home Alone 2?!?!?!?!!??!?!?!?!

I WANT ONE NOW!!!!! gotta go to Ebay

  • I had this

  • I still have one. Life's good.

  • LOL, I love how they try to sell this by indicating how annoying you can be with it.

  • i had 2 of these but I lost them. I want my talkboy back. I found the guts of one in an old backpack from high school but I tossed it b/c it didnt work. i kept the pack and a few things that was in it.

  • I never got 1. I always got dolls, clothes and games.

  • my brother Chris had one when he was young

  • i had the talk boy loved it :P still have it i might fix it up cause it got a little messed. nothin like fixin the cool toys. i need a life...

  • Oh my God, you still got it! You lucky bastard, I'd love to play with that thing.

  • That's what she said....

  • I have that gizmo already but it could be of use to what I had in mind.

  • Hi, kids! We're home early!

  • I wonder why the boyfriend is wearing a tie

  • I've managed to misplace my Talkboy, my Yakbak, my Yakbakwards, my Buzz Lightyear, my Turboman doll, and my crash test dummies set since I was young. D: WTF WHERE DID IT ALL GO!?!?!? The Crash Test Dummies was AMAZING. The little car's doors and wheels popped off, the hood cracked open, the bumpers flew off, the wheel came off and an airbag was underneath, and the dummies exploded. XD So inventive and gruesome at the same time. But oh so fun to see a reaction from crashing your toy into a wall..

  • this was a toy i wished i had, but all i got was a key chain version of the talk girl...it was allright, but i always wanted the original.

  • wow... i remember after a while it didn't work. by the way.. it just a freakin' tape recoder!

  • Oh god... this thing was so friggin' expensive, and it was the only thing any kid wanted after Home Alone came out. Now that I've seen it again, it looks like the least fun "toy" I've seen in a while.

    "hhhiii khidsss, we're hhhome errrrly."

  • I loved this toy, but i had the Talk Girl!!

  • man i have wanted one of these things ever since i saw home alone lost in new york

  • omgg i remember this commercial!! and this is what kevin from home alone 2 used

  • Instead of the "slow" playback option, they should've just called it "pedophile voice".

  • Man I remember this toy I used to record some stupid stuff on there ha ha but it was good memories I wonder if someone still has one I would

  • that guys such a pussy

  • haha. This was one of my favorite toys as a kid. I remember it worked good too. I had a lot of fun with it. I wish I still had it.

  • lol thats funny!

  • so much fucking win.

  • That probably works better than the YakBack because the tape would have more bandwidth.

  • rofl pause at 0:14 and look at the guys face....

  • lols her mouth isn't even moving when she says "hey stop drooling on me"

  • Cock blocking lil bastard!

  • he wants his sister to himself.

  • lol who's Dad talks like that?

  • maybe if his dad had a stoke or he's molasses man

  • @escapedcops08

    LOOOOOOOOL

  • creepy voice: "Hi Kids...we're home earlyyy" sounds so contrived, i remember seeing this commercial many a time, and another poster mentioning a Yak Bak i think I had one of those things but forgot what its purpose was

  • I had one of these. I also had a Yak Bak (sp?)

  • yak bakwards

you talk and replay audio backwards

  • "Hi kids we're home early". That sounds almost like Old Man Herbert from Family Guy in slow motion.

  • Oh how I wanted one of these, but my parents didn't get it when we saw it way back in toys r us :-(

  • Home Alone 1. I was so close to getting that thing, but I was short 2 stinking dollars then I never found it again. grrrr.

  • i thought the yak! backs were way better =)

  • just found one it has some weird crap on it and some stuff from the home alone movie

  • god i wanted one of these sooo badly did this thing even exist before the movie?

  • lol if i remember right it was a non working prop and they made it into a toy AFTER the movie due to the popularity. I used to blast ACDC out of my talkboy when I was like 8, man I was cool...

  • (low deep voice) Hi, Im Peter Mcallister, the father, id like a hotel room please with an extra large bed, a TV, and one of those little refrigerators you have to open with a key, Credit card you got it.

one of my favorite lines in this movie. I wish I still have my talkboy I had 2 of them one was taken apart and the other one went missing.

  • wtf y would the parents care if he says hi kids im home early?

  • Those weren't his parents, it was his sister and her boyfriend. She looks like 14, she's hardly gonna be his mother.

  • "Hi kids we're home early"...if my dad sounded like that when he came in i'd think he was on drugs.

  • LOL!!

  • haha lmao

  • HI...IM PETER MCALLISTER

  • Holy crap,I think there was a Talkboy laying around somewhere.I found the tape,I just don't know where the rest went off to.

  • I got a mini talk girl, you could record 15 seconds.

Meanwhile my brother and sister got their respective huge ones.

  • I love how the Talk Girl was the same thing, just pink.

  • "Credit card? You got it!"

  • Nintendo 64 and Talkboy were my favorite parts of childhood.

  • wow! i cant believe i remembered the lines....!lol wat a throwbak!

  • I got one for Christmas '92. My cousin got a pink Talkgirl.

I don't know what happened to it. I think I may have one of the old Talkboy cassette tapes, but I'm not sure.

  • around 0:15 look at the boyfriend he's just staring at the camera like a turtle

  • Oh wow, I remember this.....

I remember wanting one, too XD

  • Home Alone 2

  • That's right.

  • I always wanted one of these, now that i'm an adult I should buy one.

  • now with cockblocking action

  • I never had a talk boy but I has a talkgirl. It was purple.

  • lol I had one of those. Memories XD

  • My brother stole our next door neighbor's talkboy hahahaha.

  • LMAO what a cockblocker XD

  • Bought one back in the day for $19.99. Taped my sister fucking the boyfriend and blackmailed her for $50.

    THANKS TALKBOY!!!

  • I LOL'D!!

  • XD LOL!

  • now i want one...

  • @naireland fucking "the" boyfriend lmao she must've been a hoe

  • @naireland you sir are amazing :)

  • @naireland @Kingnothing8585 - That's not true! He recorded yourself fucking your sister and used to to masturbate when she wasn't home.

  • Man, I miss my talkboy. I got that for christmas back in 1993, and my god, I used it SO MUCH, that I think I broke it. I'd record my parents talking, I'd sing, I used to record the tv and movies, God I loved that thing. I wonder what happened to it, lol.

  • i had one as a kid, i recently found the tape to it, i swear the weirdest shit got recorded it all sounds like an acid trip and fighting.

  • the slow one DOES infact sound like an overweight child mollester! Man I want one of these, but I really like those voice changers you can use ova da fone.

  • I remember having that thing

Yeah, I use to fuck around with it by recording something on TV with the Switch on the slow setting, and when I played it on the normal speed, it made the audio sound fast

  • wasn't there a mini version,

  • The slow thing sounds like a fat childmolester doesnt it?

  • I got one! lol I hated how the "girl color" one was purple and pink. Yes, every girl loves the barbie colors. T_T

"Hi kids we're home early." lol This thing rocked!

  • he just wanted a piece of ass.

  • Comment removed

  • Okay Marsha.

  • haha I remember this one! the "parents" voice annoyed me when I was 4 just as much as it does now

  • I remember that. I wanted one so bad..Never got it. :(

  • same here :/

  • When I was a kid, I never fully understood where "Hey! Stop drooling on me!" came from because it didn't look (nor sound) like the girl was saying it.

  • I still have mine and it isn't going anywhere near me!

  • I got some crappy nameless tape recorder instead of that...wanted that one so bad.

  • Because everyone sounds exactly like their parents when their voice is slowed down.

  • Total cock block.

  • LOL, that was a funny ad!

  • i used to have one

  • Haha... I forgot all about this commercial! I used to have some variation on the talkboy... It was like a mini one or something (I haven't got a clue what happened to it... It's LONG gone, unfortunately)

These kinds of toys (digital recorders, tape players, voice changers, etc.) have always been my favorite.

  • A a kid I thought infinite uses for this thing, though when I think of it now 98% of them would have not work or were just stupid.

  • I like how retarded the slow one sounds!

  • how stupid are those kids that they cant here that little turd recording himself 10 feet from them, then sneaking up and clicking the loud ass play button next to their ears... lol

  • Nope, just says on and off. I think you have to depress rewind or fast foward whille its playing.

  • I just bought one! but i cant find the speed control, it only has on/off

  • thats fucked up that guys just tryin to get his nut

  • ahhahaha.

    that's like home alone movie.

  • I so remember the Talkboy from Home Alone 2 :)

  • What do you know about recording in 'slow' so its fast at regular speed...

  • Retro.

  • luved this i had the pink one

  • OMG this commercial is bringing back so many memories! i remember wanting a Talkgirl so bad cuz Kevin in Home Alone 2 looked so cool with his Talkboy. That was a genius little gadget they created in the movie.

  • ROTFLMAO!!! I remember this exact commercial. I had a Talkboy. I was just reminded of it because I'm watching Home Alone 2.

  • FUCK!

  • Her boyfriend was wearing a tie. What a tool.

  • I remember that clip XD.I had one of those,I cant seem to find it sadly.I think maby it wore out X).I remember the talkgirl too,it was such an ugly pink.

  • "Hi kids, we're home early." LOLOLOLOLOLOL

  • "high tech" fun ....lol

  • Because its typical to not acknowledge your dad when he comes home from his tracheotomy.

  • OMG I had one. So did my brother. I remember the casette it came with was like, 15 min. long when the average one was like, 2 hours. LOL

  • batteries not included!

    xD gr8 one!

  • That kid is a cockblock.

  • i used to have one :D pranked called the neibors with it it was one of the best toys to currupt other people with

  • I must have had three or more of these things, mot of them were gray except for a translucent blue one I had and most of them broke but I have one in working condition still.

  • hi kids where home early

  • LOL

  • holy fuck audio preview what the fuck for

  • I'm inspired to bust mine out and see if it works

  • I still have my talkboy I remember i had so much fun with it before I started doing stuff with videos

  • i have one im holding it right now and it still works

  • My cousin had this, and I had the talkgirl :)

  • haha i totally forgot about the talkgirl till now... it was pink!

  • i had one of those when i was little....good times

  • man i remember having this as a kid, who knew having a slo mo button did so much?

  • I used to have a Yak Bak but now I want a talk boy all of a sudden :)

  • Ah yes, Talk Boy.... After Home Alone 2 you couldn't get one of these to save your life, and they were WAY overpriced. A couple years later they came out with the "Yak Back" which was basically the same thing, but with reverse play. Got one of those!

  • lol, i had a yak bak too! i had TOO MUCH fun with that little thing, i mostly used it to mess with my parents, or amuse myself when i was bored.

  • lol HEEYY stop drooling on me! (door closes) Hi kids we're home early, man i miss this thing i changed the speaker in mine but i lost this thing if i had this thing today id probably play my iPod thru it via cassette adaptor, id make mine rap lol
