All of us that are descendents of sedentary farmers take for granted the skills and simply our social position we have in society that allow us to go to school and get jobs. The way we reduce crime is by helping people get out of poverty through socialized programs, not by attatching some moral disease to people who started out with less than us.

I was born in Romania, and I met all kinds of Gypsys. I'm Hungarian by nationality, but I always felt that a part of me may be Gypsy, whenever I hear their music, or see how united they are I hoped to be part of that. And the little girl who is singing, Alyona Buzylyova was adorable. Apparently she is a well known singer.
However, I was only able to find one video of her singing more recently as an adult and was shocked to see how much she has changed.

Before I said that Eastern European society is still racist against them. So is France. So is England. Germany, Italy, Czechs and Slovaks, Spain too. The deportations from France have been called a disgrace by the EU Commission. Gypsies have always been and still are, very sadly, stereotyped and mocked, which really is a shame I think.

@roman1akid ....gypsies have earned all the violence and prejudice they've received...gypsy culture is based on thievery and the view that normal society exists as prey for criminal activity...gypsy children don't receive any normal education even though it's free, and cannot enter normal society or earn a normal livelihood...i hope the french approach to gypsies, arabs and africans becomes the norm

@theriribobo ..what i find annoying are the attempts to rehabilitate gypsies to an aggrieved minority group, whereas they are in reality a group of petty thieves...in the US, gypsies have a crime rate 300% higher than the national average..there are small towns populated by traveller con men (murphy village s.c.)..there are several dozen notorious gypsy criminal clans..the costellos, the ephrams etc...there may be some honest gypsies, but they condone the rest...ever hear of a gypsy testifying?
