Hayao Miyazaki looks like a Japanese Colonel Sanders. (btw... nice review, though due to the technology they have in the series, I personally think it takes place in the early 1910's). T'is my favourite show since I was a kid!

@Themizuwolf LOL! Well he does! :D Can you show me your research please? I'm actually rather obsessed with this show. I'm also a Victorianist/Edwardianist and the London/Paris airmail didn't take off until Sept 11, 1911. :) They also didn't have as much technology in 1898 as they do in this series. I would love to see your research if you wouldn't mind sharing, though! :D Maybe I missed something.

@Themizuwolf Yeah, I know the Wikipedia entry. Read it. It's still not historically accurate if it takes place in the late 1800s. LOL Maybe it's not supposed to be accurate, though. I've been to all the SH sites, too. :)

I have watching two episodes in English but some episodes in Japanese and Italian, it's too bad for countries in Europe doesnt' release this episodes on DVD.

Sherlock Hound is also familiar among Arabic speaking viewers like myself, I've watched the Arabic dub on Egyptian television around the early 90's, This was actually my true introduction to the Sherlock Holmes mythos that I came to be a fan of. Like the Japanese version and the Italian dub, the Arabic dub also used the Sherlock Holmes name.
