Fed has talent but no class. He's so childish and impolite when he gets his ass kicked (by Rafa usually). He shouldn't make ad for Rolex : Kleenex or Pampers would fit so much better.

@raxfourteen It's not what floats my boat, it's just something to bear in mind. I believe that Federer does respect Nadal (slightly) but the fact is that he is paid millions to promote tennis, especially in the US where interest isn't as high as it could be. Have a great day! :)
I am a Nadal fan all the way, but federer is a class act , respectful and gives credit where credit is due!! He is the greatest of all time hands down!
Arg, I don't get why it matters to you people that one of them has to be better than the other! Far OUT, can't you just accept that they're both fantastic players and great friends, whose rivalry has done the sport of tennis a world of good?
All are records, some by large margins, surpassing the achievements of such greats of the game as Pete Sampras, Bjorn Borg, Rod Laver, John McEnroe. All were achieved during a remarkable run of dominance that began in 2003, building a case for Switzerlands Federer to be selected as The Associated Press Athlete of the Decade
Dont understand me wrong, Federer is also in my mind the GOAT, but you have to consider Sampras had a better competition during his era.
Sampras would never win the French Open (don t matter which competition), but I guess Federer would not have reached 22 straight GS semi finals or 21 finals if he had to play the Sampras.
hologram are you a retard, to win 15 grand slams he beat all of them many times, and before you say nadal's record against federer is 13 - 7, the majority of them were on clay
And yeah, the competition is too tough and he still reaches all 4 slam finals and ends the year as No. 1.
And by the way, this formidable competition is 5, 6 and 7 years younger. And Davydenko wins a tight three set match on his 13th attempt and he suddenly "owns" Federer, or Del Potro who wins a close 5 set and 3 set match. Yeah, pure "ownage"
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
@hologram7777777 Ok, I should stress that with the following bit of investigative questioning my intention is not to offend you, but please answer as honestly as you can. Are you slightly retarded? I think it's best to be clear about this before engaging in any kind of debate about the merit of Roger Federer. Cheers.
Greatness = great skill + humility + not behaving like a sissy
roger = great skill (against lesser opponents) only
.
Roger WAS a good no.1 but NOT a great no.1 ....he's finally facing good competition now and its beating him .
.
My intention is not to offend you either ... but do sissy English fags like you fantasize about federer , when your blowing your chubby Girlfriend's strap-on . .....o no offense you mindless moron : ) cheers
If Federer peaks, he beats them all in straight sets on any surface, no matter how they are peaking around, but he also wins at a bad day, the others dont, this is what makes him the greatest ever, 26?(not sure) slam semis in a row, is what already made him the best of all times, rafa said it, nole said it, delpi said it (sampras, agassi, mcenroe too btw) and davy is still celebrating his first victory after 13 matches!
In which case, Nadal's victories against Federer mean nothing since he has only defeated a "good" player in the final, not a great one.
BTW, many of Sampras' slam final opponents were not slam winners (Pioline, Martin) or just 1 or 2 slam winners (Rafter, Ivanisevic etc)
He also never reached the French Open final and only won one Masters on clay. Guess that means he was not an all-court player and therefore, not a great player.
RF Greatness is academic, but he does have a thorn in his side... Nadal. Losing to Nadal in recent Slam Finals is NOT a habit he can afford to continue. In fact, Nadal could threaten RF Greatness, assuming Nadal can remain injury-free and focussed for the rest of his career. A good 5-7 years more of Nadals career COULD see him win MOST of the SLAMS, preventing RF from more Slams, whilst piling up his own GS tally. 6 at moment, but could all change rapidly, if he keeps improving& is injury-free!
The question of RF's greatness is......academic......15 GS titles including the French in less than a decade.......hard to argue with his record........
rafa beat federer on all surfaces and 3 different grand slams...roger beat rafa just in wimbledon (lost every game in RG and lost the match in the australian open)...im excited to see them play in the us-open one day...might be too early this year because of nadals injury but i really would enjoy to see them play each other in flushing meadows...head to head suggests nadal is better
tennis is not about h2h, please!federer has netagive h2h against Dominik Hrbaty and Murray, none of them has won a grandslam, so if we go with your teory these 2 players are better than federer. INSANE. rafa has also netagive h2h with david nalbandian and james blake. they are better than him yes? damn!~
rafa and roger played against each other in grand slams 8times...the four matches in roland garros rafa won all...and of the other 4 (3wimbledon, 1 austraian open) he won 2...its 6-2 for rafa in their grand slam clashes and even if you deduct the french open games it is even 2-2...roger might be considered the best player ever but he definately cant be considered better than rafa when losing most of his matches against him
I disagree about Nadal being the best on clay ever I still believe Borg has a superior record to Nadal. I definitely feel Nadal is the best clay court player in this generation but he's not better then Borg. Borg has 6 French Open finals and Nadal has 4.
Although I am a big Nadal fan and love the rivalry between Nadal and Federer, Nadal rbought this knee injury upon himself. He played way too much tennis and put too much strain on his body. I will be very sad if Nadal retires as he does a lot for tennis.
I would hate to agree with ya but you are right on it. Im a super Nadal fan and im worried that Nadal will have to retire at age 25 because of his knees. I agree fed will end up with 19 like Sampras said on sunday. I still think Nadal won´t be able to win more than 8 or 9 slams due to his knees but he will retire with a favorable record against roger.
yeah but you have to mind that allmost all of federer/nadal matches happened in clay. And in clay, i can say nadal is the best that ever was. The point is that for example in US Open nadal didn't reach the final, and so he never played against roger... if nadal were as good as federer in other fields we would have much more games between them and probabily a very equal score for each side.
i think federer is reaching the real top of his carrer and 19 is to little for him :D
19 too little? you don´t know about tennis at all. Roger is 28 and his best or prime years were between 2004-07,..........Murray is gonna get damn good, Nadal is comming back, Djoco is still very young, Del potro is gonna be damn good, Roddick is player better than ever and you are telling that 19 is too little? H2h between rogar and rafa: Rafa has beaten roger in three different surfaces in grand slam finals: wimbly, french, australia so rafa owns fed and that´s a fact.
in three years i will remember coming here to say to you that roger has at least 20. I don't think djokovic is going to be a big threat to roger. del potro yes indeed and murray even more. but roger's style of play doesnt require much effort, you saw the wimbledon final, that roddick lost because he couldnt stand up, and roger was like he had just started the game. So, i believe he will keep winning as agassi and sampras did. He is the best in history, why can't he keep winning?
19 is the number of slams he will end up collecting. Who knows what´s gonna happen, you are assuming Roger is gonna keep playing forever, not sure how hungry he really is, he doesn´t have to prove anything, he is the best ever. Competition is gonna get stiffer for him from now on, age is another factor, he is 28, not young anymore in terms of tennis
age, Nadal is coming back too. Fed doesn´t look as dominant as he was when he was in his primer. Things are gonna be more difficult for him.
they are gonna be difficult yes, but he said he wanted to play at least until 2012 so his son can see him play... that makes three years more at least... he is off pressure now with the roland garros thing, and he himself said that he can now enjoy playing without fearing never winning the french open. sometimes this can mean a lot, he is relaxed, has nothing to loose, he feels good, he keeps winning
yeah you are right. Fed is considered the best ever by many people so has nothing else to prove and now he is relaxed and that makes him really dangerous again.
Congrats to roger for winning french. Sampras said winning french solidifies rogers position as greatest. I think however, the only way his position as greatest will be solidified is when he beats nadal in a slam. That is more important than winning the french or even getting 15 plus slams in my opinion. What you people think?
Good luck with becoming a father roger. Hope you have more luck with that then you did trying to beat nadal. At least this time you have mirka to hold your hand for you so try not to cry. ok. What a shame, your tennis career will not been defined by what you won but how you lost repeatedly to the greatest of all time rafael nadal. The images of french 2008, wimbledon 2008 and AO 2008 where you cried like a weak pussy are the defining moments of your carreer. well done!
why do people insist on hating the other if they like one? I like both Federer and Nadal, they are both wonderful players and they both seem like pretty nice guys.
And they seem to like each other, so why can't their fans?
AMEN TO THAT! Beautifully said. thats the stuff i like to hear, and you said it well my fellow aussie friend. Im just sick of this hate, its just stupid and ignorant. It sounds just as bad as the Lamborghini vs Ferrari people. I mean, im a Lambo fan as i am a Federer fan, but just the same, i love Ferrari's and Nadal! I could go on, but your intelligent enough and have already proved that your a genuine person in this respect. And yes, Rafa and Fed are both great people. *sigh*
Headline: 2nd February "Nadal batters Roger......again! but this time makes him cry like a baby" HAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHHAHAHAHHAHHAHHAHHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHHAHHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHHHA
well I guess I'm one of the few who loves both, although roger more than rafa, but I still enjoy watching them play, especially together. Well, as long roger wins, when they play together, I'm fine. lol
Hehe! Same here man exactly im a huge Rafa fan, i love him hes great but i love Roger Moore...(more) lol. :P But Pierce Brosnan is still the best Bond. lol.
Federer, what a champion! 14+ slams (prob if he avoids nadal!), became nadals bunny, cried like a baby once the battering from nadal took its toll. He will always have that in the back of his mind and so will any objective tennis viewer that he got owned by nadal repeatedly!. His legacy as the greatest is a joke irrespective of what he wins and i am glad this illusion of him being the greatest is being eroded very quickly every time nadal batters the shit out of him.
lol Wow. Did Roger Federer rape you as a child or were you just born this way? I know you, i see your comment EVERYWHERE ON EVERY FEDERER VID! All you do is follow him around trying to bring him down on EVERY FUCKEN YOUTUBE VID> Your a discrace to tennis AND to Youtube. Yes, many hate you. I know. Check your channel comments too. I hope Nadal kills you with a 200KPH tennis ball to your head, cuz even he considers Fed as the greatest, even though he is a rival! Drink sionide n die u fukn hater...
Where you talkin to me? Thanx. Btw i just really hate that Cris321 guy with a passion, abot as much as he hates Federer. lol. He is a true hater wothout a valid reason. He literally follows fed around the internet jus to deliver messages of hate. Im a Federer fan but that dont mean i hate Nadal. I give respect where its due, unlike "some" fukn fools. Anway let m me know if u were replying to me. Thanx dude.
Yeah, i reckon even if Nadal saw that dudes comments dissing Federer like that, Nadal would be embarrased to have him as a fan. I feel sorry for Nadal to have some fans like that :)
Boy, aint that the truth. When Nadal fans post comments like "I want to murder Federer" and "shoot him" and I "hope Nadal fucks him at the US open" and oh, "he's a crybaby, he's a pussy and we are the bad ones?? Lol, go figure.
Its just ridiculous that they go on like that. Then they get attacked in comments for being asses and they wonder why. Then they cry about it. If they dont like Fed then why come into a vid Fed? Man its just annoying... They are both great players, cant we just get along and like em both even though we may be a fan of one? I feel sorry for Nadal to have such just disgustuing people as fans. lol. Not all ofcourse a dickheads, but so many are..
Roger is probably shitting his pants with the prospect of facing nadal in the aus final. I bet the cunt is still having nightmare about that wimbledon final where nadal exposed his overated swiss white ass. Go on nadal. Fuck him again and show him and his fans who is truly number one.
Im starting to think you really want to stick it in Federers ass you homo. You really have a serious problem with your obsession for hate towards Federer, you spend more time hating on him than spreading love and support to the players u love. Cric, be honest here, and tell the world the truth, DID FEDERER RAPE YOUR ASS AS A KID? Is that why you stalk him? Oh well, i see that your loving your life so ill leave it up to you to continue your unvalidated, jelous hate towards one of greatest. :P
" Even if Nadal would be right-handed he would be a great player ". True. So true. But I think that now Federer is kinda used to play nadal... they played each other something like fifteen times at least.
Well, for me, this past year of challenges is the best thing that ever happened to Roger. I was never a fan (I would cheer for whomever was battling against him). But this past year he endeared himself to me completely and I see him now in a different light; I see him as a MAN! I was shocked to find myself in Flushig rooting for him. Like him or not, the man is a class act and I wish him all the very best in he future.
Alles Gute, Roger und vielen Dank fuer Dein Beispiel.
Roger Federer is a class act. He's confident without being arrogant, and everywhere he goes, he classes up the joint what with his tailored suits and exquisite cardigans. He's very gracious to the press and his opponents a like, and has an ease about himself that is very attractive.
what a nice thing to say about federer. i agree with you. he is so humble. i hope he picks himself up after his most shocking loss with the french guy
Federer will come back. I think he probably needs a coach, and to just get Nadal out of his head. He won't be a Bjorg, retiring after a loss, he'll come back.
yeah.....Nadal clearly had the psychological edge over Fed in both the French Final and the Wimbledon Epic, but we cant completely tick Fed off....I mean, you cant reach 12 slams without steel...But he's gotta get tougher..
To me roger federer is a class act on and off the tennis court. Hes the best all around player and he can make all the shots. He beat sampras in 2001 and ended sampras run at wimbledon. That proves hes the best of all time and he will win the French open in 08'
Funny how things turned out... He didn't win the French in 08 -and he's not expected to do it ever, plus he lost Wimblendon and the AO.
This proves you can't stay stuck trusting your "better tennis" to defeat a younger guy who is improving his game day in day out. That guy is #1 now while Fed's preparing to change diapers.
Yep. I am a huge fed fan but, gotta give it to Nadal, he's changed and improved his game so much, as seen in the AO, and Federer it seems, hasn't been able to keep up. I think what Fed needs now is a coach, just to have one more different perspective on his game. I think Fed will get his 14th, and even a 15th or more eventually, I mean hey, Sampras didn't win his 14th till 2002 when he was 30. Nadal is gonna be dominant like federer was, but I think on a whole new level.
As I see it, it is all about mental strength. That's why Nadal pulled it off in those magical 5th-sets at Wim08 & AO09. They say the turning point was Wimbledon, but I think it was RG one month earlier. Rafa's win in straight sets (6-0 included) told Fed he could never win there while Rafa's around.
Picture this: both players reach the US Open final next september. Nadal has previously won RG and Wim again, but Roger's tennis is back at his best... WOW!!
I hate this fucktwat with a passion. He projects this false image of how humble he is, but the truth is nadal is the most humble and will beat the shit out of him again, and again and again. oh, and AGAIN! Even andy murray is getting into the federer bashing! lol. Roger federer, the greatest player in the world? Dont think so. Far from it , The greatest bunny, choker and cry baby in the history of the sport? Yes. Spot on.

This interview has no educational value. It's pointless and meaningless knowledge. Roger suffers from a mult- delusional relationship with reality, based on the fact that his relationship with tennis, money, ..., does not base itself upon an educational or economic standard. I hope I'm not the only one who can recognize this.
But you must remember that "reality" is totally relative to he who's experiencing it. I think what you're trying to say is that his conversation reflects a lack of higher intellectual input that's generally imbibed from pursuing higher education...but he's an athlete predominantly through and through. Which is not to say that he's not intelligent...just a bit mundane. Roddick, Miryni, Fish and some others are impressive speakers.
No value for whom? He's a bit mundane and a non-intellectual who's never benefited from attending institutions of higher learning, but he's sacrificed himself for the betterment of his game.English is also a 2nd language for him...by comparison though, Roddick, Miryni, Fish and others are impressive speakers.
Anyway, "reality" is totally relative, I'm sure I don't have to tell you. And actually discussing tennis strategy, techniques, drills, etc. are educational subjects with validity in becoming a better player. You seem a bit haughty and didn't express your thought completely...that seems to be YOUR reality!
Roger Federer has seen and experienced much more than we ever will. The ups, downs, different parts of the world, media, pressure, success that we can never dream of reaching.
If you get the chance to talk to him (or 'interview' him yourself, you'll see that his reality will no doubt be more well-rounded than yours.

My reality is based on truth. Roger's is based on the lie. Big difference!!! The lie is based on a lower level of intelligence and relationship with reality. When it comes to highest honor, through the means of tennis, I am the heir apparent. Problem is, you have to be as intelligent as I am, to be able to grasp it. With all that Roger has been given, there will be a day, when Roger will wish that he was never born. That will be when he comes to realize how shameful his life actually is.
He speaks 3/4 languages fluently, he's expressing himself in a language different to his native language. He's an incredible tennis player and he's chosen to pursue that as a career and now he's world number one and earning millions. Which kind of makes that choice look like a pretty intelligent one don't you think. You need to get back to reality yourself and get your head out your ass!! haha
federer best tennis player if he wins the french or not but if was to win it someday that would be the iceing on the cake i predict next year a federer slam
See, the problem is that I like both of them. I like Rafael more I think, but they're both spectacular players, obviously.

@hologram7777777 Ok, I should stress that with the following bit of investigative questioning my intention is not to offend you, but please answer as honestly as you can. Are you slightly retarded? I think it's best to be clear about this before engaging in any kind of debate about the merit of Roger Federer. Cheers.

.
Greatness = great skill + humility + not behaving like a sissy
roger = great skill (against lesser opponents) only
.
Roger WAS a good no.1 but NOT a great no.1 ....he's finally facing good competition now and its beating him .
.
My intention is not to offend you either ... but do sissy English fags like you fantasize about federer , when your blowing your chubby Girlfriend's strap-on . .....o no offense you mindless moron : ) cheers
hologram7777777 1 year ago
that's all u federer fans can say now...15 titles...15 titles.
he won most of those titles facing "ok" players or newbies .
when rafa peaked....he owned roger
when novak peaked....he owned roger
when delpo peaked.... he owned roger
when davy peaked.....he owned roger
i think NOW the competition is too tough for roger...If he wins titles in 2010 & 2011...then we can say he is a great player.
But 15 slams from Roddick, Hewitt and a younger Nadal ......does not make him a great player
hologram7777777 2 years ago
If Federer peaks, he beats them all in straight sets on any surface, no matter how they are peaking around, but he also wins at a bad day, the others dont, this is what makes him the greatest ever, 26?(not sure) slam semis in a row, is what already made him the best of all times, rafa said it, nole said it, delpi said it (sampras, agassi, mcenroe too btw) and davy is still celebrating his first victory after 13 matches!
pacodemic 2 years ago

Galactus247 2 years ago 4
The question of RF's greatness is......academic......15 GS titles including the French in less than a decade.......hard to argue with his record........

I never seen a player that loves the fans like Feds its genuine. If Feds keeps losing to Nadal in slams his greatest will be questioned

rafa beat federer on all surfaces and 3 different grand slams...roger beat rafa just in wimbledon (lost every game in RG and lost the match in the australian open)...im excited to see them play in the us-open one day...might be too early this year because of nadals injury but i really would enjoy to see them play each other in flushing meadows...head to head suggests nadal is better
shpendibnliri 2 years ago
tennis is not about h2h, please!federer has netagive h2h against Dominik Hrbaty and Murray, none of them has won a grandslam, so if we go with your teory these 2 players are better than federer. INSANE. rafa has also netagive h2h with david nalbandian and james blake. they are better than him yes? damn!~

rafa and roger played against each other in grand slams 8times...the four matches in roland garros rafa won all...and of the other 4 (3wimbledon, 1 austraian open) he won 2...its 6-2 for rafa in their grand slam clashes and even if you deduct the french open games it is even 2-2...roger might be considered the best player ever but he definately cant be considered better than rafa when losing most of his matches against him
shpendibnliri 2 years ago
I disagree about Nadal being the best on clay ever I still believe Borg has a superior record to Nadal. I definitely feel Nadal is the best clay court player in this generation but he's not better then Borg. Borg has 6 French Open finals and Nadal has 4.

Lol, no way Nadal is gonna win 12, no way his knees will stay fine.
mysteriekiller 2 years ago
I would hate to agree with ya but you are right on it. Im a super Nadal fan and im worried that Nadal will have to retire at age 25 because of his knees. I agree fed will end up with 19 like Sampras said on sunday. I still think Nadal won´t be able to win more than 8 or 9 slams due to his knees but he will retire with a favorable record against roger.
juandi2570 2 years ago
yeah but you have to mind that allmost all of federer/nadal matches happened in clay.
DRubio992 2 years ago
19 too little? you don´t know about tennis at all. Roger is 28 and his best or prime years were between 2004-07,..........Murray is gonna get damn good, Nadal is comming back, Djoco is still very young, Del potro is gonna be damn good, Roddick is player better than ever and you are telling that 19 is too little? H2h between rogar and rafa: Rafa has beaten roger in three different surfaces in grand slam finals: wimbly, french, australia so rafa owns fed and that´s a fact.
juandi2570 2 years ago
in three years i will remember coming here to say to you that roger has at least 20.
DRubio992 2 years ago
19 is the number of slams he will end up collecting. Who knows what´s gonna happen, you are assuming Roger is gonna keep playing forever, not sure how hungry he really is, he doesn´t have to prove anything, he is the best ever. Competition is gonna get stiffer for him from now on, age is another factor, he is 28, not young anymore in terms of tennis
age, Nadal is coming back too. Fed doesn´t look as dominant as he was when he was in his primer. Things are gonna be more difficult for him.
juandi2570 2 years ago
they are gonna be difficult yes, but he said he wanted to play at least until 2012 so his son can see him play... that makes three years more at least... he is off pressure now with the roland garros thing, and he himself said that he can now enjoy playing without fearing never winning the french open. sometimes this can mean a lot, he is relaxed, has nothing to loose, he feels good, he keeps winning
DRubio992 2 years ago
yeah you are right.

Federer, what a champion! 14+ slams (prob if he avoids nadal!), became nadals bunny, cried like a baby once the battering from nadal took its toll. He will always have that in the back of his mind and so will any objective tennis viewer that he got owned by nadal repeatedly!. His legacy as the greatest is a joke irrespective of what he wins and i am glad this illusion of him being the greatest is being eroded very quickly every time nadal batters the shit out of him.

To me roger federer is a class act on and off the tennis court. Hes the best all around player and he can make all the shots. He beat sampras in 2001 and ended sampras run at wimbledon. That proves hes the best of all time and he will win the French open in 08'
rogerdat45 3 years ago 2
Funny how things turned out... He didn't win the French in 08 -and he's not expected to do it ever, plus he lost Wimblendon and the AO.
This proves you can't stay stuck trusting your "better tennis" to defeat a younger guy who is improving his game day in day out. That guy is #1 now while Fed's preparing to change diapers.
miguelucho20008 3 years ago
Nadal is gonna be dominant like federer was, but I think on a whole new level.
themaliced 2 years ago
Mate, you're totally right.
WOW!!

This interview has no educational value. It's pointless and meaningless knowledge. Roger suffers from a mult- delusional relationship with reality, based on the fact that his relationship with tennis, money, ..., does not base itself upon an educational or economic standard. I hope I'm not the only one who can recognize this.
geniusloch 4 years ago
But you must remember that "reality" is totally relative to he who's experiencing it. I think what you're trying to say is that his conversation reflects a lack of higher intellectual input that's generally imbibed from pursuing higher education...but he's an athlete predominantly through and through. Which is not to say that he's not intelligent...just a bit mundane. Roddick, Miryni, Fish and some others are impressive speakers.
xman4un 4 years ago
No value for whom? He's a bit mundane and a non-intellectual who's never benefited from attending institutions of higher learning, but he's sacrificed himself for the betterment of his game.English is also a 2nd language for him...by comparison though, Roddick, Miryni, Fish and others are impressive speakers.
xman4un 4 years ago
Anyway, "reality" is totally relative, I'm sure I don't have to tell you. And actually discussing tennis strategy, techniques, drills, etc. are educational subjects with validity in becoming a better player. You seem a bit haughty and didn't express your thought completely...that seems to be YOUR reality!
xman4un 4 years ago
Roger Federer has seen and experienced much more than we ever will. The ups, downs, different parts of the world, media, pressure, success that we can never dream of reaching.
If you get the chance to talk to him (or 'interview' him yourself, you'll see that his reality will no doubt be more well-rounded than yours.
AAMLfan 4 years ago 4

My reality is based on truth. Roger's is based on the lie. Big difference!!! The lie is based on a lower level of intelligence and relationship with reality. When it comes to highest honor, through the means of tennis, I am the heir apparent. Problem is, you have to be as intelligent as I am, to be able to grasp it. With all that Roger has been given, there will be a day, when Roger will wish that he was never born. That will be when he comes to realize how shameful his life actually is.
geniusloch 4 years ago
LOL
That is all I can say.
AAMLfan 4 years ago 2
He speaks 3/4 languages fluently, he's expressing himself in a language different to his native language. He's an incredible tennis player and he's chosen to pursue that as a career and now he's world number one and earning millions. Which kind of makes that choice look like a pretty intelligent one don't you think. You need to get back to reality yourself and get your head out your ass!! haha
