  • Please come back girls .... make 2012 a Wilson Phillips year!

  • Shari...I know you did all u could...love you still...me

  • @grendal64

that's interesting, whoever wrote it is a really good writer. I have admiration. I've been writing for several years and I know it changes people.

  • this means soo much wen ur with someone that doesnt love u,i learned the hard way but that was yrs ago i have my great son out of it so his loss, wilson philipps music got me throu those dark days and i will never forget there music even now............

  • ..this is the best version, period.. :)

  • ...great song.. only these women could re sing this

  • as a writer, I can say rod stewart (who wrote the lyrics) is a lyrical genius and WP is pretty smart for recongizing it. You see, I've noticed that the brain, when you're mad at someone you can bash them to death but you won't have this kind of impact. The more you scream the weaker your impact is. OR you can do what they do, which is let the rage collapse back into it's base emotions and write something that EXPOSES the damage someone did to you. DEVASTATING impact.

  • @Fireinthedawn

Tim Hardin wrote the song. Rod Stewart merely was one of many that covered it.

  • I was 12 when this came out but have had the pleasure of buying the album again during a Singapore Stopover on the way home from the UK earlier this year so many memories.I drive to this album almost everyday.

  • click 'Like' while you press the F2 key.....=D

  • I love the screaming guitar in the background; and you girls are just mamaaki !!!

  • @ohbradky That ´s right man Steve Lukather ( Toto) on guitars.Master.

  • this is my all time favorite CD i listend to it all the time until about 2 yrs ago when i lent it to a good friend and when i asked her for it back she says she cant find it. made so mad and now im actually sad because i"ve looked for it everywhere so i can buy and NOBODY sells it. China Phillips was also great in her role in "Caddyshack 2". fantasic, i love these girls:)

  • @nanreik100 u gotta be kidding me, this CD is very ez to find. i see it everywere. go to amazon.com. youll find it there

  • Love Wilson Phillips! Here's my tribute to them..

    youtube.com/watch?v=jEippUqLL0k

  • Awesome job.Enjoying it very much.

  • Undoubtedly, the best version of this song! Vocals, instrumental arrangements, very clear, beautiful!! Awesome...

  • @italianfranca Sorry but I have to disagree. Have you listened to Tim Hardin's original version? However, this version is quite different and is very good.

  • @ElToroCa Sorry, but is my opinion (and many others).Tim is the creator of the song and his original version is really very good, but this version of the girls has influenced my life. Beautiful arrangement!

  • Love the girls but this , in my opinion , is a car crash. Over produced, over orchestrated, over arranged. For an epic version go and listen to Rod Stewart doing this- it'll tear you up.

  • @asburystan Who does not love Rod Stewart´s early albums.....

This is overproduced, I agree, but still it is very sweet. Still love this album.

  • @asburystan Some things sound better over produced. Like this song.

  • I cry when i heard this song

  • I just listened to the karen carpenter version and I got to say, THIS version is the best. K.C. version sounds so dated and old country. It sounds like it belongs on the Lawrence Welk show. But W.P. version packs an emotional punch and makes you feel what they're singing about. We've all been in love with someone who was bad for us but we're so caught up in how we feel about that person ,we'll ignore all the warning signs because losing that person would hurt too much.

  • I love how the song and the harmonies builds up to an emotional cresindo. It's very powerful. One of my favorite songs from their 1st cd.

  • While the girls do a "good" job on this song.. The definitive version belongs to the late Karen Carpenter that was recorded for the Carpenters "Close To You" album in 1970..

  • AWW many happy memories listening to this back in the day.

  • havent hurd there songs in forever.. but still know the words... word for word :)

  • I {{heart}} Wilson Phillips! Their music is so awesome. My husband and I got married in Sept. 1990 and listened to this album OVER and OVER as we drove to and from our honeymoon destination AND while we were there. I have loved it ever since. Our 3 daughters have grown up listening to it and they love it just as much as we do! This is a classic and I will always treasure it! Thank you, Carnie, Wendy and Chynna for giving us something special.

  • @JoyNtheJourney i couldnt have said it better, this albums was rated somewere as one of the top 1000 albums ever it was somewere in the 400s but point is, that for sure, this is one of the greatest albums in histroy, i mean there are lots of them, but this one definantly deserves to be in there :)) too bad their other albums sucked. i always thought they were gonna be around forever :(( but thankfuly they gave us this; as you say, classic WOO-HOO!!

    san jose,ca

  • the 90s musiq were sooo coool!!!

  • I love Wilson Phillips

  • i'm 50 and still love these songs please enjoy

  • way better than rod stewart's....

  • @eleguis3 way better i've listened to them for over 20 years

  • @eleguis3 Actually, it is a Tim Hardin song.

  • @alienhuman Yes I heard it on the radio and the DJ said after playing it that it was so short that he had to play it again! That was the T Hardin version....funny really to hear a song 2 times in a row, but it was worth it.

BTW WilsonPhillips do it quite ok I think.

  • :)))

  • OMG - proper singing instead of the shite we listen too these days. Harmonys - pop stars these days don't know what they are. Go girls - would love to see you three back in the charts :)

  • love em..bring bk memories.....

  • Man...didn't realize how much I missed real vocals! The talent-free "radio" voices have taken over our heads lately, and I'm pretty sick of it, now that I remember the alternative...guess I'm just old!

  • My dad caught me listening to this cassette tape(remember those Lol) and for the next five years thought I was gay.I miss music like this.

  • @charlespippins76 That's hilarious! I totally laughed at that.

  • I grew up listening to Wilson Phillips with my mom and i absolutely love them!

  • wow- going down memory lane.. great song when in was a teen. ♥

  • im to young to have memories of this band..but my mom use to play them all the time when i was little, and this, is what i call music. good, simple music, meaningful lyrics, and its not about getting drunk, high, or getting laid. i love this kind of music, its my life. thank you for posting this <3 :)

  • I loved these girls when I was a teenager and always will. I thank them for being a part of my life / teenage memories.

  • just amazing girls

  • ITS LIKE IT HAPPEN ALL AGAIN...

  • i was like 3 when i first heard them in 1990, now im 23 and i still love them. aint that amazing!!!

  • deadphriend@hotmail.ca

  • cool version of this song with rockin' guitar solo by totos steve lukather and joe walsh playing rhythm guitar.great album sexy ladies!!

  • they are hot hot hot

  • i do believed in you... 55 days more... baby if this love wont come true, then i wont fall in love again...this time i want it real.,...you're all i want....hope you find time to listen to this song...

  • they have sweet voices and the song would have been perfect for them, but the then-trendy production kind of ruins it.

  • @ktheintz agree with you, a wonderful song, but something is missing with the WP version. Though a lovely album, one of the best pop album of the 90´s surely.

  • i love the Karen Carpenter version of this song. But this isn't a bad version. I like Wilson Phillips

  • Well.... if Rod Stewart had written this this song, then maybe he could sue, but seeing as Tim Hardin wrote it, he can't, can he.

  • wow this is quite bad. rod should sue.

  • @bluesdemitra38 wow, you're quiet retarded, maybe you should learn a little something about the history of this song before you write something that dumb ever again...

  • stilll love this

  • love it!

  • Awesome!

    You go girls!

  • it would be cool if wilson phillips hooked up with Rod Stewart on this...him lead and the girls backing him up on powerful harmony

  • Rod Stewart wished he sounded this good singing this song

  • Brilliant take on this song!!! Wilson Phillips have always been a fave of mine!

  • i loved then too.. wished they made avideo

  • Nice version. The first version I heard was by Ian and Sylvia. It stuck, so remains my favorite. Best thing Tim Hardin wrote, I think.

  • brucev7 thanks for clearing that up .i got a little ahead of my self its my first week actually commenting on videos.will do better in future!!

  • Nice cover. Peace.

    peace/love

  • Sweet version.

  • wow... Rod Stewart's version was good... but this is better.

  • I don't think better..just different.A great song like this has to be sung with emotion and Rod did that, and so does WP.

  • i was in germany in the army when this album came out, and everyone laughed at me. their tight harmony was unbelievable

  • Actually loads of people did it before Rod Stewart... :)

  • i agree. even peter paul & mary had a version of this song. and it's very good, harmony-wise. hope somebody uploads it soon.

  • dont forget the sounds that we grew up with its your history and what you lisen to is your make up thank God for the past because the sounds now are mostly CRAP

  • I kinda prefer older songs but not all the new songs these days are crap ... although the majority are!!!

  • :: this is one of my favorite songs.... me and my sister love this so much since i was in 3rd year high school and now im in college.... love you wilson phillips....

    :: i find a reason to believe,.......:)

  • I stop listening and I am better off. Good-bye old habits! Time to let it go.

  • This is one of the best songs from the early 90´s, why do you have to look who is fat or not?? I love WilsonPhillips

  • ..you know, it wasn't so bad her appearance..a GirlGroup like theirs/'Carry Each Other..It's just the Sexiness so Greatest for awhile worry!

  • Their voices just metlt together so well. The harmony gives me chills.

  • Hey at least I hear the word in their songs, not just said fuck u etc..
