  • Awwwww Coool!!!!

  • @colorfulsteve You are so boss! When I use yellow it doesn't really show up well. Does that mean I am not using enough?

  • NOW YOU'RE READY TO DIE!!!

  • If I want to take a shirt and JUST add a heart, but not in the center, what would I do? Would I just fold where I would want the middle of the heart, draw the half, tie it off, and just dye that part? I don't see why it wouldn't work like that but I'm just curious if anyone has done it off center.

  • @demmer44 yes thats exactly what you would o

  • That looked awesome

  • awesome :) if you have big bottles of dye like that how can you keep it so that the dye wont dry up or go bad?

  • @rwarrrimadork what size bottles are you using? i use 16 oz bottles and i just leave my dyes out and theyre fine

  • @colorfulsteve I dont have any big ones yet but we are really starting to get good at tiedyeing so we were thinking about just buying the bottles and not kits . But I'll get 16oz just to be safe ! Thanks xx

  • I did this on my daughter's Art apron and it turned out so great!!! Thank you!!!

  • um could you use this on like a blanket

  • cool hat bro buut thanks for the vid to

  • After tye dying do u rinse or wash before wearing after the 8 hours

  • @csnoel2107 @csnoel2107 you rinse once the water from the shirt is clear. Then wash separately.

  • no mams

  • @xian67 you want the cotton silk and other plant fibers tab on the side. thats best if your going to tie dye alot. if your just tie dying a shirt here and there your probably better off just getting tulip bottles from your local craft store

  • @colorfulsteve Yeah I'm probably better of buying the tulip ones. I have one more question. Do you use any of that soda ash stuff? If you do, do you put the shirt in the soda ash filled water before or after you tie the shirt in the desired pattern? Thanks again for the reply!

  • @xian67 you mix the soda ash with water in a bucket then you soak the shirt in the soda ash water before you do anything. then you ring it out fold it then dye it

  • @colorfulsteve sorry to keep bugging but do you use any of that Synthrapol stuff? And thanks for the replies, I really appreciate it.

  • @xian67 some people use synthrapol i personally do not

  • i have no interest in tie dying what so ever but that was some sweet as styling bro wd

  • Wow I never knew how easy it was to do the heart. It looks awesome!

  • double you, oh , double you. WOW !!! :D

I SOO WANT TO DO THIS NOW:D your so talented :)

  • Do u think it would work if i used a red shirt & just died the heart black??? or even the opposite? thanx

  • NOICE i wanna do that

  • I would like to know what type of ink do you use, because im using the roung ones. i would like to know the mark of the ink so i can re satart the tie dye because im loving it.

ps: im from Portugal so it needs to be one known mark

    thanks

  • that turned out really cool

  • would you do the same steps for a marijuna leaf?

  • I love this!! I am addicted to tie dying and plan on selling t's the same way!! Sick ass shirts bro :)

  • slapped those colors on there like a boss lol i like ur hat

  • I am in love with this design!! I have a summer project to use a plain white t-shirt and decorate it to show my personality, I was thinking of doing a rainbow heart on the area covering my heart/ chest but I wanted to do a smaller design covering only a small section, would it bleed outwards a lot and if I were to do the smaller design I am guessing I just fold the t-shirt more to the right side to get a symetrical heart on one side? Thanks for this video!! Great inspiration!

  • can I use this technique for anything thats symmetric, like a cross for example ? :)

  • @buschofanektas yes you can

  • what are the inkk that yyou use

  • you are a bad ass! & a talented tye-dyer! <3 your shirts :)

  • love it

  • That's awesome xD

  • what do u use for dye ?

  • :) i love your videos man :D you actually insppirated me to tie dye my own shirts to, just one question: what type of dye do you use? and where do you get it? thanks :)

  • @lolSofxD thank you! i use procion mx dyes. i get them from prochemicalanddye(.)com

  • @colorfulsteve thnks man! Hope the result of my shirts will be good jaja you're great! :)

  • Nice Hat!

  • you missed a spot :L

  • your very good at aiming the dye...

  • Rubberbands dont work well in colorado...

  • What about purple?

  • what kinda dye do you use?? i normally get the tulip since its cheaper but it always beads and runs everywhere..you could see the fabric just sucking the dye up!!

  • if i wanted to make a star would i do the same? fold the shirt draw half a star the make it into ine linee???! PLEASE REPPLLY

  • @thesodapopz yes. i made a video for a star. check it out

  • cool!

  • I HAVE YOUR HAT :D

  • purple??????????/

  • I love your hat, thanks fir the tutorial!

  • Explain the folding a little better please!

  • loved it . do u think it would be ok if instead of black i used as a dark color green or navy blue , or do u thing it wouldnt work as good ? also ... what kind of fabric dye should i use for a ballet leotard xD ... yeah its made from polyamide fabric..... help ? ^^,'

  • you forgot purple

  • Did you tie dye your shorts too?xD

  • @XueAyaka haha yeah

  • @XueAyaka i thought he just had a really long shirt on. haha

  • I must be dumb cause i can't figure this out with out seeing your folds

  • now your ready to die...

  • what do you do after you've left it for 6-8 hours? wash it in cold water? wash it in a washing machine?

  • @alonif92 i was it in cold water in a washing machine. but you can use a sink or a hose it doesnt matter.

  • @alonif92

don't leave it for just 8 hours. If you want you're colors to stay brighter and not fade, let yur shirt batch in a plastic bag for 5-7 days to let the colors set really well :)

  • awesome. definately going to try that one

  • Thats dope i always wanted to start Tie Dyeing shirts. How much does the Dye cost? :O

  • @kidzxrule from the store like 6 bucks a bottle which isnt to bad if your only dying one shirt but if you tie dye a lot i would reccomend buying it in bulk youll save alot of money

  • @colorfulsteve How much do you spend on dye? I've bought the Jacquard kits to experiment with the procion dyes and love it but it just seems so expensive (mainly b/c of shipping costs). Do you know of any stores (or types of stores) that carry it?

  • @colorfulsteve where can i find these colours and what are they called? if you could suggest a large store within north american, like wal-mart, that would be great! thanks and awsome vid :)

  • @xnairyx walmart has big kits with pretty much every color for 25bux in the craft section :)

  • @xnairyx walmart has tye dying sets in the craft sections..just picked up a set to do some for my 8 month old grand daughter...doing some onsies for her....and i'm in texas...so u should be able to find them there...good luck

  • @colorfulsteve Where do you buy it at? :O

  • soooo sickkkkkk

  • I've done a bunch of hearts since I first watched this video and I've gotten lots of compliments!!! Everybody thinks I'm incredibly impressing now. THANK YOU!

  • Beautiful! What a great project to do with the grandkids!!!! Thank you!

  • Can you use food coloring?

  • what dye did you use? i love it

  • @tomjavonich36 i use procion mx dyes

  • when you started in the beginning, was the shirt damp or did you wash it and dry it?? please reply

  • that is so fucking goood!

  • Hi, do you have to wear a mask when using these dyes? Also what shade of green do you use?

  • @KingsDominionGeek i dont wear a mask. the green i use is called "brightest green"

  • well kiss my grits! that- is the best darn tie dyed t-shirt i've ever seen!!!

  • Can you send me that t-shirt i will pay you 25 bucks

  • This is freakin awesome!!! I wish I'd seen it before I did my tie dye yesterday - but i do it every few weeks so next time I'm going to make tones of heart shirts haha! THANK YOU!

  • thank you for making this video!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I Love this thanks for making this! i really wanted to learn how to do this! :D

  • no it will affect it. if you mix colors on top of each other they could form other colors. for instence blue and yellow will make green red and blue will make a dark purple. some colors are bad to mix like blue and orange they make an ugly brown

  • so it wont matter is another color is top of the other? it wont affect it?
