Why don't the weather channel show WEATHER that is happening now? Let the HISTORY CHANNEL show these storys of the past. It sucks when you go the the weather channel and there is a damn story instead of the weather. It's call THE WEATHER CHANNEL FOR A REASON, NOT THE STORY CHANNEL.
I was there. I went thru the same storm. It was horrible. I ended up leaving homestead and moved to the Florida keys where I am now. It's only a matter of time till one hits again
To this day I remember Andrew vividly, and have PTSD from the storm, hurricanes scare the crap out of me. I evacuate when I am told, nothing is worth my life.

I hope the Zinn family rebuilt their home with concrete block. Because that's the material that holds up best to big hurricanes.
