  • Saw them ! Iron Butterfly was there as well. Brownsville Station, too :-D

  • From 1974 LP by them.

  • One person who clicked dislikes this is, I wonder if that big blind fool person chose to grove with the Devil foolish in Eternal Damnation Torture in Hell instead of Groovin With Jesus Christ God Himself.

  • groovy!

  • grooooovy groovy do i ever love this funky blues piece.

  • Funky ass shit baby! Damn i love the combination of a completely fine hammond, and a bluesy, funky guitar, and good ole' Marriot's stunning vocals!

Fine song, real fine! Love it <3

  • This is the Song for All Days! Grovin' With Jesus!

  • Funky Rock and Roll Gospel

  • open for grand funk railrailroad humble pie was a good band not a great band

  • @tulane111 you are one tone deaf, blindass judge of ultimate talent. GFR, while good, couldn't draw a breath, vibrate a string, nor bang a drum with a hundred years practice and be in the same league as the Pie was. What an ignorant comment you made.

  • @tulane111 like grand funk, but the pie blew them off the stage

  • @tulane111 i'm a big grand funk railroad fan but they could not touch the humble pie

  • Man dang did I grow up in the wrong era. It's such a shame so many people my age don't know this amazing band. THIS IS MUSIC.

  • We love you and miss you more each passing day Steve!

  • Jesus never played guitar! I mean he did just leave Chicago bound for New Orleans but that's about it.

  • You can rock n roll and still groove with Jesus. A lot of us fought the same things Steve did we just made it through. As a veteran of many hard living rock bands I can tell you that we still rock. We just have a different lifestyle now. Most of us couldn't continue that way and some that did aren't here anymore -RIP. I promise you I know the lifestyle better that most. Jesus was always looking over us and I am lucky that I was groovin with him. I just don't drink as much as I used to.

  • I agree with revup67, Thunderbox is really a great album, I like it better than the the prior release Eat It,

  • is Steve Marriot cristian?

  • I love it!

  • I love Jesus and I love Steve Marriot :-)

  • It's for reals too.

That's what's cool about this one.

  • remember, gospel and soul was always and will always be intertwined in music somehow and someshape

  • @2468oldschooltimes That's because music is a gift from GOD.

  • nice... thanks for posting this

  • I hate gospel music more than any other other genre. However..., in Marriott's hands it becomes a thing of beauty.

Like I've always said, "Steve, he be preachin'!"

  • @HerbDangerous Nice words. I agree with you. Steve just makes it all make sense.

  • i hope steve is with Jesus lol

  • whos playing the Hammond b3 on this anyone?

  • @db95018 Steves playing organ here

  • @db95018 Steve is

  • A remake of the Fantastic Violinaires Song.Very Cool.:)

  • This song was covered very well by this group. But, it was originally done in 1970 by A legandary Gosple group The Fantastic Violinaires. Their version has now been posted by me.

  • Thunderbox may be my favorite studio album from this band. It just cooks from beginning to end. Soulful, funky, rockin' good time!!! That song they did about Muhammad Ali (also on the LP) is bad-ass too...

    >;-D

  • wow! this is most favorite song of pie!

  • Jesus and steve marriott=two cool cats

  • This is really cool! I've always been a fan of Humble Pie and Jesus but had never heard this song.

  • oh yea saw these guys way back in 1977 live never will forget!! now just go on and get!!

  • i think i may need a towel to wipe my spew whwn this is over!!!

  • are we sure this is the right picture to the song...? LOL

  • Groovin with Jesus! :)

  • Thunderbox is one bad ass funky down righteous LP. Overlooked by many Pie fans. Get in the groove ya'll.

  • Listen and learn...

  • and "Road Runner"!
