  • Lmao...after taxes hes stil down 1k LOL

  • At the Montreal Casino, Slots pay up to $1000 (in vouchers); Anything more, than the employee has to come and give it to you (in cash).

  • Nice hit! Wish I had 5 grand to put in one of those. I've won 3k and 2k at the MGM Grand before now, but as a non-US citizen we don't get stung by taxes. God bless America!

  • Nice hit! :-)

  • good job. are you up or down overall on the 100 slots. i will try them in a few weeks for the first time.

  • 5,000 no big deal... bullshits i want his job

  • In a $100 machine a win of $ 9000 is no jackpot, and you do not have to pay taxes for the winning. You just take your ticket out of the machine and change it at the cashier. So easy.

  • @serratop Unfortunately, you are incorrect. Any slot machine win that is over $1200 requires the casino to issue a tax form and they report it to the IRS.

  • @perfect1150 Oh man, I changed so many tickets over $1200 and nobody did make a tax form. And what is with the big winners of craps, roulette, poker, black jack? I had wins of $50000 and more per day and nothing happend. I just put it in my deposit account and finish. Sorry, but this is the truth.

  • @serratop Ya, you can cash a ticket for more than $1200, but any single win over $1200 gets you a tax form. As far as the table games you've listed, they are exempt from the $1200 limit. You can win as much as you want on table games and nothing happens, but if you win $1200 or more on ONE pull of a slot machine or ONE game of any other electronic game the machine will lock up and you WILL get a tax form. Sorry, but THIS IS THE TRUTH.

  • @perfect1150 He's right anything over $1200 on slot games is a Hand pay out with a 1099 form for the IRS, but if you build up and go over $1200 you can cash your ticket out and walk away i play the $100 machine a lot and about 60% of the time i walk away with about $5000-15000 in wins so far my biggest hit was at Aria in vages for $25,000.

  • @perfect1150 Sorry, one correction. You get taxed on any table wins over $10,000.00. Check the Casino Credit office for verification of local rules. Always have taxes taken out now, so you don't get a love letter next April from the IRS or local tax people.

  • @perfect1150 Sorry to interject but what you said about winning on table games is not correct when you said, "nothing happens." To make the long story short, I won $80K in blackjack from a casino in East Chicago, Indiana in 1999 and the IRS has been after me - even though I lost all of it back weeks later.

  • @mimbster1972 What I meant by "nothing happens" is the casino does not give you nor do they require you to fill out a 1099 form for table game wins. Ya, the casino tracks your play and estimates how much you win or lose, but I have never been given a 1099 for table game wins. Regardless of how much I won. If you keep good records in regards to your gambling winnings and losses then you won't run into the problem you ran into.

  • @perfect1150 The IRS is still after me man. I won 5 fig. from BJ in East Chicago in 1999.

I haven't done much research in this 1099 thing for table game as I haven't won big in the past decade. But I think the standard is around 10K of chips, when they will ask for your ID? Of course, it differs from casino operator to operator, AND how big you play, your tracked play and history. If you are a know high roller playing at the same casino for years and knowing the cage employees/supervisors,

  • @perfect1150 its nice to be important but important to be nice

  • @serratop We were presented with the form to fill out immediately, and the money was taken out right there on the spot so I do not see how you got around this. Sorry, I do not buy it. ANY win over $1,199 automatically calls for taxes to be taken out.

  • @pris72 Buy it or not, I have never been required to have the taxes taken out right there. Any win over $1199 requires the casino to report the win to the IRS, unless you are not an American Citizen, then they do take the taxes out right there. I have won numerous jackpots and have NEVER been required to pay the taxes on the spot. I even hit a jackpot for $180,000 and they gave me the OPTION to have the taxes withheld, but it wasn't required. Why they took it out on yours is beyond me.

  • @perfect1150 Cont'd. It depends on from state to state, with NV and NJ being the most liberal I guess. But the few times that I cashed out over $10K in chips, I have been asked to produce my ID - This is in an Indian casino and I thought it was about money laundering security after 9/11. Anyway, a gambler is required to treat gambling wins from table as if 1099, although most people don't care b/c they don't win big enough to file for tax purposes.

  • @mimbster1972 I have also been asked to produce my ID when cashing in chips, but for them to see if I have a credit line that I need to pay back, not for tax purposes. You're correct, a gambler should report their gambling winnings on their taxes, but again, if you keep good records you can almost always offset your wins with losses.

  • @perfect1150 (con't) then perhaps you may slide by often. I experienced this a few times when had over 10K in chips at Caesars' inside high limit cage. But I had been playing for days and cashing in and out numerous times. Perhaps they were tired of keeping track of me and didn't bother asking for ID. But most likely, if you are new to them or something, they would prob. ask for ID if it is over a certain figure. It used to be different but after 911, the government has tightened things up

  • @perfect1150 (cont'd) b/c of money laundering and stuff. So they may have made it a law requiring reporting (same as the banks) when cashing out at a certain figure. But b/c there's so much opposition from the casino industry, in protecting themselves to maintain less transparency as well as keeping their whale players comfortable, this is still on-going as far as I know. There is no enforcement across the board.

  • @perfect1150 Even if your not from the States?

  • @serratop You don't know what you're talking about. A lot of high limit slots will have wins of $1,199 just below the $1,200 tax limit. If you win more than that on a machine it will lockup, and you will be hand payed and fill out a tax form.

  • @sausagesnail Clarification: under the rules for tickets, you can accumulate small wins that total over $1200 and you wont get taxed. Any win of $1200 or more requires a tax form. This applies to slot machines and video poker. Many casinos are going back to coin-in on high-limit slots; players play faster with coin than they do with paper money.

  • perfect1150 you are the man! you got the luck and because of you i had the balls to play $100 top dollar machine in march 2010 and on my first press i hit the bonus. I got $2500 but i guess better than nothing! Thank you perfecto1150 maybe ill try the $500 version soon... LOL :)

  • Why the hell would you use a 100 slot machine

  • @XandeRToXic The same reason people climb Mt Everest? 1. Because it's there and 2. Because I can. 3. Plus I can afford to.

  • @perfect1150 Well good for you...

  • @XandeRToXic Hope I didn't offend you, just sounded like a good answer.

  • You know a huge portion is going to tax! Fuck taxes!

  • @DJFG85 I agree, but I'll still take the excess over the amount of the taxes.

  • Very cool! The most I've won was $800 on a $5 machine. The largest slot machine I've seen out my way is $10. Didn't realize there were $100 machines out there! :)

  • @DrDoom616 Hell, I've seen $5,000 machines. Just looking at those scare me.

  • @perfect1150 I would agree! I can't imagine even having $5000, much less putting it into one bet in a slot! :)

  • sweet!

  • Nice-Too Rich For My Blood ,.......My best Win is at a Canadian Casino (No tax on Winnings) is 7000 on a keno machine ...(a 1$ bet)

  • Hit 3k on a $25 slot at the Belagio first hit

  • Oh I love the top dollar 2x2 newer ones.. the dollar ones have been real good to us. About a month ago i was on a 2 credit dollar(rare most are 3) And on 5th click top dollar came up, on the 2nd offer it went BING! BING! BING! BAM! BAM! lol The bings being 100,50 25 and bam both 2x.. it was 700+ with alittle oddball 10 i think.. They sure are fun :)

  • Thats the killer - have to play $200 each time so the bonus game is activated. These machines are tremendously profitable for the house, thats why there are so many of them. You play 2 coins but it only has a one coin pay table. But if it hits, the least you win is $2000. And YOU decide how big a win you get!

  • "And YOU decide how big a win you get!"

Or the machine...it is computerized, after all. I've gotten some pretty crappy final offers.

  • So have I. I think the bonus offers are predetermined when you push the spin button.

  • Still, in this case, 9 grand is nothing to complain about. I've never hit more than $1k (but I've never played a $100 machine either).

  • I agree, I wasn't complaining at all. There's nothing wrong with winning 1K.

  • I got crappy offers tonight in fact!

  • lol...god knows how much this dude is down....you cant beat this one arm bandits

  • it sux though that you have to play $200 a spin just to win 9 grand!! Good hit though!

  • thats what its all about right thare ! bet big to win big

  • I like the fact that the guy came to have fun. He dropped $5,000 in the machine...Couldn't care less if he won or lost... he just wanted to do his thing. Nice hit!

  • @DBR00 Where does it say he spent $5,000?

  • @fusock If you listen to the video, she asks him" how much did you put in, $1k?" He answers :"$5,000". Be sure to vote again for O'Bama.

  • @DBR00 Isn't that what life's all about? Win or lose, all that matter is that we live life!

  • Wow now that is a hit!
