  • wow. just wow.

  • Amen.

  • perfectly sums up the movie

  • perfect video to put you to sleep on valentines day

  • After I first saw this movie I couldn't talk for two days. When it came out on dvd I started putting it in the player just to have as background while I'm doing stuff around the house. These days I don't feel right if I haven't watched Synecdoche, New York at least once a week. When I feel confused and unfocused, this film brings me back to center.

  • @aimlessalchemist i want to say that that's fucked up, but man, i can totally feel where your coming from, and that's cool with me.

  • The first time I watched this movie I really didn't like it and was very dissapointed, especially because I love Charlie Kaufman's stuff. But it's taken a good year of thinking about this movie to realize that it was just to big for me to swallow. I didn't realize that it was about a man possibly reflecting on his life in a fractured manner and realizing himself and accepting his life. I couldn't see the beauty in it. I can't wait to watch it again so that I can.

  • Love this part!!!

  • stephynot286 , thanks & greetings from amsterdam

  • Part 2:

And even though the world goes on for eons and eons you are only here for a fraction of a fraction of a fraction of a second. Most of your time is spent being dead or not yet born but while alive you wait in vain, wasting years for a phone call or a letter or a look from someone or something to make it all right and it never comes or its seems to but it doesnt really so you spend your time in vague regret or even vaguer hope that something good

  • Part 1: Everything is more complicated than you think. You only see a tenth of what is true, and there are a million little strings attached to every choice you make. You can destroy your life every time you choose. But maybe you won't know for 20 years and you may never ever trace it to its source. And you only get one chance to play it out. Just try and figure out your own divorce. And they say there is no fait but there is... its what you create.

  • Does anybody know where I can find this speech written??

    Thanks.

  • there is such a poetic truth to this that makes it so perfect.

  • Fuck everybody. Amen.

  • @bradrector ..after the endscene of scarface i asume??

  • anybody know the name of this song - and where to get it? it's not on the soundtrack, disappointingly.

  • It's a variation on the traditional song 'Auld Lang Syne' arranged by the brilliant Jon Brion. Unfortunately, it doesn't appear to be included in the soundtrack.

  • auld lang syne, makes sense... but yeah, not on the soundtrack, which i have here in my virtual hand, which prob means it doesnt exist in this version out there at all. unless someone writes to jon. =)
