I've got the same as you and I find mine to be very noisy like you can here it through the closed door.
It's spinning at 1300 RPM and it looks like you can't change that.
It seems your CPU is too hot. My AMD X6 is at 43°C with Noctua NH-C14P fan, in a mid-ATX case without case fans. If I don't use "quiet" mode and case fans, it lowers down to 33 °C.
@rock962000 yeah i know but i've allready ordered a pc with 650w but 80plus certificate...my cpu intel i7 2600 is hopefuly not draining that much because if i would have problems with the ''W''thingie i would be pissed off
I've currently got the same case with an I7 920 and a 5970 both water cooled. Did cooling the MOBO have any real benefit? I'm going to be updating to a 6990 once some EK blocks are out for it and I might cool the mobo while I'm at it.
Also, what loop is the mobo on in this rig? CPU or GPU?
@Sabiancym - Cooling the board isn't required but it's very cool looking IMO and drops temps about 60% from 65C to about 25-30C, so if you live in an area where its hot then it would be beneficial. Not to mention cooling the MB will preserve the life.
Check out the video of the $7500 PC Tower I am building next!
@adamjamesroe It's a good power supply. Has all the wires you could need and has a single +12v rail. Couldn't have placed the res where it is if a modular PSU were to be used. Also, the res is able to be pulled out of the case just enough to be maintenanced. And yes, it's all running off of the 360 and 120. Read the description and watch all of the video to see the temps.
@rock962000 Sorry wasnt on my PC had to cut short watching the Vid, my dad needed his PC. am watching it again now though. do you not find that case a bit of a Hot Box?
@adamjamesroe - TX and HX power supplies are are exactly the same -/+ modular. There is no need for +$100 for modular when I use all of my cables (except 2x PCI-E but I will be filling those 2 very soon) and I would not be able to mount my res the way I have with modular.
@lizardmannnn - If you say so. I wouldn't buy anything except Corsair PSU because of single rail design. Unless I needed Tri-Quad GPU capable in which in that case I would probably get a ABS with 150+ AMP single rail.
@slashBR1751 - Well that is the case with any electronic item you buy however X58 will remain flagship until the end of 2011 at which point I will likely upgrade 6 months after Sandy Bridge Launch. It's part of the game, trying to stay with the newest technology.
i dont really know but i dont really trust watercooling i just dont want it to break and screw all the hardware thats inside but its is a really nice built
Hey, I been wanting to do a water cooled setup in my upcoming pc. I see u have used all the big names, is their one u prefer over the other?? or does each company have there specialty? Thanks, and your pc is one of the nicest I'v seen. 5/5.
@GodOfThunder6661 - For block I would recommend EK. There is no other company I would choose. I did start with Koolance Blocks and they perform on par with EK but EK is simply the best, top notch.
Lanig D5 pumps are (Swiftech MCP-655, Koolance 450, etc.) are the best.
Stay away from UV dyed coolant! Use Feser Pure Water with Biocide.
You will want at least one big radiator, the DD Black Ice (Extreme Series) are great however Feser is coming out with a new Admiral line, they look great.
I would wait for revision 2 motherboards if going with 1155 CPU's. Also, Ivy Bridge which will be the top of the line and replacing X58/1366 will be out at the end of 2011.
All of the new Socket 1155 Boards will be about the same give or take some extra features. I know the Sandy Bridge chips have "better specs" but they X58 is still Intel's Flag Ship product.
If you want to give me a budget I would be more then happy to show you some products. PM me on YouTube your contact/messenger info.
My GTX 470 runs at 74C In all games, but Furmark it hits 90C after 15 Minutes Extreme Burn in at 1.012V 800Mhz Core/ 1600 shader/ 850Mhz memory. If i get another for SLI they'll be smoking. Noise is also a concern for me. So i hope i can keep the GPU(s) and CPU under 70C under 100% furmark/ intel burn test. Your Thoughts?
@a32938 Considering noise is a problem for you, your cards in SLI will be running hotter than 74C for sure. Especially if you're using stock cooling for them. I would suggest getting used to noise. Using MSI Afterburning to build profiles that fit your criteria. In other words, you're gonna have to jack that stock fan speed up to 70%+ for each card. Unless you're willing to spend a lot of money on water cooling. Or I hear Coolit has nice low cost liquid cooling for GPU's. I'd give it a look! :D
@a32938 - The 4 series nvidia chips are poorly binned and require a ton of power. The end result is heat.
If you are going to run two in SLI on air you will want to space them apart and not stack them on top of each other. Depending on the case a high RPM in-take fan will help the most for GPU's and I recommend the new Scythe Gentle Typhoon 5800RPM for the job.
Which case do you have? I will take a look and give you my opinion on cooling and setup.
I just don't get why your cpu temps are so high? I'm on air and those the temps I get on my i7 930. The cpu was lapped and my Cocage True Spirit was lapped as well. Getting 70C Intel Burn Test runs at 4.0Ghz @ 1.4V. If I get water cooling, i want to reduce my load temps by at least 10C. I'de suspect your cpu block of not performing that well. I plan to water cool my rig.
@a32938 - This is actually my PC, rock96200 is my friend and did the video for me. My temps are excellent, remember that I have a GTX 580 and a hot X58 NB/SB in the loop. When I just had the CPU cooled my temps were about 8-12C less. The temps I get now, 55C CPU and 70C on cores on a P95 Large FFT test are EXCELLENT for my OC and specific loop specs. Also, I am not sure why you need 1.4VCORE on a 4.0GHZ OC, I am able to run below 1.35v stable however I leave it at 1.35v just to be safe.
Speechless :) , i got a similar system but you just went nuts with the overclock then needing the water cooling. wow man nice work.if i over clock mine prob need water cooler aswell yer ??? give me some advice on over clock and also what is safe freq and speed blabla for processor and what should be normal temp on idle also tell me some shit about what type of cooling i should be using depending on how far i OC i would realy like to look into over clocking TY :)
