also i think Re-Take is 100% better then Neon Genesis Evangelion i found the series was bad but that manga is wonderful ...what can i say....i love i realy love it and that video was awesome the musik is beautiful XD i like it

...Without the original series, the story wouldn't even make any sense at all. I'm interested in how someone could like this but not even slightly enjoy EVA. I mean, the main story of RE-TAKE is directly drawn from story threads in the show. The characters are only really fleshed out if you know how they originally are, and even the love story is fully dependent on the character's personality development as they were in the movie and show.

i wish that somewhere down the line that anno would have/or still might decide to make this the official ending to the End of Eva. style series in anime rather than manga... but the manga was awesome all the same!

He won't. EoE lets you interpret what might happen after the events by yourself. However you want, just like how Re-Take made a very tasteful ending.

If you want to, you can even connect both doujins, picking up the story of both Shinji and Asuka from the Sea of LCL.

@Invincnerd Actually, Re-Take wouldn't exactly tie in with Epilogue, since at the end of Re-Take, the little girl exited the sea of LCL, implying that people could come back. However, during the entire year-long trip, Shinji and Asuka never encountered any people, and made no mention of the girl at all... But what the hey, it's a doujin.

@Invincnerd I didn't like Epilogue NEARLY as much as Retake. I feel like the writer threw out vital parts of both characters personalities when it was convenient to the plot. Not to mention both of them act like nothing's happened despite the fact that the entire human race perished a few hours ago.
