My PVR when I record is all very bright looking with the screen being much much whiter than on the ps3. Help I'm using the same cable as you.

@gorillabread I have this problem, my solution is every time i start eyetv it is bright. then i quit eyetv. open a different application called HdpvrCapture record for like 3 seconds, quit HDpvrCapture then eyetv seems to work just fine. Hope this helps, you can see the quality i get on my own channel and om me for more help - Ed

@FlachoOG thanks but I already figured out the problem. MY EyeTv was version 3.5.3 and the newer gaming version of HD PVR requires eyetv 3.5.4 so I just updated it and its fine.

I found another great solution that you don't even need to have a PC connection. When i am playing and get a clip and go back in time to save it the program only records after i hit the button to stop recording at the end of the clip and continues to the end of the timeline. Like it wont record what i want when i go back in time. Can you help?

@iGAMER6 eyetv only works with Macs. If you want one for windows vista, I suggest total media extreme. it should be the disc that came with your per. if you didn't receive it, I'm sure theres an installation program for it somewhere, just search it up.

@csmannenable It depends on what you're playing it on. If you're playing on the PS3, then yeah, you can. You just have to go to Settings in the PS3 menu and toy around with the Audio/Video. But you can't with the Xbox. Microsoft made it so you can't use an HDMI cable and AV/Component cable at the same time.

My problem as it currently stands is that the HDPVR while recording drops black screens entirely. This means that whenever a black screen occurs on-screen the HDPVR sort of goes into an idle state and resumes onces the black screen is gone.

This makes the audio go desynched when exported.

Any advice?, I use a HD PVR and EyeTV3 (3.5.1).
