  • Bet every one came out of there high as hell with all that smoke. Wish i could own one, closest i've gotten is E30 318i, E30 325es, E34 525i and my w124 300sd, maybe i should have put that engine in the318i. =P

  • Песдецц круто !

  • yeah i guess thats one way of fuckin it up...

  • Yes, ihr seid der Hammer ;-) der rote E30 318iS habe ich auch schon gesehen, gehört der auch noch zu euer DrifterTruppe?

Weiter so, und viel Spass ;-D

    gruzzzz aus der CH

  • I wonder how difficult it would be to import one of those to the US and register it with a smog legal 528e VIN.

  • Why would you do thet? You can just buy one one available in the us..

  • There are less than a thousand diesel BMWs in the US, all of them 524tds (not counting converted cars and ones that are snuck in) Diesel was not popular at all in the 80s in sports cars and still isn't. Americans like their silly gas engines.

  • Der Diesel Nutz!

  • are rear brakes not be working? after all I'm sure they aren't. by the way how are the cylhead and gasket? are they fine?

  • If that engine still works 100% it shows that not only do BMW make the Ultimate Driving Machine, but also the ultimate in indestuctable engines!

I mean the engine temperature guage was fit fit to hop off the scale becuase the engine was so hot! And the car is overdue a service too(red service lights!) Acutually the M21 seems to be a pretty indestructable beast look at some of the other videos with that engine and how they still kept going.

  • The engine is still the same as the E28 rolled out of the factory of Dingolfing back in 1986. After the Video it got a new finetuned cylinder head so it currently has 192HP and 395Nm.

A M21 is durable when you install a intercooler. Stock it has none so it is unsuitable for any sort of tuning.

  • it's for sure the rear brakes got burnt, so they don't work so efficiently as the normally used ones do. but it doesn't matter. by the way are the diesel M21 and petrol M20 engine blocks the same? I can imagine you and your car shocking other drivers in their supercars when you are taking over them on the autobahn :)

  • Of course they are working! Head gasket was blown already before this video after we tested performance @2,4bar boost pressure and estimated 250Hp. The engine then began to burn coolant whenever we operated it under full power on the Autobahn. It has been fixed the weekend after the video.

  • it's a diesel, diesels are a bit more durable than their gasoline equivalents.

  • No all they do(presumably) is set up the brakes so that they only work at the front that way much less damage is done to the car or brakes. You can mess around with the brake bias to do this.

Und stupidbychoice es heißt "Bimmer" nicht, sondern "Beamer" für unsere Europäer! Bimmer ist Amerikanisch, in Europa unsere Englishmuttersprachler heißen ihnen "Beemers"!

  • Nuhr Geil!

  • Is that engine still working after all the abuse you give it? The things you've done to that poor E28 are something else. Total super^^.

  • nutters LOL

  • varming up ?? hehe, how can you drift without any rubber left ?? btw, cool car! i have a e34 524Td, but not as fast as yours..

  • OMG 120 KM/H 0_o

  • Warum macht man sowas?

  • You've nice E28!!!
