Does anyone see what this could infringe on your rights. I mean look at the data that this is pulling in - you're disclosing information in which will allow you and everyone you know to be tracked across the globe. If you end up in a photo anywhere and it hits facebook they can pinpoint your location instantly. Try running from that in the hands of big brother. And with this facial recognition crap, you are automatically tagged or whatever. I don't think its right for them to point out, "that is so-and-so" in every picture, no matter who uploads them.
Here's a solution. Login to your account, click on Account, then Privacy Settings. Once you're in the Privacy Settings, click on customize settings, then scroll down until you see "Suggest photos of me to friends". To the right is the Edit Settings button. Click on that. A pop-up will show up on your screen. On the top right corner, click on the "Enabled" button if that option is enabled and click on disabled. I hope this helps you. If not, feel free to criticize me.

Lol, it only works with your friends list... as far as you are concerned. Facebook itself retains the ability to identify anyone among all its users in any photo it holds, and the ability to share, sell or disclose the facial fingerprints to anyone it chooses to or is coerced by.

Be aware that any such product you buy is highly likely to do far more information disclosure, either actively or on-demand, than you are told by its maker/seller. I've gotten several invites from people I haven't corresponded with in years, including my cat's vet. There's a lot more shady things going on at Facebook.

And with this facial recognition crap, you are automatically tagged or whatever. I don't think its right for them to point out, "that is so-and-so" in every picture, no matter who uploads them.

Here's a solution. Login to your account, click on Account, then Privacy Settings. Once you're in the Privacy Settings, click on customize settings, then scroll down until you see "Suggest photos of me to friends". To the right is the Edit Settings button. Click on that. A pop-up will show up on your screen. On the top right corner, click on the "Enabled" button if that option is enabled and click on disabled. I hope this helps you. If not, feel free to criticize me.

@theoriginalschool There's allot more to facebook than meets the eye(the frontend), The server side software has many functions - fuck knows what, they keep that private...
But there is no doubt, they have a massive "backend" that does all sorts of things with your data, compartmentalizing and analysing it... As well as archiving it.
As I said, It's worth allot of money to those willing to pay(government, intelligence agencies, corporations), They don't delete ANYTHING.

Maybe your account name is deleted from a database but they keep allot of other data, More than likely including facial recognition parameters, regional data for advertisers and anyone that wants to purchase data from them...
Where do you think facebook gets their money? They datamine, Data is extremely valuable to them, Facebook turns every bit you give them into cash, They're not going to go deleting anything.
