Awesome pixes of all these nice ''aeroplanes'' George you've taken.... as 1961 was the year I myself was so much interested into airplanes...who was born that year, BTW? Also, George...do you remember what you nicely did for me on 5/16/99...10 years ago on 5/16/09? Those awesome Tstorm tapes you did for me..the thunder, hail, tornado-warning sirens..can't believe it's been 10 years already....had YouTube existed back then, the very Tstorms would make for a super Tstorm video!!! MMWTO~~!
YASVVW, George.... BTW...did you ever get to see my 5/17/09-Tstorm video? I got a huge thunderclap seen after the bright flash seen at '' 02:25 ''... BTW..I was in the ER twice on 5/27 and 5/30--via ambulance......due to nasty bout of Lyme Disease... but feeling better by now..able to mow lawns again. One good way to ward off those ''feeling old'' blues, George..and that is to reminisce--it works wonders for me....since I can easily remember what went on in 1961 and even before!
There is apop rock group...called the ''B52s'' with big hits like ''Rock Lobster'' from 6/14/80....and more recently, ''Love Shack'' from November 1989--being their biggest hit...... and I like their July 1992-hit ''Good stuff'' perhaps you heard those tunes. ((notice the exact DATES...)))...and in May of 1965...there was a song titled ''Yeh yeh'' by Georgie Fame..that's right~~!!!
man those B52s are massive! What do you suppose they'd get to the gallon?
My brother Wayne and I went to the Smithsonian Air museum in Washington a few years back. We only had a few hours.. but you need all day. I really like air museums
Loring Air Force Base ( google it) was a huge base in Northern Maine which is only a few miles cross country from here,.. I live really close to the US border. Its closed now.. damn it.. but they used to have really cool air shows there, I miss it.
when my son and I were at camp in the U.P. of Mich, we'd go to Sawyer AFB open house and see bomb loading demos and watch thru the big transport of the time...blackbird flew once flew over a couple 400 knot passes...nice to see..at the Denver museum should you get there is a B1A and I have a vid of a visit to that place...big big big :)
Oh well, as it is uploaded already, I may just as well watch, as it is a topic of great interest to me.. :) The B52 is very impressive.. one day I'll probably model one, but it'll have to be in a smaller scale, like 1/144 or something!! :) Great video.. :)

They sure are. You mean gallons to the mile don't you?
I would love to go there. There is a real big air museum in western Kansas that I want to go to someday. It's 150 miles west of here.

Some real old stuff there. The 737 engine looks very slim - guess it is a pretty old version of it as I remember the engines are fatter nowadays.

There are some old planes there but the older ones are inside. I'll post a video soon. I'm not sure of the size of the engines of the 737.
