Right now "Pet Sounds" and "the Smile Sessions" are my favorite lps of any band. I always enjoy listening to them both. I'm glad Brian went way beyond the surfing, cars, and girl songs.
May I recommend the book 'A Pop Revolution, the transatlantic music scene 1965 to 1969' by the invisible man. The author is a big fan of this fine instrumental.
@Christopherforte considering Blackbird (i guess you're refering to the White Album) was released two years later, i would say Blackbird is the Beatle's Pet Sound.
I have totally been looking for this song for a few months now. Thanks for posting! LOVE this song! Takes me away to a tropical paradise. If you listen close to the song you can imagine island natives beating drums and jungle sounds at night. Cool video too. Like what you did with the pictures.
i listen close and imagine a hip early 60s lounge full of cigar smoke, champagne and women in diamonds... i get some of that tropical island thing too though! and then i read that this song was written for a james bond movie but they rejected it! so you can imagine this song is a spy movie!

Remember, folks, that Brian was 22 years old when he composed and produced this album.

Thanks I love this track but I never realised it was the Beach Boys, I'm gonna buy this album now. Sounds a bit Esquivel, viva Esquivel!
