So basically he said yes to the Police State question...move on people. Ofc we will have to police ourself, only avery-single-one can manage anything, earth, etc not a group of peoples who could abuse power just like the main state/goverment.
It might be one of the questions that are simple yet complicated to explain. Technology and solutions will be the force in the terms of control, If I've understood it correctly. If there is no money and everything is free, than crimes as we know them today would be extremely rare as it is pointless to steal. This also means that established laws would become obsolete as laws aren't solutions. With no laws a government would be obsolete as they can only declare war/ peace and dictate laws.
in a society where u can get anything for free there will be no theft cause nobody will need to take anything from anyone...you need a car?? you get a car...u need a bike?? u get a bike...u need a house??u get a house...there will be no money...it will need only health centers for the mentally ill people, which i guess will be very few..there is no need for prisons..so no need for police force or police state...
I know the principles, I also support them. But Mr. Fresco doesn't tell anything you said just now. The question startled him and he starts talking about something else. That's weird.
If you have seen a few of these lectures you will understand even though he is a brilliant man with ideas far ahead of his time he is in his 90's and going deaf. He doesn't avoid questions he misunderstands them because of the inferior hearing aid. Ironically if people has listened to him in 1974 technology in hearing aids would be so far advanced but instead they just spend money on wars and that stupid multi billion dollar Hydron Collider machine.
Jacque's answer for the first question is disappointing because he comes off with a rude tone saying that it is up to everyone else. What kind of person thinks up of all this stuff and then decides it's up to everyone else now when people need to know details about the technology?
i know its hard to understand, but it is up to us (the people of the world)1. is to get everyone or most everyone in the world that we want a better way of life. See with money this cant be done we most determine what are resources of the world are. Like where the best place to plants grow etc. He has a plan but will not give it up due to corruption even now people talk of him like his ploting for an nwo so time is how fast we come together as people u &i spreading the word around the world
Jacque says that he is not the savior here. he is working his whole life for that, and from what i see if he continues alone he will need 100 lifetimes to do it...if he works with 2 people he will need 50 lifetimes...if 6 billion people work together the venus project can be made the next morning...do u understand now what he means when he says its up to you to determine how fast the Venus Project can be made? so its up to us the people to spread the word and support the venus project now!!!
I will agree and say that Jacque Fresco has good ideas but he never gives a straight answer for people to have any hope or understanding on how the cities or economy can be changed. Most people want real straight forward answers not his life experiences. For example, if a question was asked on how long it would take to make a city, it should be answered with some kind of estimated time of completion like 10 years. I wonder if even some of the technology in the video can even be made.
The ideas he has are great ideas, but i'm sure he knows that together with great mind could come up with better ideas. like now we only make things to break how else can we survive in a monetary system. i also would like to have this city tommorow but we have to come together as people we have to get a friend on each hand and they get a friend on each hand that way it can get done today tomorrow not 10 years. i know its frustrating to get to a better humanity so its urgent to help spread the word

@ Mafkeesdejong
he makes you understand by giving you information.
you think he doesn't answer but a moment later you think "i got it on my own"... hehe.
it's a new way of replying a question, one with much less ego involved.

His point in the second question (which I love is) is: education brings change. So- let's all promote the education of these ideas.
