In 2010 I had honey blonde hair then dyed it to monroe blonde, to pink and to black and then I tried to make my hair blonde which didn't work until I made my hair back to Monroe blonde color. my ends are still Monroe blonde color but my roots are about 2-3 inches I think already of my real hair color which I've not seen in years. Anyways I'm trying to grow out my hair so it can grow again(I want my long hair again) & so I can dye it again. did I really kill my hair? what can I do??
@thinprincess87 It's hard to get really long hair when bleaching, unless you get highlights. The best thing you can do is to treat your hair well when you bleach. Try to not use much heat and apply good moisturising and protein masks.
my ends are always splitting like crazy because i have naturally curly hair and i usually need to use heat on it like everytime i wash it , do you know any good products to stop the ends from splitting? thank you :)
@rainbowtoads I'm not sure to be honest. I would think a good heat defence product and maybe a serum might help. I think getting regular cuts is the only thing that helps my hair.
My hair is damaged from a bleaching, and i want to bleach it again to white and dye it blue, but its damaged, when I wash it it get in like a ball and the end of the hair is like dry, I mean the whole hair is dry what should I do? Should I buy all the things you said?
@BunnyTragedy I wouldn't necessarily buy all the things. These were just products that worked for me over time. I would suggest a good protein treatment - lots of people like the Joico K-Pac treatment, or there are loads of others. I personally love the Redken Extreme Strength Builder masque.
@Riannah6222 Sorry for not replying sooner. You towel dry your hair and then pat/squeeze the product into your hair. If you go on the kerastase website they explain it really well :)
my hair was VERY over processed. I had to cut it short, & it's still partly damaged, but I'm getting it cut soon and might be getting hair extensions /: I'll try the olive oil for sure, though. thanks (:
My hair is currently bleach blonde but it's hard to keep up with the roots so i'd like to go a more natural blonde. I can see you have done so, i was wondering if yours was done by the hairdressers or did you do it yourself?x
@MizzBlondeX I get it done at the hairdresser. I get two shades of highlights put through, bleach and a permanant dye in no.10 3. I wouldn't say it looks that natural though..well not anymore. I think it looks darker in this video because I didn't have much pulled through to the ends. Maybe you could try highlights with a slightly darker second colour...but it depends on your natural colour.x
Interesting.......... Lots of useful info, thanks.........Sad to say, a few years ago I had everything you have described all in one shampoo and conditioner. It was Schwarzkopf Gliss for Coloured/Permed hair. Totally miraculous!!!! I only needed to wash my hair once a week, never became dry or greasy. The condition and volume of my hair was astonishing!!! Everyone I knew commented on how healthy, voluminous and long my hair was. Now I'm back to gaining advice on dry bleached hair. Sigh
Hey thanks 4 a great vid!! I like the bonacure one aswell- i can definately feel my hair getting stronger and thicker but the only problem is everytime i use it my hair seems to look really dry nd brittle :( hav u any idea for what you could use after it as a moisture leave in?? or any tips to recommend?? :)
@Danikkapopalika Sorry for the late reply. I would say to just use a good leave in conditioner. I like It's a ten and Kerastase Nectar thermique. Any moisturising leave in product should work fairly well.
@katey0787 thanks ill definately try the kerastase Nectar thermique as ive heard a lot of people saying that its a ten breaks them out!! lol uve mentioned a lot of great products im currently trying some different ones myself- trying to seee what works best 4 me!! :) still love the bonacure one for a protien one tho- mite be buying the Lee Stafford hair growth one today to see how it goes!
redken antisnap is also a leave in, and its not a spray. I use antisnap as a leavein proteine treatment. Also leave ins are proteine or moisture based, the art of it all is to find the perfect balance for yourself between moisture and proteine. I use antisnap when i dont have time to do a proteine reconstructing treatment (by joico) cuz after this my hair needs a moisture deep condition and before it a shampoo and a claryfying treatment, so it a lot of work.
Squeeze the Dumb Blond into a different container when you first buy it. Voila, no degenerating package and no silvery bits in your hair and shower. :)
thanks for this! ive bleached black dye out of my hair sucessfully lots of times but this last time i literally have bleached my hair at least 7 times and its still not out and my hair is completely fried (trying to get silver/grey hair) and so i have on the aussie 3 minute miracle right now cuz im gona bleach it again later today lol its already fried might as well make it a decent color
Can you use the Dumb Blonde protein treatment on hair that is not blonde, but damaged? I would like to try it but afraid it may change my hair color or something. I'm currently trying to revive my hair from an accident! Thank you!
@DeeDeeLovesYou112410 How did it go? Did you dye your hair purple? I think when it comes to dying your hair, it's only bleach that can really cause your hair to fall out. Have you tried using a semi permanant - they're much less damaging!
I really enjoyed this video, i'm in beauty school myself and I have to watch youtube videos a lot because my instructors just give you the basics and make you learn everything on your own. I've always been able to take my hair through many stages but this year when i went from dark brown to blonde I severely damaged it. I have tried many products and nothing has seemed to work so i plan on trying some that you have mentioned! I really hope it helps.
@CarnivalExpress That's the same sort of thing that happened to me...my hair seemed ok when I dyed it in the past, but this time it was just too much. I hope these tips help you :)
I am considering bleaching my hair, so thanks for the video, it was very helpful.
And just as a side note, that hairdresser of your was wrong: olive oil and coconut oil are two of the few oils that have the ability to penetrate the hair, so it doesn't matter if you wash it out, just like you noticed.
@CharlieKatie18 Oh yeah I've been meaning to try them..but there are so many products on the market that it takes ages to get around to trying things.x
@katey0787 Yeea i know what you mean tried quite a few too after years of bleaching but still got a few to try out! i agree the schwarzcopf one is good
wow i was on twitter and i found out your channel its marvelous keep it up and broadcast..on your videos..i will recommend it for my friends..wow!..keep it to the skies..nice nice..its..wowwowo..good
I think that's pretty good lighting. The secret is that you need light from both sides of your face and maybe a little right behind the camera. Anyway, lovely video sweetie. You're too adorable. May I take your accent? K thanks! ;) x
When I wash and condition its super soft at first then it gets rough then wet and oily feeling and looking. And some knots my hair isn't ven that long. Its been highlighted for few months. Ive gone up and black between that and black. It's especially worse in summer. Any ideas?
@SenxOfFemur If your hair is quite rough feeling I would suggest using a good treatment at least once a week to help get your hair back into better coniditon. If you get lots of knots, perhaps try a leave-in conditioner on the lengths of your hair. When you say it gets wet and oily looking..how long does it take for this to happen? Perhaps you're putting conditioner too near the roots of your hair.x
@katey0787 well usually within the week it would or a little sooner when its hot out but anymore it seems a day or two and I stopped over washing and conditioning my hair a long time ago
Love this video - I like hearing what other blondes use :)
I've been blonde my whole life - apart from one brunette period as a teen which was AWFUL eek - so can't say I've really experienced extremely damaged hair. But as you know, being a blonde takes it toll on the hair and has to be looked after so I'm always on the lookout for new things :) x
@lydiaoc26 Thank you! I'm always on the hunt for new products as well. At the moment I'm looking for something that will make my hair really shiny but not greasy.xx

You have to find a balance with protein and moister, too much protein it will break off, too much moister and it'll be all oily.
