My favorite TV comedy when I was young! They don't make 'em like this anymore! For my money, the funniest opening credit sequence ever made. The humor is pure Mel Brooks, arguably the funniest man on the planet! Buck Henry is no slouch either! This clip shows why the recent remake of Get Smart as a movie was so hideously off the mark!

I think that the old show is better than the "remake" movie. Everything they "remake" into a movie usually isn't as good or sucks. Then, you've got the whole issue with people who've never heard of the show! The show is better by far, if you like'd the movie, watch the show, it's worth your time and get a good laugh out of the ORGINAL Get Smart.

It's not a bullet - they don't use real bullets in tv and movies - I think it's because the actors don't like being dead very much!

They use "sqibbs", which are small explosive devices that simulate bullet hits, what you saw was the squibb exploding and a small part of the crate being broken off.

All I have to say both Don Adams and Steve Carell are funny for his time Don Adams was hilirious honestly I like the original series, but I also like the movie. You can't really compare both of them because they are funny in their own seperate way. Really both are/were talented.

I purchased all 5 seasons of Get Smart on DVD from a guy on EBay for $45. They're recorded directly from his TV, and granted they're not DVD quality, but they're still pretty good, ALL the episodes are present, and I didn't pay that outrageous Time-Life price of $200! Good enough for me, and the price was right. GREAT SHOW!!
