  • just bought one in faded cherry, amazing bass, light weight, amazing neck and feel. Great sounding pickups. All quality wood, parts and case. I can't put the bugger down, i'll have to see if it will out performs my American standard P bass???

  • Stunning

  • You look like David Gilmore. Immediate like!

  • There's really nothing I enjoy from this bass (but hey, that's just me) ... I'd rather have one of the squier vintage series

  • that toasty nutty...

  • The neck is glued in, it is not a neck through design!

  • hey , bass sounds brilliant , but because of the short scale , would it not be difficult to down tune? i play in drop B with my band , so am unsure if it would work out

  • wow, you have the greatest job in the world,

i can only imagine turning up to work in the morning and having a brand new gibson bass to test run, then a rickenbaker 4003 in the afternoon !!! jeazooooo !!!

as we say up here in scotland.... "Gie ez a Job man"

  • Sweet video! I only ever wanted the vintage EB-3's because they had that special Gibson tone...but I see the reissue is not as lost as I thought at all! Sounds like it's got some grooving goodness in it :)

  • Why it leaves the factory with roundwound strings escapes me. Gibson shortscales traditionally have flatwounds. First thing I did is put flats on mine. Check my featured vid for how thick and creamy the SG can sound when properly set up and amplified.

  • is it way betther than the Fender American Standart Jazz Bass? cause they are around 1300 bucks

  • @bemolable not even close to a jazz bass.

A fender it's always the best choice XD

  • gives me a funny feelin' in the stomach...in a good way :)

  • awsome bass but i life in holland how can i order this bass here in holland?

    (sorry for my bad english)

  • @RounDeX

    Hello!

Cool that you're going to buy this bass. I'm going to get mine next week too. You can go to Tonika in Groningen, but if you live near Germany, it's easy to go to the musicstore in Keulen, or Thomann. Or just order it on the internet (; Hope i've helped a little..

  • i thought it was a set neck not a neck through :/

  • what kinda amp is it pluged in?

  • bridge sounds like fart, very funny

    i like it

  • why don't they make the classic 4 pots and chickenhead switch anymore

  • @almudjk

    Exactly what I think

  • i heard the electronics on this arent that different from the epiphone version , thats probabaly saying good about the epiphone rather than saying bad about the gibson tho , cool looking bass tho

  • @lgmk55

this sounds way better then the epiphone

    sounds great

  • hmm... apparently we can't say anything bad about this bass or our comments get deleted?

  • @xPsuedo Useful objective comments are always welcome dude.

  • rak n rol 2:52

  • that dude is so cool, he just handles a bass like that like it's just a toy...haha! my fave bass right there! :D

  • New take on an EB-3 from bygone era - kewl

  • The black SG bass looks like something batman would play if he were a bassist.

  • @lennonmccartneybeat and plays... batmaaaaaaaaaan

  • @lennonmccartneybeat batman is a bassist ;) and so is darth vader :P

  • your bass guys the shit!
