i remember on my first computer, a 486sx with windows 3.1 and ms-dos, I had a demo cd with 'realistic 3d simulation', and it was a pointy wireframe terrain with 16 color 'textures' pasted on and a stick figure plane running at a stunning 5 frames per second.

You can use a Stage object to switch between camera's.
