  • I heard the other version of this song you did lamenting the changes in "9 Chickweed Lane", and I was wondering, "Does she write and record a heart-wrenching Broadway blockbuster everytime she stops reading a comic strip?" Then I saw the link to this one. Beautifully done in both cases. This song really fits you. Makes me curious about this "Chess" musical that it's from.

  • What a fabulous rendition! I don't even know you, but I would strongly urge you to pursue professional singing.

That was really great. I also love the musical, "Chess". I just recorded 3 selections from it (see my channel).

My best to you. - Joe

  • You sing beautifully ... great job!

  • Another lovely rendition of beautiful music. Saw from other comments that you're self-conscious about your nostrils. I didn't even notice that -- I was too mesmerized by your angelic voice and pretty little face. Keep up the great work!

  • Haha, thanks! The nostril thing was mainly a joke (sort of). I didn't realize until after I shot the video that balancing my laptop on my lap and looking down at it was going to cause the camera to look right up my nostrils. :) So of course I had to make a self-deprecating comment about it. Thanks for liking the video anyway!

  • sweetest voice of yours thanks for sharing this nice song, YOU make it nice. Thanks.

    mannu from spain.

  • very nice job indeed. I really like this musical as well and this is one of the lovely ballads ever written.

  • Thanks! I agree...and "Heaven Help My Heart" is wonderful too. No one does "bittersweet" quite like Tim Rice. ;)

  • WOW you are really really good! I wish i could sing like you :(

  • Its Beautiful. 5th time I return to this video now sigh.

  • Thank you so much...I hope you continue to enjoy it!

  • I THOUGHT YOU WERE MY VOICE TEACHER FOR A SECOND O.o

but then i realized that her hair's a darker color lol :]

  • You (and your nostrils) still look and sound great. Well, your nostrils don't sound like anything.. they just change the sound... I'll stop this awkward comment right he

  • LOL!! You crack me up, Niall. :D

  • OMG! I've never heard this song before...it's so me! And we love your voice. So sweet. Thanks for sharing this on an impulse.

  • Yay! I'm really glad you liked it. It is a great song (also check out "Heaven Help My Heart" from the same musical...another amazing ballad!)

  • Wow.

I had to return for more

and this is just as wonderful and entrancing now

as the first time I head it.

You've really got a gift, Molly.

  • Thank you so much, Shas!

I do wish I'd put the laptop on something higher and more stable, though. Quite apart from the rocking back and forth, every time I watch this video I want to retitle it "Someone Else's Story, Co-Starring Molly's Nostrils." :)

  • Ha!

I felt exactly the same about a couple of mine.

    Others never commented, though,

and I never noticed it on yours.

    Until you wrote that.

    Hmm,

maybe you want to delete that comment ;=)

  • Wonderful! Do some more, please?

  • I'm workin' on it! Thanks! :)

  • You have a lovely voice, Molly.

So true and pure and warm and strong.

I don't seem to have heard of ANY of the songs you sing

but I am thoroughly enjoying the education!

    5 stars

    *standing, throwing roses, wild applause*

  • Hehe...yup, it's lonely out here in theatre geek-harpist-political satirist-land. ;)

    Thanks again!

  • well done! so nice

  • your voice is amazing!!!

  • Thanks so much! :D

  • So of course the sound take is what it is (spontaneous recording, you said?) but even so, this sounds like professional singing. You would benefit from a bit of effects and from a decent soundtrack, but this is in tune, and I can't find anything much to complain about the interpretation. Good job.

  • Thanks! I do sing professionally, though not in musical theatre anymore. I did get a Bachelor's degree in MT, and then decided my talents were more suited for other genres. ;)

  • very nice, your voice is perfect for your age. with age your voice will mature more, and it will be flawless. =]

  • Hehe...well, truth be told, I'm 33! :D but I did the video sort of spontaneously, and didn't properly warm up beforehand. My bad! (and yes, I am a soprano from hell, and it's a little low for me!) Anyway, thanks!

  • i come to listen to professional performance and didnt like it. their voice is too rude. strong, but not good for this song. so thank u, i will better listen to ur singing :)

  • Wow, thank you! I'm really glad you liked it.

  • where did u get the backing track for this? im looking everywhere for it

    x

  • I got it from iTunes, actually. They had quite a bit of Chess karaoke stuff. :)

  • Thank you so much! :)

  • Bravo! Your delivery and Voice were perfect for this song.
