And though at first I sort of agreed with the Journey purists who kept commenting that AP is karaoke and sings in a lower key. However, after these multiple comparisons, I gotta tell ya' AP actually sings in a higher key and with more clarity than SP did in his prime. And Arnel is aged 42. Bottom line AP has def renewed Journey!

glad AP's vocals improved from this one.. must be because he (was) new and the pressures on to sound like SP so inadvertently straining to sound like SP like what he did covering other bands from his previous youtube videos.. in their new Eclipse album however, it's clean and smooth but it has that distinct rock edge sound.. go search some of it.

glad AP's vocals improved from this one.. must be because he (was) new and the pressures on to sound like SP so inadvertently straining to sound like SP like what he did covering other bands from his previous youtube videos.. in their new Eclipse album however, it's clean and smooth but it has that distinct rock edge sound.. go search some of it.

If the band didn't think Arnel Pineda was worth having, they wouldn't have choose him. If you hadn't told me it was a new singer, I wouldn't have known the difference to tell you the truth, I think Arnel is very good, so those who don't like him piss off!
