  • A god! Thanks for everything, you should last at least 200 years!

    Congratulations from Portugal. I have a 1978 W123

  • I'm thinking about buying a 240 or 300d sometime in the future, so I'm doing my research before hand to see what I'm in store for. You learn about a particular car and learn about it inside out (mine being Volvo 240's).

Just wanted to compliment you on the great video's you have. Very informational!

  • nice video! ive got a -83 240D but has no problem with the vacuum locks, just noticed a bit of delay for the rear left door (locks last) to go down but only like a few seconds.. they are as good as bulletproof these cars, gotta love´em!!

  • hi i have some question. my w123 200 always fail of tuning co.

every time i top up full tank of petrol early morning difficult to start up the engine. if the engine start running will come a bit black smoke.let the car warm up 2min then ok and smooth. if the petrol less very easy to start the engine .

  • I have a 1998 ml320 and the door locks will not pop up with the key. The remote is lost. If you close the door it is always locked. To open the lock I have to insert the key and hold tension on it and open the door handlel. If the key is in the car and I close the door then I"m fu__ed. Got any ideas what it is. Are these vacuum actuated??

  • thank you

  • I run my w123 on used sunflower oil, there's no difference with gas-oil

  • Smoke machine is your best friend when I look at vac sys issues.

  • Thanks ken, my driver side is not working...but it will soon:)

  • verry helpful

  • i have vw polo, the problem is that the door locks cannot unlock all doors and the central locking pump operates around 20 sec. Finally, i found it in the fuel filler cap broken leaking vacuum switch.

  • Kent:

Thank you for all your help, I used your manuals to adjust the valve clearance in my 300d and know i see the difference !!!

    Excellent video,

  • Great video! I also recommend Kent's manuals.

  • I appreciate any information dealing with the 123's, i have one and love it!! But, without help from guy's like you/ i would have a sore head from beating it on the wall! and / or anything harder!! haha!

i look forward to seeing more of these video's and purchasing all of your manuals, thanks a lot!! :)

  • good video! question...when I lock the driver's door, the other door locks take about 2 seconds to go down. is this about the right amount of time?

btw, i have spent over well over $1000 with mercedessourcedotcom for parts and my 123 is now tip-top. the $'s i have saved and Kent's instrux manuals are VERY worth it, as i wouldn't have been able to afford to keep the car on the road as my daily driver otherwise. thanks kent!

  • @nhojcam Yes there is normally a delay.

  • Awesome video!!

  • This is fantastic! I hope you keep it up. (My door locks work again. The problem was a disconnected line at the post just where you found yours.)
