  • OLE!!!!!!!!! buenisimo, no hubiera conseguido sacarlo sin tu ayuda, GRACIASSS amigo

  • uuu this is goood . this is really good ! tnx bro ! RNR

  • By far the best video showing how to do it. Accurate and effective (actuallly sounds better than the official transcription which I wasted hours on...).

  • it's very hard to play this using Martin's Dreadnought.. Y_Y

  • Marty Swartz does the slide lick on twelth fret!

  • Excellent attention to detail, you catch the groove. Best on Utube fo sho

  • good tutorial and awsome playing!!!

i think this is a bit hard for me but i'll do my best

  • Great job. Have been looking for a video like this to get the phrasing right and yours really helped. Have you considered doing `Before you accuse me` as I would love to learn this properly. many thanks.

  • one of the best teacher maaannn!!!! thank's from Greece!

  • hey man, awesome tutorial, I really like how you show which notes to emphasis on. I am learning alot! thank you!!

  • great

  • Bravo, c'est clair, bien joué et bien filmé ...Nickel !!!

  • hey bro, great video but wheres part 2?

  • @mikevan12975 hey mikevan you should be able to find it on the right under "related videos" or under uploads on my page

  • your tutorials are great mate. got the 1st solo off up to speed. time for this one. i use your vids along with original recording of the songs coz i just ain't got the time to do them totally by ear. if you play electric-how about eric's Cocaine solo..? i need to nail that.

  • thanks man, glad to hear you're enjoying the tutorials. i actually don't have an electric with me at university, but i might be able to pull it off on acoustic, we'll see ;) take it easy

  • perfect, thanks you very much for yours explanations!

  • you're welcome ;)

  • Great job. Problem for me is that my tab was incorrect GRRRRRRRRR so I could use a tab for this soo if you have it. I almost have it down but its hard transcribing from videos

  • Excellent again. Got the first part of this. Something that might help people flow the "sprawl" part: After doing the 6 chords and the very first part of the sprawl with your first finger anchored on the 8th fret, you go to the 12th fret/4th string with your 4th finger. I found that if I fully switch positions hitting the 12th with my third finger, it set the position for the next part staying anchored there (1st anchored on the 10th) On to part 2 :D.

  • thanks for the tip, i added it to the description, hope you don't mind ;)

  • @JackFFR1846 I find that if you play the sprawl alternatively like this B-12/13--13-13 G-13/14--14-14 (x6)

then your second finger is immediately positioned correctly to go into that really nice bluesy lick straight after

  • dude this tutorial kicks so much ass. you teach them well, i've learned the entire solo after watching them a handful of times each. awesome! the only critique i would give is try to be a bit slower at certain points, but really its not a huge deal.

as for requests...tears in heaven? :)

keep up the great work my man!

  • thanks, i'm glad you were able to learn the solos from my tutorial. i agree with you, it would definitely help to slow it down even more at some parts, but different people struggle with different sections, so its tough for me to decide where i should spend more time... the good thing is that its a video so you can always rewind if you need to!

tears in heaven is definitely doable - really fun song to play. as soon as i get a break from my schoolwork i'll post a tutorial for it.

  • Thats Amazing thanks i could never figure out this solo

  • no problem, i'm glad it helped.

  • Are you planning to post more Solo tutorials?

Because I'm trying to find the solo from Eric Clapton's Old Love.

  • hehe i'll take a look at it... i could learn if i put some good hours in but it's a very loose rhythm so i'm not sure how long it would take to really internalize the timing so that i could play it slowed down. we'll see.

  • Nicely done!

I stumbled across your "solo 1" video yesterday and then spent hours trying to find a tutorial for the second solo, to no avail.

So thanks for posting this one, Im sure as this has more meat to it I'll be spending a good few hours trying to get it down.

    Keep them coming dude!

  • no problem man - i was shocked at how so many of the people giving lessons on these layla solos couldn't play the solo correctly themselves... so i figured i might as well post some tutorials. glad it helped!

i'll definitely keep them coming - if you have any requests, let me know.

    rock on!

  • F*cking Awesome I just learned the 1st solo and now this one. but this is mutch more diffeculd. And what is downB?

  • yes this one is more difficult indeed, but so much cooler! as to your question, "what is downB?" i;m assuming youre referring to the chord "Bb," also called "B flat." starting on A string and going all the way up to the high e string, you play frets 1, 3, 3, 3, 1 respectively.

  • Owh Like that. Thanks. And now i'm going to practice.

    Greating from Holland
