@sabtahi13 You are a good playing, but the Voodoo Vibe thing you use all the time is just dreadful sometimes. Jimi used univibe during stuff like machine gun, but it isn't nearly as heavy as that. It's just too much.
hey dude, not to bash ur playing, ur great... im a jimi fanatik like u..
just back off the effects all the time. i like the warmth of the bridge pickup an a little wah. too much effect an gain really take from the tonal quality of Jimi's tunes.. but rock on!
Maybe you can learn to express yourself better without coming across as a know-it-all. Don't SHOUT, don't abbreviate wrds, and for the Love of all you Worship, learn to type slowly so that anyone can understand your thoughts, as misguided as they seem to be. Are you really 29 years old? Who do you hang out with, musicians or teenagers? As for me, I sound just like ME, and there hasn't been anyone that even comes close to Jimi Hendrix' inventiveness and musical exploration since his death. CYA!
@sabtahi13 really nice job mate!! well done , but yeah just too much effect for me but still a dam site better than i could do but im gonna try and learn it next couple of days :)
Maybe you should just say nothing and quietly go away. Are you really this uneducated that it takes 15 minutes to figure out what you type or are you just honestly stupid?
It's kind of hard to decypher your English.(Assuming this is English.)Sense you probably speak like this, you probably think this is correct spelling. Go back to the ghetto where you learned this moronic way of conversing. Your probably some Jack-ass skateboarder that wears his pants below the butt and thinks he's hip. i'm sure you'll go a long way in life.
I appreciate your enthusiasm, misguided as it is, but understand that James Marshall Hendrix didn't know a phrygian scale from a hole in the ground... He played this song from the heart, he played it in A, and I have so many live versions that you will never hear that it hurts me. Your attitude is the most arrogant one that I have encountered for someone so lacking in a basic knowledge of what Jimi represented. I am hoping that you can unravel the paradigm that was his playing, and show us all!
what i do mind is your moronic responses posted on every version of this song on youtube.
shut the fuck up, go listen to jimi, as he's the only person who plays it like jimi...other than go fuck yourself and stop posting crap on other peoples covers of this song you idiot..
this loser PAUL0309 has gone through every "hey baby" video on youtube and put these comments on...get a life paul.....and get off the internet you wanker
good playing dude... what sound effect did you use? i think the sound could be even better. sounds like a tremolo effect to me.. it is a bit too harsh for the song in my opinion. i am after the original sound, which is absolutely amazing.. any of you guys have good pedals to emulate the univibe of hendrix?
Long Hot Summer's Night still eludes my rather modest abilities... The intro is awesome, belying the blues background it is built on. I do a little of Bold As Love, but it is mostly jamming it in the video.
Ive never heard the jimmi version but I absolutely love the temple of the dog version...this song is my favourite hendrix song. thanks i was able to learn this song
Hey let me ask you for help.. when Jimi writes these songs, like this or Little wing, is he playing around in the same scale patten or key, or does he mix it up..I need help.. does he play around the key of the chord he is on in pentatonic?? Great job!!! Thanks
I couldn't tell you what method Jimi was using, but I *believe* he would hear the melodies in his head, and try to translate them to the guitar... Jim Peterik told me if the melody is memorable, the song will fall into place. So, melody, chords, lyric would be one way to go. Be creative!
I still belive he has a basis for his initial note choices because it looks like he sticks to the key of e min on little wing but plays the scale of e closest to the chord he is playing or just played.
Yeah, I know... I Really *do* rely too much on my effects chain. I love the sound of overdriven amps, but my ears are ringing all the time, heh, heh! Thanks for the constructive criticism!
too much reverb!
