Big Splashes And Waves ! Blackpool Archives : 1995

How often does Blackpool get battered by waves like this? What weather conditions are necessary for this so I can keep my eyes peeled on the weather and take the trip up the M6 to witness this. Immense! Love it!!!

@polopowered .. today would have been a real good day - lol - about gale 8/9 - .. and to answer your question : there is no telling when we get hammered , as the met office get it wrong 90 % of the time. Also of course it needs a real high tide to make it spectacular !

1995 i was 1year old lived in halifax a year later moved to blackpool , lived there eversince, and to be honest they have new sea defence but its still not working

i think blackpool will need to get a bigger wall soon lol...but its just how i remember it to cos i lived there for 5years...must say thou i still love blackpool..and some of my famliy still live there so i still go there time to time.summer time is ace at blackpool...
