  • So say we all.

  • what I love is that this is actually Apollo's music, it plays several different times throughout the series every time Apollo does something interesting

  • @MadKingRon I'd say it's more Apollo and Adama's theme, it always plays when there's a touching moment between them both and it is a beautiful piece.

  • this should be made the Earth anthem

  • So say we all....

  • What do you hear, Starbuck?

    Nothing but the rain sir,

Grab your gun and bring the cat in!

  • I have so many emotions right now.

  • @jcboysha

    SO SAY WE ALL!

  • play this at my funeral!

  • This music would be perfect for a video tribute to the men and women of the US Armed Forces and law enforcement agencies, especially for those who put the uniform on, but were unable to return home to take it off.

  • So say we all.

  • Get your ass back to your Viper Apollo! Move your lazy ass from the frackin´ desk!!!

    SO SAY WE ALL???

  • @ADHSkind So Say We All!

  • @ADHSkind I say... I say... I say you have no likes to that comment...

but then again, neither does Spacegeeks3.

  • 4 people are cylons.

  • So Say We All!

  • That makes me cry. I want to hear it at my funeral.

  • i just finished the show... i'll go purchase it in dvd and watch it again and again till i'll memorise each moment :'(((

  • @lostsoulindestiny Me too! Finished the series two weeks ago on hulu, box set arrived on my doorstep yesterday and I've already started the rewatch. Not to mention listening to the soundtracks over and over.....

  • I love Battlestar galactica.. I will miss you, I will Watch the series more then once i promise..

One cool thing is, there is a new Serie Based on the same thing, Called "Caprica" (dont know if its new but i just found it"

  • @Aincare Caprica was something interesting, different style than galactica. It only lasted one season, and I believe only the Canadians got to see the whole season. It was good though.

  • Whoever hit the dislike button were frakin' cylons!

  • I think this was played at the bit when Apollo was getting set to leave Galactica for good and the crew met him in the hangar deck to wish him farewell.

  • wat part was this played at

  • While I was disappointed that Apollo went all Lawyer and stuff I still liked him.

  • i forgot when was this played?

  • 3 people got no love or idea wot beauty is

  • I will forever maintain that Bear McCreary and Howard Shore are the best composers the 12 colonies...I mean Middle Earth...I mean Earth...I mean the world HAS EVER HEARD

  • @avienda101 Don't forget Hans Zimmer,he's one of the best composers too.

  • @ErrorJIC Also Tan Dun who did the score from Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon is extrodinary.

  • @avienda101 You gotta add James Horner in there. You definatly hear his influence in Bears Music. James and Bear are my two favorite Composers

  • @avienda101

burn me but I'd put James Newton Howard up there too, mainly for his 'King Kong' score.

  • This song is like a combination of Gaelic/Celtic and American frontier-style.

  • @FurorVikingorum and the chanter, flute, and a drum

  • Three Cavils disliked this

  • Bear McCreary: you deserve a fraking medal for creating such songs that will even make god weep and the manliest of men feel!!

  • "Thus be it ever, when freemen stand between their loved home and the war's desolation."

  • @Gracie0935 "Blest with vic'try and peace, may the Heaven rescued land Praise the power that hath made and preserved us a nation."

  • @KNS1996DFS

    So say we all.

  • Two people, the two who disliked this, have never sent someone off. Have never stood and watched a loved one leave, or die. Have never understood what it means to be human. Have never turned around to realize that someone is never coming back, for better or worse. The two who disliked this have never wished someone a fond farewell.

We are human, we live with love, and loss, and joy, and sadness, comfort and fear. And that's exactly what separates us from the machines.

    So Say We All!

  • @jcboysha they probably accidentally did it ... and now feel like idiots

  • @jcboysha

just because it isnt the love and fear youre used to or can even understand doesnt make it any less than what we experience. you are human, a product of nature, as are machines. our emotions are our programming, the same as a bee's or panda's or even a machines, if it is designed with such. i imagine what we experience as love and happiness or even sadness, one day a machine will have a similar feeling, and i would not belittle such things if i were you.

  • @jcboysha So say we all !

  • @jcboysha frakking right words! :)

  • @jcboysha god you are way too right. i have full respect for you. LONG LIVE THE HUMANS!

  • I would nominate Bear McCreary for godhood, but some cylon misplaced the administrative forms. Frak it.

  • Best version. Love the drums.

  • such a great song !

  • I wan't this song played at my funeral.

  • 1:24 - 2:05 Is so damn pretty

  • anybody that says they dont like the song's is a basterd and sould keep their opinons to them self's

  • j'adore

  • song rocks

  • There are 2 individuals who are Cylon.

  • I own all battlestar music as a result of this song. After the first "whistle and bagpipe" song of the show I always looked forward to when it would show up again.. I wasn't prepared for the power of this version.

I played this through my ipod when my family and I bid farewell to my brother as he left to serve a mission for our church. It was perfect.

    You da man, Bear!

  • Lee my love!

I have to say that ending was not what I had envisioned for him at all :( , he deserved better.

  • I get roped into watching these shows on netflix but I try to tell myself I'm not a nerd until a song like this really gets to me. It perfectly conveys the love a father and son share. Just sublime...

  • @blackgetarman same! at a certain point you're like, who gives a frak about being a nerd? it's about being a human being :)

  • I love this track. I love this series. I love the cast and especially my favourite Starbuck

  • What do you hear?

A real fan of battlestar galactica would know what to answer to this question

  • @tandrup0 Nothing but the rain.

  • @Vesperal21 Then grab your gun and bring in the cat

  • @tandrup0

    Boom boom boom

  • @tandrup0 Wilco sir

  • @tandrup0 nothin' but the rain!

  • @tandrup0 Nothing but the rain!

  • @tandrup0 Starbuck: nothing but the rain.

Adama: So grab your gun and bring in the cat.

  • The two individuals that clicked dislike either did it accidentally, or they have never experienced having a heart.

  • @MultiFraggles They have programming, not emotions.

  • @MultiFraggles

Or need to be thrown out the nearest airlock?

  • @f14aplusfl Definitely the airlock...

  • @MultiFraggles

The third person fainted and bumped the mouse.

  • If I were a cylon, this song would definitely push me to humanity's side. Love it!

  • Galactica.... The Best Damn Ship In The Fleet!

  • So say we all

  • Two Frakkin' Cylons!!!!!!

  • @CrypticWatcher Or one frakkin' cylon and Gaius Fracking Baltar!

  • "Well, it looks like you got the house."

  • I played wander my friends too when we left the church at my wedding

  • I played wander my friends when we left the church at my wedding

  • This piece has the ability to incite emotion like none other. And more composers need to start incorporating pipes, in everything, like now.

  • so say we all

  • SO SAY WE ALL

  • Would love to have this play at my Wedding, think its a little to upbeat for the funeral mind. Maybe Admiral and Commander for a funeral, but even then this general theme lifts me up a bit whenever i hear it, although that could be argued to be exactly what you need at a funeral

  • most definitely gonna be played at my funeral.

  • @BlackjackATL Same here!, before it was gona be Leave no man behind from Blackhawk down, this has taken that place!

  • Well, we should assume that the raptors still did work, allowing for people to transport from one place to another, at least from the time being. We have to remember that everyone who survived all four years just experienced one of the most traumatic experiences imaginaeable, and as such, I can at least with be in agreement with the need to start over. I imagine Lee and Adama did indeed might up again, but I believe Adama needed his time to grieve over the loss of Roslin.

  • Love it! And Congratz with 27 000 views Surf Compton!

  • i love bears music but is it just me or does all these songs sound just like wander my friends?

  • @bjornjoseph There are some songs that have a main theme, and they vary from it, but I dig it all the same.

  • @bjornjoseph

Well most of them are varients of Wander my friends and Admiral and Commander, but i consider those themes to be the BSG main show theme. Love it every time i hear it, good that it gets mixed around a bit

  • when i listen to this i want to go fishing with my father yeah that sounds good

  • Of all the main characters, Lee's was the most tragic. He almost always did the right thing but in the end everyone left him. Starbuck dissapeared, Adama and Roslin took off on their own, leaving him with nothing and no one. It was kind of depressing. Anyone else have a more positive insight on his ending?

  • @flockofseagulls87 No. I still don't understand why adama left, or what starbuck even was.

  • @Ralroost Starbuck was what 'in head Number 6' was to Baltar. She was just sent to help.

She literally died in the end of season 3. But God's plan for her was not finished, so he sent her back to help as an 'angel' so to speak.

  • @flockofseagulls87 Lee was always tied down and always felt like he had to do it, and when it was over, he felt realived, he felt at home :)

  • @flockofseagulls87 what about chief??

  • @flockofseagulls87 Remember Pythia? :)"All this has happened before. All this will happen again." In other words who is to claim that after 150 000 years all of the Galactica's crew wont be reborn again and Colonial fleet rebuilt? I doubt that there is a single species in the Universe keeping records of its population for the past 150 000 years :) And Starbuck... Well shes just a messenger that's stuck with the job to ensure that the circle id closed.

  • Just beutiful!

  • It's a little sad when you think that Lee never set foot in a Viper ever again. I'd have liked to see him lead the squadron in the battle with the Colony, but I guess it made more sense from a writing standpoint to have him in the middle of the episode's action.

    ...Still. D:

  • oh, and I want this played at my funeral, for sure.

  • I like when the beginning of this song plays when saul and bill are drinking to Galactica.

  • did anyone find it interesting that we never got to see Laura/Lee say goodbye in that scene face to face? I always wondered if there was some reason for that. I mean they did have a significant relationship if for no other reason than through Laura Lee got to defy his Father over and over LOL "he's your son" "he's your military adviser!" and then of course what Lee did to Laura during the Baltar trial. GREATEST SHOW EVER!

  • As I have been watching this whole series from the beginning, it has dawned on me how courageous the pilots were. Leading the fleet through the radiation field to the Algae Planet. Kat sacrificed herself for the good of a civilian ship.

  • I can't imagine what giving up your wings would be like. I mean, that's it. You'll never fly again.

He did of course but he couldn't have known that at the time.

  • @SoManySkinks - It's hard giving up your wings. I "surrendered" mine due to because I became a mom and was in grad school.

It takes an incredibly strong conviction in what you are doing to surrender the wings.

  • 2:08 is the best...

  • I loved this scene. It brought tears to my eyes, especially looking back to how Lee's relationship with his father was when he first arrived on the Galactica. Lee practically hated his father, but was completely devoted to him when he left as a Colonial Officer for the last time.

  • SO SAY WE ALL!!

  • thats exactly what my best friend says. She ADORES Battlestar Galactica.

  • I prefer the original Wander my Friends version and Reuniting the Fleet. Less percussion, but this version is really great too.

  • Tears at 1:26 ='(

  • @xVincentVx

I had tears in my eyes before the damn thing even started. I love the music from BSG

  • Bear McCreary is a master!! BSG Forever!!

  • oh it wll be forever!...or at lest a couple more years long lived! until something else furturistic gets a more realisitc emotional remake....everything does these days...

  • @StuartTheGamerNerd

All this has happened before. All this will happen again ;)

  • this is playing at my wedding 0:44 after the priest says you may kiss the bride :D

perfect way to leave the church

  • You should have it start playing from the beginning during your vows with the part you want hitting right at the "You may kiss the bride" part. There wikk not be a dry eye anywhere in that church.

  • Hardly marriage music. This is the music of a proud military tradition. This is a song to honor warriors and commemorate service. It would be better played on remembrance day.

  • @BSGfan84 Awesome!

  • This is my favourite version of the "Wander My Friends" theme.

  • Nice music though I wasn't too fond of the scene itself. It felt like it was dragged out too long.

  • incredible how bear keeps finding ways to out do his prior work

  • omfg the s4 album's out!!! lol

  • Admit it, we all would love to received a farewell sendoff like in this episode.

  • So say we all

  • Well, he served with honor and upholded his oath to serve and protect the colonial people.

So say we all mate =).

  • Given what happens later in the series, this scene takes on such a poignancy. Brings tears to ones eyes.

  • "I guess you got the house!"

  • This is my favorite album bear made

  • wow this album is really good!!

  • Like the use of bagpipes.

  • love this scene goodbye lee
