Truth is so important.It says, He is the Truth. Seeking Him and what He has to say to us. We can't let religion take the place of relationship with Christ. I encourage us all to seek out the meaning of what we all read and hold sacred. Find out for ourselves what God has to say concerning this situation, knowing not ALL the mysteries of God can be unfolded by our small minds. Walking by faith and not by sight will reward us when we meet Him. I need more info on the research for/against.

Reading many of the comments, I see bigotry is rampant in our community! Who ever would have thought that blacks would one day gain enough freedom and power to become what they fought against...compassion-less discriminatory bigots. Has anyone besides me read the book, Animal Farm?

I'll echo what is known as the essence of the womens and black rights movement of the 20th century and apply it to the 21 century issue of gay rights...ONE DAY WE'LL ALL BE FREE!

I don't know about those pastor's wives she refers to, but no gay man dresses ME in the morning! I was born a woman, born of and raised by a Godly mother who taught me how to dress in a beautifully feminine manner. I also learned from other beautifully-dressed women in the church. In fact, the only man who picked out and gave me beautiful clothes to wear to church as a teenager was my very-straight FATHER! My husband is a good dresser too, with not a gay bone in his body!

Hello Ashly, appreciate your response. Yet who are you to say what the real spirit of God is. What makes you the authority? Are you saying you have more of a perspective than I read scripture and live how I interpret them in context. I read the scripture for myself and allow the Holy Spirt to interpret for me-this is communion and real relationship with God.

Ok now that that is cleared, yes hating is wrong and so is homosexuality PERIOD and yes "they" know it is but will never come to grips with that but will be lost in their sins UNLESS you seek Jesus for what He will allow and will not!! God loves all but will NOT tolerate this sin. I love you all period. This is just wrong.If you dont believe this message just keep living. Either you meet Jesus when he returns or meet Him when you exit. God Bless

hI Ashly. I want to invite you to City of Refuge in SF. I hear what you are saying, but it's easy to say what is right and wrong when you do not have any experience. I'm not speaking of sexual experience, but knowing by being a part of the culture. The presence of God is here right now, I know Him & have a relationship with Him. He loves me as much as He loves you. God does not care who I Iove. I have the ability to love. That is the miracle and the blessing of God. God bless you

Well I have been there in the past and I understand the culture please believe me. Once youre there you believe that being gay is ok and that "wow God is here and this or that couldn't happen if God wasnt here so He must approve. Ooooh but I am here to tell you its pure deceit from the devil and you can never know it until you're out. I was know from my experience being there.

When one does not have the REAL spirit of God it is easy to be fooled by spirits that SEEM like there of God. There are soooo many endless spirits out there and there is one that feels like it could be the spirit of Jesus when infact its not.

Homosexuality is of the devil and is nothing more than a spirit and when you're in something like this and a part of this type of church spirits are all over you and they make you THINK God is ok with this and the spirit of God is here because "I feel it". Nothing but emotions and deceit.

WHY DO GUILTY GAY FOLK ALWAYS SAY DOOOOOOOOOON'T JUDGE?? I APOLOGIZE BUT JUST TIRED OF HEARING THAT. Now the bible says in I Corint. 6:2 Do ye not know that the saints shall judge the world? and if the world shall be judged by you, are ye unworthy to judge the smallest matters? Yes I promise you in all humility I am a saint thank you Jesus.

The people who judge now will not Judge later. Through their willingness to send judgment on SINNERS, and people who being hurt by the world and many people in their own home, communities, and churches, they are giving a stone to one who is asking for need a fish. If you don't or can't understand their pain, I is best to be quiet rather, preach the same stuff that is used to hurt these people spiritually, physically, and psychologically. Your word kill the person more the help them.

The bible plainly says "THE SAINTS SHALL JUDGE THE WORLD" straight up and there is nothing NO ONE can say to go against that period. It is what it is. In the end Jesus will judge yes but no one is talking about then but we're talking about now!! The bible gives authority to us on earth right NOW to call that rotten sin out and judge it!! Sorry. Yes the truth hurts bad I know but once you get with what Jesus says all you can say is two words and that is "Yes Lord".

No one is asking for a fish really but simply asking to please accept a lifesytle that will not be tolerated by Jesus. God DID not intend for man to be with man and yes gays know that but DO NOT want to accept it. Oh but wait until the end when Jesus comes back for the saints and the homosexuals that really think their ok will be in for the shock of their life!! I just pray these folks come to Jesus and get saved before its too late. There is not much time.

I'm glad that someone in the church finally stood up for same gender loving families. Who are we to judge with skeletons in our closets. How many same gender loving men and women has committed suicide cause of the bassing recieved from the pulpit. Its ok to be divorce from your husbands and wives, but yet same gender loving men and women are committed to hell. I agree with Bishop for the bold step of faith she has taking for this cause
