There is actually another dog in The Ginga series called Riki. He was a red Akita-Inu who was the first leader of Ohu and was the father of Gin. There was a separate manga about his past and he is shown in many flashbacks in Ginga Densetsu Weed. He was eventually killed by the Demon Bear Akakabuto, but was shown as the most important and most courageous dog that anyone has ever seen! Nice vid anyways ! :)

i cried when i read this in the manga. i was surprised cause no anime or manga ever made me cry in the first book or episode. i really cried! espcially cause he is just like my golden retriever Max, hes 12 now. and i had him since i was 4. he is extremely loyal and is just like Ricky. i cant bear the thought of him going. though i believe the chiuaha is Ricky. i have a pomeranien now so i feel alittle better. thx so muhc for posting this!!

My 2 dogs get on my nerves a lot but I can't stand the thought of them passing away... i think one of them is going deaf or something....

thanks so much and i hope yours live a long time too, some people give up on them when there old but there still the same dog u love just needing more physcial care. i knew a dog that lived till he was 17 so its deffinitly possible! ^_^
