Absolutely not . The difference is , Fred Astaire was dapper and jazzy when he did his moves but Michael was debonair and Supernatural when he performed,at most times.

No one was in Michael's Category. No one was in Elvis's category. No one was in Whitney's category. They were all larger than life stars who couldn't cope with the stress of fame. They all became the victims of drug abuse. But their musical talents will never be forgotten. It's as simple as that.

@katiefj1 Hospital room? And if you knew anything about Michael you'd know that he'd been on drugs since the late 80's.Whitney didn't fall in the bathtub. I have no idea where you're getting your information. And Whitney also admitted to drug abuse. But that's not the point. The thing that people should remember entertainers for is the mark they left on the entertainment industry.

Elvis, Michael ,Judy Garland, Whitney, the countless others who have managed to survive and come out of it but they fell prey to the disease of substance abuse, also.Ray Charles had the same problem but he did not die from it.

@fbylily Elvis died from conjestive heart failure , Elvis had been abusing perscription drugs but it waqs not drugs that killed him , Elvis was on very high pain meds due to several problems in his stomach..en larged , spatic colan, liver failure also an enlarged heart which he was born with and it was found that he was suffering from bone cancer..his father wanted to keep these results private for 25 years after his death.
Elvis did abuse meds but it was his conditions that killed him

His impact on our culture far greater and his legacy is untouchable by Whitney, Madonna, Britney, Sinatra, Stevie Wonder and even Elton John. MJ is in the same league as Elvis and the Beatles. On that same God like plateau, but that's it. Not Whitney. She was great but so were a lot of people.
