  • The system is in a vaccum chamber. This prevents the sound wave vibrations to be transported to the detector.

New Phone # is 706 870 4150 for Laser Physics.

GW waves causebthe fiber to bend. the fiber is a wave guid and the E fields are effected in the fiber by GW'S do to stress on the fiber. On the oscilloscope are vibrations are caused by the table vibration to demostrate the effect of GW on the fiber when it is not in a vaccum chamber!

  • how do you isolate your gravity wave detector from trucks driving by? do you perhaps use your oscillomoscope?

  • A vacuum does not prevent vibration transfer... it only prevents acoustic vibration transfer. If you have a fiber in a vacuum, it is much more sensitive to temperature variation, and of course to vibration at the support points... Isn't this setup like LIGA, only much more sensitive to vibration at support points and temperature variation within vacuum? Yes, much cheaper because it's on a table top, but realistically is seems much more sensitive to vibration, and thus less accurate...

  • Well the fiber and laser unit is supported in a magnetic field! and is some thing like the LIGO support mirros only better ans easier! The temperature are transferd by thermal vibrtions But the fiber is in a vaccum! No heat will transfer in through a vaccum to the fiber!

INFO is transmetted out throught a optical window at the end of the camber! All IR and other EM radiation is shelded buy the houseing! Only a GW can effect the fiber. the fiber is a wave guid!! This is distorted buy GW'S

  • No you are wrong!acoustic vibration transfer is heat (temperature) and IR and all other EM radiation is sheiled buy the meatle vaccum chamber!

The hole system floats in a magnetic field and is controled by a loop system to copensate any outside vibration. Info is transmited out buy a laser beam out through a window on the chamber to a nother detector! The laser, fiber,GW detector is in the chamber! Then the info is converted back into light (led) diode to send the info out through the window!

  • A thermos bottle uses a vacuume to prevent thermal vibration ( This is a form of acoustic vibration transfer you are talking about which is temperature!) Only IR(heat radiation EM) and all other EM radiation will travel in a vacuum, But the meatel vacuum chamber that houses the laser fiber optical system, Shields it from all EM.Only High speed nutrons, beta, gama. can penetrate into the system but the frequency of these do not effect the GW detector in the unit! I hope this will help you!

  • The Vacuum chamber is EMI sheilded from thermal radiation. No IR heat! is transmitem.

The fiber floats in a magnetic field and the field is phased locked loop for ground vibration. The GW,s we are looking for, are up in the meghz reagon. no gound vibration at that those wavelength

  • By electromagnetic field and Vacuum chabmer!

  • sound wave

  • no GWs atc Sound frequency Yes sound waves when not isolated!

  • not gravity waves...
