I found the only way I could play this game was with a Logitech Steering Wheel (Driving Force GT) and even so, I had to adjust all the settings (deadzone&sensitivity) until it was actually playable. Then finally I got to enjoy this game. It's ok but far from great! Also manualw/clutch>automatic, you need every ounce of control you can get if you want to be pro and being able to rev up the rpms in the corners can shave seconds off an already fast laptime!

@300Kills1 Well, no matter what the NFS series does, there will always be people refusing to admit its good. Personally Shift & Shift 2 are the only NFS games i'll play, because the graphics are great, and its fun to play. Some people forget that all racing games are just that, games... simply meant for entertainment and fun. some might argue "oh but this game is a simulator and shift isnt" and i say, Fuck off they're all GAMES. lol

@300Kills1 That's a pretty reductionist approach. Shift 2 may be more 'arcady', but Gran Turismo 5 is more of a real simulator and is a much bigger game. It all depends on what you like in the game so saying it's better isn't really true. GT5 is better than Shift 2 in some ways and visa versa :)

NFS the best games ever, GT5 is boring piece of shit.... NFS Shift2 is 10 times better than Gt5, and the HP & The RUN is absolutly amaizing to play + Autolog is best thing made.... keep up good work NFS you are the best ;) only bad side of NFS is that best graphics can see only on powerfull PC, becouse PS3 and X360 is to weak :(

both great games

if you want a real racing sim with use with a steering wheel and pedals (logiteck g27) this game cannot be beaten

if you want a nice game that you can jump into and play with loads of customisation then shift 2 is you're game
