Of all the commandments, which is the most important? The most important one, answered JESUS, is this: Hear O Isreal, the Lord our GOD, the Lord is one. Love the Lord your GOD with all your heart and all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.
the second is this:Love your neighbor as yourself. There is no other commandment greater than these.

i will say this concerning this song. amen and amen. i heard it 20 years ago and even today (feb 27) it still applies. zzbirdman, you are right.

The answer lies in that we don't really want God's love, and yet He continues to love us....providing us with answers to the hunger, death and disease, accepting His grace and living as we were designed for....love God with all our hearts; and to love our neighbor as ourselves. These are the two greatest commandments which God gave. If only we would live this out....the world would be so much better.

there are those who ask me, how can chrisitians give their money away to the church, worse yet TV evangilists, and yet totally disregard others, even their own neighbors? The only response I can give them is, no penny spent, nor the smallest prayer spoken for another, not even the smallest of deed to help anyone goes unnoticed by God our Father. as much as you have done this for the least of my children, so you have done this for me. now is the day to help feed, clothe, and give shelter to any.

I'm not the the epitomy of the best christian in the world, but i break down and cry every time i hear this song. People ask me if there is a god , why so much hunger, death and diease? Maybe god is testing those who truly believe in him to start acting, start showing others the true unconditional love that only comes from christ the risen savior and king.

You are so accurate here. That is exactly what God expects and the reason people are not the best Christians in the world is not because they fail to live up to a moral code, but because they fail to act on their belief and they fail to show God's love to others.
